Market causes mapserver disconnect?
The majority of lag or timeout problems while loading the Markets are caused by not enough [available] RAM.

Really? I think I've got 2GB of RAM. Do you think another 1GB would be enough to fix the problem?
Since we didn't know how much memory you had, it was a possibility. 2GB should be enough assuming you don't have a ton of other memory hogging apps active while playing the game.

I should have said available RAM. If you have lots of background applications running, then 2GB of RAM may not be enough. Personally I saw a huge improvement by going from 2GB to 3GB. By huge I mean my previous 15 sec wait for the Blue-side Market to load was cut to 3 sec.
Since you technically should have enough RAM, post a HijackThis report. Link in my signature.

Okay, I have a dumb question, since I've never used HijackThis before: Generally, before I run CoH I shut down all other apps, plus I shut down my realtime virus protection and put my spyware sweeper in "gamer mode". Then I start up CoH. Should I wait until I've reached this point (i.e., w/ CoH running) to take a "snapshot" of my PC with HijackThis?
Wow, I'm impressed. If you only knew the number of times we've had to tell players to do what you are already doing..
Run HijackThis at the point right before you normally start up CoH. While you're at it, let us see a CohHelper report too.

real-time scanning on or off. all other programs exited and closed, wearing black socks or white, a hat or not, sitting or standing I'm still getting problems like this. Actually, it was this. It's now evolved into a state where the game confuses me clicking an auction house employee with me telling it to crash to desktop and ask me to verify files when I try to log back in...an amusing new feature? I have to assume so from the frequency.
I'll admit, at first I was kind a worried about it. Then I started to find it mildly amusing. Then it got really, really frustrating. Now it's funny. Funny to the level of drowing a sack of puppies by tying a big giant stone statue of a dog to the bag before dumping it in a river. Hi...wait for it...larious!

It's a memory leak issue. Honestly it shouldn't be doing this right after you log in as the memory gets cleared after it closes. However if you are quitting to the login screen then going back in, the memory used doesn't get cleared. I would suggest restarting the game once about every 3-4 hours like I do. A lot of the issues I had with random glitches and buggyness tended to taper off if I regularly restarted the game at set intervals. Might work for you until they fix the memory leak issue with the BM/WW
The first time after logging in that I click on a Wentworth or Black Market rep, especially if I've done a mission before going to Market, it takes so long for the auction page to load that I get disconnected from the mapserver and have to log out and back in. Is there anything that can help this?
