Discussion: Don't Miss Out on Official CoH Emails
Just a quick reminder for those who haven't checked to go ahead and make sure you're signed up for the emails if you are interested in receiving them.
And for those who have had difficulty in the past, rest assured that making sure these emails get to you is indeed a priority to us. We've been working on increasing reliability and are very interested in specifics if you continue not to receive future emails.
Thanks

I haven't ever gotten a newsletter from NCsoft, and my account has always had newsletters enabled.

City Info Terminal: http://cit.cohtitan.com
Mids Hero Designer: http://www.cohplanner.com
Same here. Fortunately I made a trial account once and that account gets the newsletters.

Same here. And I've tried different email addresses too, making sure that every address I could find from NCSoft was added to my address book. Still no newsletters.
Bah. An email newsletter went out? I guess my account still isn't working either. I used to get them so I don't know what happened.
As of today, I'm still not getting them either.
Such a shame.
Of course, since we don't always know that a newsletter has been sent out, it's just wild guesses when checking the email as to whether anything should be there or not.
If I can offer a suggestion, would it be possible for the people responsible for sending these out to email a few of the people that are saying here that they aren't getting the emails when they do send out a newsletter. That way those individuals can be scouring their email accounts for anything out of the ordinary. It would also give us a specific date that we could use to track back with our ISP/mail service provider/etc to see if we or PS can find where the problems are occurring.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

There was one largish email sent out on 7/16 at about noon.
The topics included were:
[*]Head Topic: Issue 16, Power Spectrum announcement[*]Going Rogue update[*]Double XP announcement (no clear indication of reactivation weekend)[*]Super Booster III now available announcement[*]City of Heroes "Summer Tour" announcement - SDCC, PAX and HeroCon info[*]Miscellaneous links and help.
No Ritki announcement was sent.
The email was sent from: newsletter@ncsoft.com as the sending address.
It was actually received from: newsletter.newzyouwant.com (rs1.netatlantic.com [69.25.195.202])
Thunderbird had to be informed that no, it was not a scam.

I didn't get this one. Yes, I'm signed up to receive newsletters from NCSoft. Yes, my correct e-mail address is listed in my account. All known NCSoft e-mail addresses are on my white list. The newzyouwant.com address is on my white list, too, because I'd read that the original Going Rogue e-mails came from that address. (But I didn't get those either.) Besides that, I regularly check my e-mail's spam folder before deleting it anyway.
I'm not getting some NCSoft e-mails, and there's no reason on my end for why that's happening.

Same.
But, honesty, I've been fighting this battle for almost 2 years now. Had many a go-around with LH about it.
Clearly, this is not a priority for NCSoft or Paragon Studios. I can't come up with any other reason why they continue to pretend it's our problem, even when it's been proven over and over again that in many cases it is not.
But I guess there's a part of me that hopes that Nivie or Ocho will have a new, responsible attitude about it.
