Rescue victim customization

I'm sitting here at work thinking of an arc or two and was wondering how much can you customize the person to be rescued. For example can you make them look like a child? Opening night I played with MA just a little but didn't get a chance to dig into things much yet as the in-laws are in town.

You can create a custom critter to be a hostage, so yes, they can look like a child. The only problem would be it cuts into the number of custom mobs you can add for enemies, allies, etc.

Keep in mind that A) you can only make them look like a kid as much as the costume editor already allows for that, and B) if your mission content is a bit too squicky for the T-for-Teen rating for the game has you could get moderated.

When I drop below the legal age I've been using teenagers, mostly, since super powered teens are a staple of comic books. Superpowered preteens and kindergardeners I guess would be okay provided it's something like "A Wacky Crimefighting Adventure!" and not "Muscles Manslaughter's Cannibal Corpse Child Abattoir".

Actually, I am wanting the hero to have to rescue the children from those evil villians, so the kids won't be fighting or anything.

Cool, I probably won't be doing much custom mobs to start with. Figured I would start with something simple and see how that goes. Thanks for the help.

I see how you can make sperate rescue victems and use the normal templates but is there a way to randomize the victum that spawns? like say i make a group called Frightened girl. can it spawn random looking firghtened girls and use the same dialoge and count?

the only way i saw to make um look different is to use sperate ones, But then the ojective counter has seperte 1 girl, not 6.

No, you have to choose and place each hostage for rescue individually, in a separate Rescue Hostage objective.

Are you trying to have 6 different hostages rescued in a mission show up in the navbar? All you have to do is place the same Navigation Text in the various plural and single sections of the objectives. If you place "Hostages to Rescue" in the plural Navigation Text part of all the Hostage Objectives, and "Save the last hostage" in the Single part of the Navigation Text, the navbar will combine them and read "6 Hostages to Rescue" counting down as they are rescued.

Nah, I'd swear it was on Spike.
