From the I15 patch notes
Huzzah!
Though it will be odd going "huh, that crate wasn't there before!" It'd be nice if you can have the glowy set to be already in place but not marked as "active" until the triggering time.
link?
Not in the patch notes, but in the description of the little test arc I made:
WARNING! Story arc may contain: Archvillains, Elite Bosses, Enemies with custom power selections.
Also, I filled a mission with Midnighters and set it to go to 50. It's full of greys. Oh, the possibilities.
Also available in test mode: Buttons to Go to next objective, Kill target, invisibility, invincibility, and the maps now have all front, middle and back spawn points marked.
Aaaaand, I gave my AR custom boss two powers. That's it. On the "Custom" setting you can remove powers that are there on Standard.
Oh, and you can mark an arc "Looking for Feedback," and search by level, and add "ask about this contact" info, and....
I am now officially totally distracted from getting a bunch of badges yoinked.

The changes sound like they're going to be a huge help in setting up missions. I love the idea of seeing the spawn points, to be able to tweak what goes where, and to choose appropriate maps to make it work better. I also like that we'll be able to set triggers for glowies to spawn after something else happens. All of the changes sound good. I can't wait to see exactly what the MA toolbox does. Now though, with all these changes, I'm definitely going to be sad that we still only have 3 slots available. I would love to have at least 5.

wow that sounds awesome.
sounds like custom groups can be very cool now - no more every devices has web grenade
Also undocumented, you can change the color, name, and faction for many dev-created creatures. Pink-suited Council? Check!

Nice. I had heard that we could only add powers but not take them away. If so, MMs can remove pets and just have the Laser Rifle/Dual Pistol sets
Thanks for the summary EvaDestruction. With those features most of my published arcs will be due for revision.
Well you can't take them all away. The first two powers seem to be locked in, at least with my limited checking before I was yanked away from my squeeing to go run a Katie....but it looks like it'll definitely be easier to make custom critters suitable for lowbie arcs.
And it doesn't let you CHOOSE the spawn points. Just see them. They are color coded for front, middle and back.
OOO, I can change stuff for standard critters? Really? Sweet, now your goons in the villain arc I'm working on will be less 5th Columny and more Your Goony.

I'll throw in this question in case you get a chance to check:

Defendable Objects: Do enemies more actively attack the object so you are actually forced to actively defend it or do they just "punch once and ignore" like they do now? Likewise, does the ambush that is attached to the objective acknowledge the object at all or do they just go straight towards you like they do now? Finally, is there any way to make defeating the auto ambush for the Defendable as part of the objective's goals or is it still just the few initial enemies that count?

That is useful enough in itself. I tire of running the same mission over and over trying to figure out just what counts as "Middle".
Nope, they still tried to kill me as soon as I attacked. The ambush went straight for me, and I didn't see an option to make it part of the goal.
On the upside, you can change the standard critters' descriptions too, but only when you add them to a custom group.

Forgot to add:
The test mode options also include a "complete mission" button. I guess it's easier than dragging missions around in the editor.
And, just noticed, a new "Dev Only" map: The burning lab from that high-level villain arc where you fight Baphomet.

Because someone asked: No, you can't make petless MMs. Most of the sets seem to have the first two powers required, which in the case of MMs is a pet and an attack. However on standard MMs seem to get the pet and two attacks, it's still a wussier MM.
From a cursory sweep, keeping in mind that I'm kinda drunk, here's the maximum amount of "wussing down" you can do for custom minion primaries:
Blast sets must have the first two single target attacks. (On Standard most have those and the first AoE)
Melee Sets are largely unchanged. They must have the first two attacks, and the ranged attack. A few sets (Katana, Dual Blades, which has three attacks on standard) can lose an attack.
Control sets must have the first two powers. Mind loses Dominate.
Must stop posting this stuff while drinking, but....this is my shiny new toy and it just got shinier.

I figured that's what you meant. It would be better if we could actually assign events to particular spawn points, but just seeing where they are on a particular map will help immensely. As it is now, some maps are hard to figure out exactly where the break points are between front, middle and back. It's annoying when you try to set things in a certain area, but the MA switches it because of the way those things fall. It's enough to make you want to rip your hair out.

Devs, if you're watching, please, please change this. One reason I've been looking forward to being able to customize power lists in MA is to have petless Robotics MM minions... in other words, guys with friggin' laser guns.
Make the first two attacks required instead on MMs, please? Since they use the critter damage scale instead of the MM damage scale they should be just as good as minimum power Assault Rifle, only lasers.
