Why is my fort getting pwned?

I have a lvl 30 Widow and i decided to take her to SC but when I start fighitng I get owned by almost everyone.. Im fully sloted with SOs but no IOs.. my stealth works like [censored] so thats useless untill I get stealth IO... which are way to expensive and nobody is even selling them at my lvl.. and some body told me it would be useless to even get it cause id still be seen.. is that true?.. So is it just me? does any one have any tips or what not? someone plz help

Reroll..forts are garbage now. Defense took a big hit last issue.

I wonder what level of elusivity would actually be correct?

30% was generally considered too much, 10% too little...

I wonder if they gave us around 15% (depending on the set) and made it enhanceable?

Having Def IOs grant elusivity in any meaningful amount could work, but it would also be counter to any design goal to make elusivity protect intrinsically defended characters in preference to those who are granted def buffs... if there is in fact any such goal...

Yah forts were awesome - maybe a lil too awesome so they took the big nerf bat and now they stink in zone pvp...

back to flying blasters with snipe and stalkers !!

Def may have taken a hit, but it is not entirely useless either. i recently finished leveling up my em/sr brute, spent about 200 mill on him and he is a beast. in RV my def are roughly as follows:

Ranged - 43%

Melee - 39%

AoE - 42%

When i would fightklub with him, i would constantly have people sending me tells saying "gj, man that dude is hard as hell to kill/hit"

so in all honesty, def based toons can still be good.

oh, and the same goes for my fort...still pretty much unstoppable in RV, not as easy as before, but still not a whole lot to worry about either.

The only forts i see in RV nowadays are face down.....sonic blasters take their lunch money and spend it in front of them, and with all the downy broadsword scrappers around debuffing your already meh defense....everything will hit you. Only things brutes have going for them right now is taunt..there dmg is not that great cause fury still sucks [censored] in PvP (when will this get fixed). But as it stands right now in PvP Taunt > Buffers. Kind of crazy..but it's the truth. SR Brutes really don't make good taunt bots...they were awesome when defense rocked...but now not so much.

Still sucks that your options are pretty much:

Roll one of a very small number of ATs and/or powerset combos, and take powers that are next to useless anywhere else (Phase Shift)

-OR-

Don't PvP


And I don't see this ever changing. The devs are unlikely to ever fix it, so I am unlikely to be seen in PvP zones. Well, they keep trying to fix it, but their approach to fixing PvP is akin to solving a household pest problem by burning down the house (which the pests tend to live through)

When they nerfed forts damage and elusiveness, they should have increased their stealth capp imo. At least before although you could see them, you couldn't get consistent hits on them like now.

QTF. And the funniest thing is, the number of viable AT's/powesets has never been as limited as it is now. The entire point of I13, at least officially, was to fix that.

Game design literally cannot possibly get any worse than I13 in CoH. Hell, a book could be written about it called "How NOT to design games, unless you want to never work as a game designer again." Hmmm....actually that's a bit too long for a title. Will have to shorten it to "[censored] morons".

Still sucks that that's facts, now more than ever. You can thank the devs for making Phase Shift a required power for zone and team arena because of the retarded travel suppression rules.
