Advice on inspiration? I've been looking at Ms. Marvel and She Hulk for comics inspiration and Invincibelle and some others for CoH inspiration. That should give you an idea of the type of costume I have in mind

Ideas?

When you see yourself in a crowded room / do your fingers itch, are you pistol-whipped
Will you step in line or release the glitch / can you fall asleep with a panic switch

Going for the tall and leggy look then?

For the first costume, yes. I may do a cyborg/armor later but for now I like the whole Ms Marvel thing.

That's pretty straight forward and easy to do. Bikini/shorts for the bottom. Top with skin. Small mask. Full sleeves. boots.

I think a lot depends on the kind of chick you're making. Someone like She Hulk needs to be wearing a one-piece or sporty-looking gear. If you're making more the Superman-as-a-chick mold, then I'd go with a sleeved onepiece.

Ex:
Bombshell is in the sporty, She-Hulk style.
Maiden Light is in the Powergirl vein.

There's also, of course, the "I'm super-strong so I don't need clothes" style, too, which involves you putting the smallest bikini you can on your character.

I have many such characters. Most of them end up using bits and pieces of the Cimerora and Valkyrie sets, largely because they have a shared background. Here are some of mine:

Thanks! I like Androphonissa and Maiden Light a lot.

What about color palette? Everywhere I look (not just in CoH but in Marvel / DC) all I see are red, gold, blue. I was thinking orange/maroon since it is a bit different. Or going crazy and trying one of Nazghul's Color Palette Contest themes. Not sure yet.

Anyways, thank for the inspiration!

I think it'd depend on the hair color. Orange/White could be fun to work with.

took a different inspiration character wise that most people have for my inv/ss tank, but the look I think is similar to Ms. Danvers, and mine has the usual traits, sexy but still powerful:

Herricane

Red, blue and gold get a lot of play because they're the traditional primary colours and, as such, get applied to heroes often. The derived colours are given to villains. This is why you see people like Joker or Lex Luthor wearing green and purple a lot. (Hulk was given these colours to subvert this trend since he's a hero with an almost villainous curse.)

You can do a lot with a different mixture of colours, but there's some sort biological basis to the three primary colours, as well as a subconscious, psychological one, so you may or may not be successful. I'd try adding in white or black, maybe.

That post was hilariously pedantic.

Feel free to use one of the palettes. I'm sure the gang would love to see what you come up with.

heh thanx Mr. Majesty.

both the red/black and cape came from the original char that was the inspiration, so good or bad it was hers first, so me Herri gets them as well. Now that I think of it though, her 4 others looks are capeless, but still match her personality in some way.

Seriously. >> Most of those palettes are awesome.

As far as the Super Strong Super Babe goes, here's a few more classic 'big name' examples to think about:

Power Girl
Supergirl
Caitlin Fairchild
Ms. Marvel
Big Barda
Sabra
Frenzy

Aaand so on, ad inifitum.

There's a few common elements between female bricks, but I always sort of make it a point to design the costume around the character's personality as much as their powerset, as well. :3

...Plenty of good looks out there.
