Not a complaint just a idea. I am happy as it stands now they fixed the bugged hero hvy. This was just suggestion

Always felt Time Bomb and, I suppose, Omega Manoeuvre, should have some way to remote-detonate them. It's just really, REALLY hard to use on a team and I've only ever managed it, like, twice ever.
Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.

Yeah something i have noticed alot of since i got my crab up in lv's. Solo its good but not teams.

So Dual-Build to drop it? Either that or drop it onto groups your team hasn't aggroed yet. Sure you run the risk of a Double-pull, but the Taunt-Aura from the bomb ensures that the pull will come late in the fight, rather than a massive clusterbump of damage.
I'd like to propose a separate change to Crabs.
Get rid of the F-ing backpack when I dual-build into a Bane-spec! I can't -have- 'Off Duty' clothes with the giant spider legs sticking out of my lower spine. So please grant me the concession of dual-building into plain-clothes! >_<

Not only is there a technical reason why the backpack can't be removed (y'know, because it took freaking forever to get it to work properly AT ALL), but in-story, the backpack is surgically grafted to a Crab Spider's spine and connected to his nervous system.

I happen to RP my own Crab Spider as having finely-tuned controls inside her gloves that allow her, with quite a bit of training, to control the arms.
Until I see the Dev-approved Canon on those things being surgically grafted I'll just ignore anyone who demands my crab work that way.

Unless the the backpack is one solid piece (movable parts indicate it isn't) theres no reason it couldn't be only the control nodes are fused to the spine while the actual mechanical parts are removable. Heck, If the pack isn't modular in some fasion, it'd be impossible to repair large scale damage.

Not the official answer, but it does explain why it appears to work the way it does. Whether you refuse to accept it, doesn't change the fact that it probably won't be fixed to your liking anytime soon.
Oh. I accept that the game won't allow for it, right now. I'd -like- for there to be a workaround. Perhaps setting up Dual-Builds as 'dropping' the powers off the character until the build is restored, thus unflagging the 'Crab Powers?' question.

The game, however, describes the extreme surgery for the Tarantula.
For Crabs it just describes powerful powered armor.

Once upon a time not everything on a character would inherit the same visibility as the character, you could wind up invisible with a stunningly obvious jet pack. What about reversing that, and providing a means to set the crab pack invisible while leaving the rest of the character alone? A free to run toggle would work for both costume changes and dual builds, while making it part of, say Bane Armor Upgrade, would make it work for dual builds, but eliminate any oddball issues that might crop up. Heck, there are temp costume powers in game that make the pack disappear, might be able to get away with one that only changes the back slot.
Not that I think even that would be simple, but it may be a direction the Devs haven't looked it for all I know.

Interesting idea.
My brain must not be functioning well, 'cause I have no idea what you just said. But still, the words I was able to get out of that post suggested it as a good idea.
Take this old bug and reverse it, basically. Instead of the legs staying while everything else goes, only the legs go.
Only change a crab needs. Allow you to detonate Omega Maneuvers we you are ready to. Mobs die before it goes off.
