Emotes you can respond to.

They're emote that prompt another player into completing the emote. In order to use them a player would have to be right next to the other player.

Rainbow Princess would like to give you a hug. Would you like a Hug?
Yes...No

Yes

Character come together to hug.


Dark Cloud wants to kick you in the groin. Would you like to be kicked in the groin?
Yes... No

No

Dark Cloud wants to kick you in the groin. Would you like to be kicked in the groin?

If there's an option to auto-decline responsive emotes, sure.

If there's no option to auto-decline, this gets a resounding "&*@^ no."

Logically, I'd suggest it coming up as a chat command, IF they ever do it.. so you.. don't respond.. and it counts as a 'no..' If you want to accept, you simply type in the emote or choose it from the annoying drop down menu.

The way Second Life handled the size issue seems to be to elevate the shorter person into the air, which usually results in the emote 'working.' It's .. less than ideal, though. *Grins*


Still hate the visit Winscott mission- make it dropable, have it give actual exp or remove it altogether. PS- Down knows who you are.

Plus, there isn't really any way to make two characters move towards each other. (Outside of voluntarily activating "follow") This is one reason why there are no "grapple" or "carry" powers in this game.

You could make two people do a hug emote and place them so they looked like they were hugging each other, but making the animation take control of them and move them so they were touching wouldn't be supported by the game's engine, I don't think.

It would be amusing, and we have Emotes already that would work. /e slap, /e slapreact for example. It really doesn't work as is...getting slapped and reacting 5 seconds later looks odd. But yeah, hugs, high-fives, noogies, whatever. It would be amusing.

Unfortuantely despite anyone liking the idea or not I think (as Jade_Dragon pointed out) having characters realistically move and touch each other would not be supported by the game engine regardless.

I realize games like Second Life have kind of figured this out, but here if the two people's bodies clipped each other too much it'd just look too silly to be worthwhile. I’ve love to be able to hug people for instance, but not if our bodies looked like a bad transporter accident.
