Bad PvP is a very frustrating factor of PvP ATM.
Just to clarify on the tourney thing since I had a few questions.
I meant people would enter as 2v2 teams, not get paired up with a random partner.
each season you enter as a duo and stick with that partner through the tourney until you lose (or win the whole thing).
I'm all for the No TS + Yes DR rules. This would definitely make me start looking for a partner to join in.
As for the mentioned no two stalkers rule, I think that's crap.
At this level of play, we should not be looking to legislate team composition.
I'd love to see two stalkers that think they can take on 2 masterminds (maybe a trapper and a storm), or an pain and a fort. The fact is, with VEATs, and mastermind pets, the 2 stalker team is not even an auto-tie.
The reason for no two stalkers is they CAN force a tie and the only way to compete is a veat team of some kind. Against any other team they only need to get one kill to win. But we can leave that up to a vote.
the same may apply to say a team with two pff-ers. any team without a blaster, ss melee or emp/therm or some form of auto hit -def will have to deal with a tie.
i would ban 2 stalker vs 2 stalker matches though. not that it even makes sense.
also, dr makes stalkers a lot more visible than you may think. those 10 feet become like 20. 20 is a huge radius.
