okay. unless I'm wrong, "loot" has been in the game since day 1 as droppable enhancements. What the heck are you on about?

[/ QUOTE ]

Anyone can buy a to/do/so....I was talking about io's -random loot. Not to mention rare and ultra rare and some uncommons being nearly impossible to find. (again red side here).

As to the person above talking about pl-ing your character to 50 via ae...I don't care, its your money do what you like. So you skip the rest of the game? I have done the *rest of the game* more times than I can count and am glad there is an option.

I really hate making new characters anymore, pre-travel and pre-stamina (no matter who says you don't need it) isn't very much fun. I am glad I can get a character to 20 at a brisk pace myself.

If they decide to take it away so be it. I can decide where to spend my time for entertainment as well. We should all have choices and not be forced into anything, using the market or certain aspects of the game if we do not wish too. imho

Unlockable costume pieces and items are now available through ticket redemption at Architect Entertainment Vendors. Please Note that Unlocked content from the Architect Entertainment Vendors is solely for use within the Mission Architect system, and NOT for a Player's character's use.

To me, this is the one downside of the whole rewards program.

I thoroughly enjoy the new content. I'm looking forward to writing a few arcs of my own eventually. I think it's great that recipe drops such as one would get for task forces are included, too.

However, the downside is that there's really nothing I want for rewards. I've gotten away from badge collecting and in any event, only did it with one character. I don't crunch numbers and don't bother with set collecting, so the recipes aren't of interest. There's really nothing offered as a reward to appeal to me.

The one thing I would dearly love to see added is the unlockable costume content *for characters*, not for the MA mission characters. I wouldn't care if you charged the earth for them; I'd work until I got it, and it would be *fun* besides. As it is, I enjoy the missions, but the tickets are a waste.

It's not that I can't or won't run task forces to get the costume pieces. We've run innumerable task forces over the past four years. It's simply that I've run the ones with unlockable content many times. I don't want the pieces simply given to me. I'd just like another way to earn them that didn't involve having to do the same thing over and over.

Too, with a new baby in the house, I can't commit to task forces as I once could. I know many other people who have similar time crunches which preclude them from *ever* running task forces and getting this content. We'd all be very grateful for an opportunity like this.

Please add this to the rewards mix. It would be a purely fun addition which would delight a lot of people and would cause no game balance problems whatsoever.

Is there still so many problems with I14 that they need to shut down the servers every morning?

Objective feedback:
The current system of rewards in MA, aside from dev choice arcs, is that all recipe/salvage drops have been replaced by ticket drops. However, unlike normal missions/arcs where you might get some of these from accomplishing objectives other then killing-- excuse me, defeating-- mobs, in MA you don't. Even the end of mission reward is based entirely on the amount of tickets you already received from "defeating" mobs. While I understand that "defeating" mobs is an important part of the game, other aspects of the game are also important. Some of those are very subjective, but others, such as the objectives that devs allow us to put in missions other then "defeat" alls, are not. Moreover, making the CoX experience more vaied is bound to make it more interesting for everyone, and by setting the vast majority of rewards to be based solely on "defeat"s the developers are actually encouraging people to create missions that do not have any other objectives and to not play any other form of content (as it is not rewarding).

I'll grant that there is a potential for abuse. If the devs allow players to acquire tickets from, say, clickign glowies, then it is possible, and even likely, that people will develop "glowie farms" and sit clicking the glowies all day. However, is that any more dull then what we have now with the regular farms? Doesn't this at least encourage those who don't want to farm to make and play more varied missions, while not actually seriously affecting those who do want to farm?

Unless, or until, Cryptic has changed servers from Windows base to a Unix or Linux base, offline server maintenance is a fact of life you'll have live (and play) with.

The MA as a store is not good. Anything that nullifies existing content is not good.

The market is almost an entire issue of content that has all but been rendered obsolete. I see that as a waste of dev time.

I have to disagree, if I had a say I would get rid of the blackmarket/ww in a heartbeat. It was nothing but a headache unless one wanted to play profiteer. Sorry I play games to have fun, if I wanted to flip stuff I would get a job in ws.

My main gripe was it wasn't optional at all like it was supposed to be. Casual players had no way of ever getting enough $$ to buy anything worthwhile, and yet with the way drops work I seem to have such lousy luck, doing even regular tf's would not assure you would ever get your io's filled. (Speaking mainly redside where the population or supply/demand is just plain depressing.)

The MA store is a godsend to players like me and I'm sorry you don't feel that way.

If MA gets "fixed" or taken away as you suggest I might as well leave. I have had enough sleeps, snipes and confuses to last me a lifetime as well as immoblizes and the funny thing is I have 0 characters that can use any of these. Not to mention they sell for less in the market than vendoring them. Rare or not. bah

I really hate that loot *was* added to this game, but its here to stay so we have to make the best of it one way or another.

The only other option is allowing people to choose what drop they want from a TF/arc/whatever. Let people pick a recipe and be done with it. At least with the ma I have a better chance at rolling a lotg, I have 0 and many 50's...ugh

Hardly standard mmo "loot" by any stretch. CoH "loot" at day 1 was for sale at every [censored] store open to every [censored] toon. Folks can take this semantic argument and shove it IMO.

Objective Feedback:

I've noticed that the Auction house has become less populated. And common salvage are at all time high prices. It seems to me as though Architect Tickets have caused the economy of the game to plummet.
Though I do appreciate the ease of buying enhancements with tickets, salvage and IO recipes seem a bit of a stretch as a reward.

My Opinion:

Keep many of the rewards of Architect tickets, getting rid of the ability to purchase invention salvage and IO recipes (the highest percentage enhancements shouldn't be available without hard labor).
This will force everyone to remember that there is an auction house.

I know this is an old post but i had to comment.

First of all before AE's existed players used to farm as they do now with AE's.

Second Miladys_Knight Get a life not trying to be rude but when vets see change they complain about how hard they had it.

Third yes i played back when AE did not exist.

It got old quick an it was not much fun when you could not even afford SO's let alone have the info to buy the salvage.

Least with AE's new players have access to TO / DO / SO an salvage to make IO.

An when not questing or doing a task force you have an option to do a AE to break up the day.

Truly any one who enjoyed what it was like before AE existed needs to do a reality check an realize most players do not have that amount of time doing only missions to level.

An if they removed it would they lose a lot of players yes because players would get burned out on doing quests only.
