Something I found: Fantasy Grounds
hot damn, now i can finally play a tabletop game in my hobby shop-less town AND rub it into the faces of smug tabletop vets who think that's the only thing that matters in rp experience!
This is great!
Now if only it didn't cost 30-40 bucks...
As I was going up the stair
I met a man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today.
I wish, I wish, he'd stay away.

Yah. I think there was a bit of a stink about how this software went from free to 40 bucks overnight with little warning but maybe that was another piece of tabletop software.
Either way a lot of positive reviews on this link

Looks interesting. I second the request for a personal review if you get it.

Game Table - not as fancy, not as pretty, but free, and gets the job done.
This is what I use (located in Pittsburgh, PA) to rp with a group of friends in Syracuse, NY. They all gather around the GM's large screen tv, he hooks his laptop to the tv and runs the software off of that for the group, I connect to it with my pc and connect via Teamspeak for voice.
The pog I use for my 4ed Warlord I actually created using the CoH character generator...yay Warlord with a Cragshammer...
Arc #345863 - When The Bough Breaks
"Curse you Perry the Plata...wait, is that Love Handel?" - Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, Phineas and Ferb
hrmmm....worth a look as well.

Also cool. Thanks.
Upside
This thing is very well done. You can really get in-depth Campaign going, Maps, Layout, Pictures, etc... Has bunch of Mods for 3.5 & 4th as well other RP games that Im not familiar with(Minus Cuthulu)
I enjoyed that part
Downside
Can be tad epic at times to learn, but once learned goes to upside. Costs bout 40 bucks & 25 bucks, first being for GMs, second for players. Mods, trying get info sometimes could be downside, though it does have extensive 3.5 & they are working on 4th. I would love to find a RIFTS one or L5R.
Honestly, if you got the money to spare, I feel its a good hobby expense.

I Highly suggest you sit down & watch the Tutorial Vid, its about 24 mins long.
Another downside, I cant get myself registered on their forums, I can't get past the stupid: Put what you see in code crap, I know Im seeing EXACTLY what it's suppose to be, but wont accept it. THAT annoys me.

JJ, are you putting the whole thing, or just the character in black like the instructions say? I swear, it took me forever to notice that myself in the instruction paragraph, despite the fact that it's in caps and bolded >.<
I'll be giving this a try as well, I'm just waiting for my payment to clear. My group is very excited about this program. It seems to have everything we were looking for in a virtual game table.
