Kheldians and Power Customization
Keep in mind, the devs didnt say not a chance, just not a huge priority atm. The debate on should they (khelds) change is they are energy beings. PB being light and WS being dark. I could possibly see tinting of thier original colors but that is about it.

I am personaly very annoyed by the sheer number of new features to which Kheldians are simply not a huge priority on.
If it is a true AT it needs to be included as such in ALL new features not back burnered because not enough people play them.
Either put us in the same priority catagory as the other AT's or remove Kheldians from the game.
I'm tired of being a second class citizen in paragon.
If you PL'd to 50 just to get an "epic" thinking you'd be ber, you're going to be sorely disappointed with the HEATs, because the VEATs were designed so that anyone with one good finger and a braincell can rock the toggles.
You do realize that Requiem, the Crystals, and the final AV are the ONLY Nictus in the task force. Three enemies is a far difference than "all" as you say. I only say three because I don't count all the Crystals as difference enemies.

And you do realize you could have made your point without snark, right? I know I could have, but I thought I'd pass it back to make a point. What's up with the angst from my fellow Kheld players these days? Did Arakahn step on your favorite Photon Seeker/Fluffy?
Someone else thought someone's animation idea was stupid (like they wouldn't have the option of keeping what they have now), and I've seen this rudeness in other threads, too. Relax everyone, we're in this together.
Obsidian, I know what you mean... Kheldians were on the backburner for far too long, and they didn't benefit from the same thought out process that VEATs got, either. I think we're doing better than Defenders, though... they've pretty much sat as they are for years: we at least got a beneficial working over not too long ago.

The form powers share the same color as the form colors?
That's exactly how Necromancy works...
To be honest, after seeing how laggy the game has become, at least when I'm playing my Kheldians, and sometimes on some of my other characters, I'm quite ready for the whole colour-customization feature to be rolled back!!!!

I don't believe lag is caused by a color being different than it actually was.... We had lag problems well before then... From what I can tell (on missions that seem to have it the worst), it is a combination of map architecture, hordes of enemies, full teams of 8, and both enemy horde and teammates' animations all working together that causes the server/your computer to respond slower--trying to calculate everything that's going on.
Factor in that you're just one such mission (of MANY) that may be running at any given time, coupled with the fact that even more people seem to have moved on to higher populated servers, and you have even more reasons for lag than before.
I'd say before a power customization rollback, I'd be looking at a total server upgrade (IMO).
"Alien"
76 characters and Twenty-four 50s later, I still love this game.

To be honest, I've never really wanted to customize the appearance of my Kheldian powers but rather the appearance of my Kheldian forms. Being able to choose for example the "eye" color of my Nova/Dwarf, and add a sash to the Dwarf and tie scarves to my Nova's tentacles means a lot more to me than changing the colors of my blasts.
If anything excites me about I16's power customization it is the ability to choose a graphic theme to your powers — for example, the Crystal theme usable on Earth Control powers — than actually changing the colors themselves. Even that though is just a cosmetic that I wasn't ever bothered with. |
My tiny (*when in human form) warshade, has been yearning and craving for years to look like the kheldian that she really is.
- In squid form, she wants to wear a big purple bow on her tail. Yes I am serious.
- In dwarf form, she wants to be a tiny, short dwarf. A mini version of them. A small, angry, vicious mini dwarf form of doom.
- And she wants sparkles. Purple sparkle auras, for every single form that she morphs into.

That is all.
I'd ask for that too actually... and exactly in that order so that it can be mathematically proven that CC is responsible!

I used to think I wouldn't want Kheldian customization. I like the blue/purple blasts of my warshade and I've made costumes to match that I'm very happy with.
I've recently started a PB that absolutely begs for customization. The theme is a kheldian who bonded with a computer AI, rather than a carbon based life form, and now inhabits the fiber optic circuitry. An armored suit was built around the "Kheldian Khapsule," which has offensive and defensive modes (depending on the state of cosmic balance and the role I feel like playing on the team). Without armor, the costume is all blue/white. Assault mode adds red bits of armor and shield mode adds green. I'd like to see the blasts and shields change color to match so that the team can see which role I've decided to play.
Where to now?

The animations fit perfectly, the only one I would like changed is Radiant Strike needs to have Havoc Punches animation instead of jab.
Knockout Blow may look kinda popeye weird, but the current animation (Jumping 3 feet up in the air, exposing your gut for a good couple seconds, then slamming down with with both fist) is 'perfect' you say?... MmmmKay... Well, we all have our ideas on what looks stupid, I suppose
