Editing Published Story Arcs

AUTAUMNFYRE

Is it possible to Edit a published story arc without republishing. I'm assuming republishing is bad because you lose all your ratings. Am I correct in that assumption?

THANX

I was just curious... Once you edit & republish, how long does it take actually republish it live?

Also, in 'My Local Stories' it is showing me a copy of my arc but with the File Name: auto save. Which upon looking at it, it is the edited version.

It takes a minute sometimes. Patience. It'll say in your Mission Architect channel (which is in the global tab by default) That your mission has been updated.

Also, the edits don't save to your local file. You have to open the published arc again, hit the "Save as Local" button to update the local version.

Thanx EvaD,

It took about 5 mins but its all good. Edited & republished, still holding rating & Arc ID.

I do have another question though... Once your Arc is published, can you remove it from your 'Local Stories' without it affecting your published Arc? Or should I just leave them there?

you can remove it from local stories without it affecting your published arc

I wouldn't recommend it though. If you accidentally unpublish, you won't have a way to restore the story arc if you don't have a local copy.

And for a while things were cold,
They were scared down in their holes
The forest that once was green
Was colored black by those killing machines

It's a good backup idea and the file is tiny (100k or so text file), so the space considerations are nil.

I'd name it something other than "autosave" though.

Dec out.
