2 ways to open up the build.
1) Forget about Weaken Combo, not my favorite option, I never chose it, but I believe it's the most popular choice. Blinding Feint--Attack Vitals is Dual Blades bread and butter, the rest is just extra.
2) Forget about the Epics. Fighting Pool is your epic pool. It's the route I chose, but might not be the best option for those timid of IO builds. Just means you won't have a ranged attack.

Zamuel, there are no pre-requisites for this TF. It grants XP from level 15-20. In your case, the TF will automatically exemplar you down to level 20 so you wouldn't earn any XP. This TF does grant a badge you will need for an important accolade and grants a nice chunk of merits (57 merits?). Hope you decide to join.

Masque just doesn't like DB.
I still don't get Masque's grip about DB/WP, it's a solid set. More solid than I originally gave it credit. It's one of my strongest scrappers.
Would folks still be interested in a Synapse run if we moved it to:

It's somewhat tight if you want all of the attacks and combos, but if you don't want to have to take all of the powers in both sets, you can drop some from DB and do okay. I personally have all the attacks and like that setup (it's good to have options for combos and for when you exemp), and have had very few issues with my Tanker that's WP/DB. It's ST damage doesn't bloom as early as Mace or Super Strength, but it's still nice. I particularly love doing an AV followed by a Sweep combo... lot's of orange numbers that drops quite a few opponents.
As for the combos, I think Weaken probably isn't as useful for a Scrapper (but it might be nice solo), but it's great as a tanker. Debuffs your foes, gets their attention, and makes them easier for all your buddies to hit. I notice when it's debuffing as opposed to when it's not (my one death in the Psyche TF Saturday came after the debuff from Weaken dropped and I missed one attack in reapplying the combo).
I wish I could make the TF tonight, but can't. I usually am playing Tuesday, Wednesday, and some weekend night.

Willpower is a great set. Dual Blades is a good set.
I like Islay scotch. I like Fernet Branca. Putting Willpower and Dual Blades together is like mixing the two together. Willpower is incomplete without eight of the nine powers, and so is Dual Blades. They go better for sets with more optional powers on the other side, like say Martial Arts, or Fire Armor.
