I can vouch for this team that they were practicing and anticipating this event. You guys spent alot of time talking about builds, slotting out your toons, respecing your toons, and testing your toons in the arena for this event. Most of the time I got the smack down. (hmmm maybe it's a good thing now... I'll have a chance....) Too bad you can't go further.
Do you think you can find 2 new members for your team? Or perhaps you can be a sub? I'm sure they are in much demand during the Sundays. If you want.... my other half, Ghrowler said he will stand in if you don't mind having a cruddy blaster... hey that's his words not mines okay?

Hello all.
From what I have read on the forum and heard in private messages (in game) there is some concern about griefing and generally defining the term.
Because this league is in its first inception, there will most likely be things we forgot to add to the rules and guidelines. I'd like to open up this discussion to all of the players involved. Have you noticed anything that you would consider unfair? If you have, please describe it here (hopefully without directly accusing any other team).
I personally have thought of three things that might be an issue that we might not have addressed.
1. Spawn camping. The arena has had numerous variations in how the mechanics of respawning works. Our current system is a static location for ALL team members (different location per team), a rolling timer and a 10 second "unaffected" period. Spawn camping would consist of players from one team setting up an offensive at the location of an opposing teams respawn. While the "unaffected" period prevents damage to the respawned players while they buff and prepare, it can still pose a problem. Targeting is still viable as well as some toggle debuffs. Generally it is fair consensus that players allow opposing teams a extended respawn zone. If a player is still on the respawn location buffing themselves or toggling, it is polite to allow them to move into a more common battleground area. This leads to the next issue.
2. Turtleing. Which I suspect we will see very little of this (its more of a component to zone PvP) I do believe the guidelines of etiquette for spawn camping could lead to turtleing. This would be a player or players staying in the respawn area and not engaging the enemy when the score is leaning in their favor. But again, because of the mechanics of the arena, I find this will be a rarely occuring issue.
3. Inspiration. The rules state that tier 1 inspiration are the only ones allowed. These can be bought from the vendor at any arena. If you believe that your opponent has anything except tier 1, insist on an inspiration swap. This is where you initiate a trade window, drag ALL of your inspiration into the trade so the other player can see, then cancel.
So again, lets open this up for discussion. After we talk about it, we will hopefully formalize these etiquette guidelines into our current or next years rule set.

You can also add me to the sub pool. I'm ingame fairly often so if anyone needs a Defender or Scrapper (my current only 50s on Pinnacle, though I'll have a Rad/Therm soonish...and a Tanker) global me @Neuronia.
I don't see anyone using Tier2s or Tier3s. You can figure out if Enrages past tier 1 are being used by taking PowerNameValue+Damagebonuses+Inspiration bonuses in the combat log. A bit tricky/tedious but if it really becomes an issue... 
Also, greens are pretty eay to spot. I think a Tier one does +251 Health on a squsihy, a Tier2 is +260 or +270 etc...anyways. (Yeah, I've spent too much time in Arena matches).
Also, the new Arena settings make camping a little harder. Harder than it used to be anyway, where you could just target and follow a dead character and farm them immediately.

That brings up another issue we ran into. Anyone in a fully registered team should not be eligible to compete as a sub-pool player. The idea behind this is sub-pool players are not invested in the outcome of the league rounds, so win or loss it doesn't effect any record they have (since well...they don't have a record).
This is not to say they can't fight in practice matches, just not in a scheduled league matches as an alternate. Any thoughts on this?

I just want to PvP. I would only PvP if I could level that way in this game.
The only matches I care about are my own but I get how it looks bad if someone is on a roster and in the sub pool as well.

one issue that has not been addressed is when a rescheduled match is set up, I personally think a rescheduled match should have to require a Rep there to witness it. This will verify that the match actually occured, no one can say "we can say we fought and call it a tie" also the other rules will be enforced such as no spawn camping.
I know I'm not personally in the league, or even sub pool, but I do attend every match my husband is in, and I am using the matches to watch and learn. With several different PvP styles on the teams set, I get a wide range of play styles to observe.
I am glad the league was set up, it allows people such as myself to watch and learn over time, as well as jump in on practice fights to get a feel for things with no risk of being the "weak link" to a team.
EnnVee, your point is a good one and we have had reps at the matches. Buck was around for the rematch the other night and NinjaVampyre or Buck are generally around for the Sunday events.
I think...in a 'casual-friendly' league like this, the less asshattery the better all around. People need to have fun with it then decide if they want to keep at it afterwards.

Drama aside, I have to agree with X. This is a very casual league, no major prizes, just fun. Rescheduling does seem to be a difficult thing, especially when you are trying to get 6 people together. As far as I know, all three of us are available to mediate or watch a match if you let us know ahead of time. And at the request of the players, I'm sure we can work it out. But making a requirement does seem to add more red tape to get through.

anyhow, dont get all flustered because someone put you on the spot. take it as constructive critisism. no one else seems to stand up to you and your "ways", and when someone finally does you get taken aback. your not invincible, dont act like you are.
Reguardless if ennvee is in the league or not, she posted a suggestion where suggestions about the league are to be posted. outside opinions are just as valuable as ones from the participants. you never know what ideas may come across, and make total sense.
in my eyes, the matches should be regulated by reps. granted this is a casual affair, but there still needs to be an officiating body to verify the proceedings. im not saying that anyone would cheat, but i dont know everyone personally, so i cant make a secure judgement about character.
