[Help me decide] Fully io'ed : troller or WS?
First, your English is fine. You write better than most native English speakers I see on forums.
But to your question, I would pick the Warshade. Carry a couple break frees with you, and you'll feel like a tank mage.
I have both at level 29 atm. But, personally, i love playing the troller more and have even thought about deleting the WS. Not sure why, just can't get into it BUT i love the visuals so i'll prolly keep him. lol.
It's really up to which one you like playing with more.
My Ill/Rad Controller can do stuff my TriFormShade can't and vice versa, but of one thing I am sure. My TriFormShade requires a lot more work to handle even though it slaughters things like the Ill/Rad can't and while the TriFormShade is a raging beast, when I'm facing a lone tough Elite Boss (or even a custom-critter AE Boss), I'd rather be doing it on my Ill/Rad Controller.

Ill/Storm troller, all the way.
I love my WS, but even at 50 he needs a team to really shine, not to mention there are a lot of sacrifices I had to make in terms of slots and power choices to fit everything in.
My Ill/Storm IS a team, and can control the whole battlefield. Not anywhere near Perma anything yet with her, but she is a blast to play even at 25.
Thanks for the replies.
I was also wondering if my WS will be team-friendly and what would he bring to a team... A lot of people looking for more damage seem to focus on blasters/scrappers and forget kheldians.
The trouble you have with Kheldians is that not everyone can make them. Of those that can, not all choose to do so. Of those that do, not all enjoy them. You combine that with the tremendous variety in Kheldian builds and it makes Khelds difficult to pigeonhole into roles like 'damage' or 'tank'. Which of course is the point to begin with, but it sometimes leads to team leads passing Khelds over because they don't understand what Khelds bring or they don't want an unknown quantity.
So what do Khelds bring to the table? It really depends on the Kheld and the player behind it. But I'll tell you what the potential is. I'll talk specifically about tri-form Warshades here because that's what's relevant to you. A tri-form Warshade brings excellent AOE damage, good control, good tanking ability, fair aggro management, good survivability and excellent pets for yet more AOE damage. The tri-former is a juggernaut that just keeps rolling, drawing strength from large mobs, wiping them out, and then restoring itself to full health and endurance from their fallen bodies before moving on to the next.
They are absolutely team friendly and most experienced players will want them because they know that more enemies just means more power for a tri-form 'shade. You may have to do some educating, however, as not all players will understand what you can do.
As for the original question of which you should go all-out and IO, I think the best answer is eryq2's. Whichever you enjoy more. Neither would be a poor choice.

Sure, last time I checked there were 14 WS (only one lvl 50 !) for 174 blasters logged on Freedom (was 5pm if I remember correctly).
I find my Triform WS very very fun. She deals tons of damage (eh, sometimes I wonder how a WS compares to a blaster), she can restore her health/end after each fight and her powers look so cool (love that dark purple'ish color).
She just hit 32 and I picked Dark extraction. Well, the power is not slotted but it does not seem to deal a lot of damage, will see with proper slotting. The power looks really cool though.
My only concerne was teams. Solo she does not shine and if she can't get a team because people don't understand khelds the journey to 50 is gonna be hard !
Thanks for your opinions, they are greatly helping me !
Obviously you're going to want Dark Extraction slotted up, but I'd add that the real beauty comes in multiples. Unlike many pets, you can have more than one Extracted Essence out at one time, probably because you need fallen enemies to fuel the power. With some good slotting and +recharge you can have two out pretty much all the time, three some of the time. They add a lot of extra blasting power.
As for the team concern, yes, Warshades can be a pain to solo. They can do it decently enough, even fairly well if you gear your second build for it, but at the end of the day you're built for teaming and that's where you're going to shine.
I wouldn't count the Warshade out solely because of your fears about teaming though, especially on Freedom. Once the after-effects of the exploit craze fully dissipate I expect it'll go back to being the easiest server to get a team for just about anything.

I'll fully admit to bias here.
I *love* my Kheldians. Two PBs and a 'Shade at 50, and working on more. And once my 'shades are built up a bit, they're on Unyielding. (Early on, with nova, they're wiping out everything in range in Perez or Boomtown.)
While I also love Controllers (and Doms,) I *cannot stand* Illusion. It shouldn't be, IMHO, a *controller* set, as it's got slightly less control than a drunk wearing roller skates on a merry-go-round. Playing my Illusion controllers... I'll get maybe two missions at best in before I "go find a real controller to play" in disgust. (By comparison, give me... well, just about any other set and I'll be playing 'til I fall asleep at the keyboard hours later.)
So with that bias fully out - go with the Warshade.
Thanks for all the answers.
I was wondering if, after the last changes to kheldians, the nova was still better at damage than the dwarf form...
The dwarf can double stack the mires and deals a lot of damage and is still far tougher than the nova.
Has anyone tried to use the dwarf form for damage instead of the nova?

I usually end up in dwarf form to do damage instead of Nova, but that's more due to prevalence of mezzes than anything else.
It's not exactly lacking in damage, but I never really did any comparison.
it has gone from unconscionable to downright appalling that we have no way of measuring our characters' wetness.

Hi,
!
I'm having a hard time choosing between two toons. I don't have enough time and influence to level and slot them both.
So I'm torn between my lvl 30 WS and my lvl 38 Ill/storm troller.
I know both can be great toons but I have to make a choice. So, what would YOU choose between a Lvl 50 Ill/storm troller w/ perma hasten / perma PA and a lvl 50 triform WS w/ perma eclipse / perma hasten ?
Which one would be the more team friendly?
I know they both have their advantages :
WS :
- Great damage (mires, dark sustenance, dark nova !)
- great resistances (eclipse, dwarf)
- good end/health management
- great pets
- nice visual effects
Troller :
- perma PA would probably be over
- good damage
- great debuff
- good controls
Both can stealth, both would make powerful toons. But for now I have to decide and I can't really make up my mind. Maybe your experiences and thoughts could help me choose.
Thank you !
