Deadliest Warrior COH Style
Last night on the test server I ran some tests on the Custom Critter Blaster Secondary Sets on standard level . The only set that stood out was Devices. It was extremely weak. No matter what ranged attack it was paired with, the Devices Blasters got creamed.

I'd love to see the results of this. I've had a few rather long arguments with my friends about which of these two factions is more powerful.
Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.
I belieive that Devices is the epitomi of run and gun while bing fiarly weak in that aspect.
Trip mines gets enemies that chase you but byt if you are dealing with fast foes or just a few of them, they will be well past the dangerou zone by time they go off.
Caltrops will slow down runners but my brother has noticed that by time they take effect, mobs tend to be on the outside edge in your direction.
Time Bomb is really a huge waste dispite how powerful it is. If you can't get in to plant it before a fight it's no good. Trying to plant it on the runwill not or is so rarely possible that it also constatatutes a complete waste of time.
Web Grenade is useful to keep foes away and slows down their atacking speed in the process.
Smoke Grenade's -tohit is... laughable but combined with Cloaking Device is handy for the time bombe when used together though it can be said that all that work just for the time bomb to be usable is far to much for a crap reward.
I think most devices are a tactical power which does not go well at all with a generic AI script. In addition Devices cuts the damage nearly in half for custom critters which is a huge drop.
Web Nades should only be used on tanks, scrappers, targets with movement powers or under 20% health
Taser should be used in combination with a snipe attack so the snipe attack would go off before the taser wears off
Mines or Time Bombs should only be placed if targets are immobilized or slowed (in combination with caltrops)
Obviously the current pattern of doing every attack in order never checking the situation will not work well with devices.

If you're soloing /Dev is intensely frustrating. The webnade/caltrop combo (both of which get spammed by groups) produces immense recharge AND movement slow. I logged out of a mission once (admittedly, on a Brute) because I couldn't reach the enemies and they couldn't kill me.
