Cool. I don't konw what it is, but I only started gettign this when I changed out my 8800gt and updated drivers. By the way, I have the 192 core, by BFG Tech, not the core 216.
I got an EVGA GTX 260 a few months ago and I'm still using the 182.06 drivers from the day I updated it. Funny enough, I upgraded from an 8800 GTS. I haven't had any problems with CoH, LOTRO, Fallout 3, Guild Wars, Left 4 Dead, Sins of a Solar Empire. Definitely no video crashes.

177.41 is what I am using right now. No crash from the driver error.

Is this by chance the error 13 or 14 crash?
If so, there's a sticky at the top of this forum for a hotfix for this.
Yeah, it's most likely that this isn't a driver problem at all, it's a Vista problem. A Vista problem which seems to be fixed in Service Pack 2.
(It looks like testing for SP2 is done. Microsoft made it available to special subscribers on Thursday so I think we should all be getting it in the next week or so.)
What are the best drivers to use for the NVidia GTX 260? I only ask because every now and then I get a thing saying display driver has crashed but has recovered. I am using 182.50 as my drivers. I have a Q6600 processor and 1066 ram on a 780i motherboard from evga, if any of that helps.
