Removal of the "60-day log-in or lose it" rule?

I thought I had read about the "60-day or lose it rule" in the markets had been revoked for active accounts some place in the forums (maybe it was "fell asleep on the keyboard" kind of thing). I had thought it had been in release notes some where or the /gmotd or something.

I tried to search for it, but I couldn't find it. I had thought it had happened with the new release, but the info wasn't there. Or I'm being blind, which can happen sometimes.

Can anyone set up a link to this info - if it is actually ... real?

Thanks.

It was noted in the Issue 14 patch notes ( here ):

[ QUOTE ]
* Characters (on active accounts) who have inventories, bids or items for sale in the Black Market or in Wentworth's Consignment House will no longer have to log into the game within 60 days to avoid item or influence/infamy expiration.
* In-game Black Market and Wentworth employees will still give their friendly reminder, however if your account is "active", they won't take your "stuff".

Wow... I had no idea. And just the other day I went through logging in each of my 40 bazillion (estimated) alts to make sure nobody was going to lose their market stuff (if they had any).

Ah well, this is good to know. And at least they all got their 5-year badge that way, so not a total wasted effort.

I have lost so much to that rule on various Alts, it's just disgusting. Lost an entire set of bids I had out on my Peacebringer. Poor and Empty slotted, now she just glares at me from the login screen, DARING me to play her.

I'm glad it's gone, I hated having to log into each and every alt every month or so out of fear of losing what was there.

I was a strong proponent for getting rid of this arbitrary, unfun, needless rule. I'm glad it's gone, and I wish it'd be done away with for inactive accounts, too.

There were actually those in the Suggestions forum that defended the rule (of course, if you proposed free pie for everyone in the Suggestions forum the /jrangers would oppose that too, lol; the Suggestions forum truly is stupid). I think those people have been proven wrong at this point. The market server performs the same as it ever has and we all get to keep our stuff.

I have lots of alts and I lost lots and lots of stuff to this dumb, pointless, needless, idiotic rule.

May it rest in pieces.

And yes, I am bitter.

Understandable, it never made any sense whatsoever.

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

I thought it was in place as a resource management tool, so that WW and the BM didn't get overly clogged with stuff?

Im glad it's gone to
