MA rating griefing
Yeah, I am sad to say I was playing on a pug last night and some ppl were talking about having heard some ppl say they were going to do this as soon as I14 hit.
The good news is these people will be the first to get hit with the permaban stick and that will likely stop the first sneak attack planned.
Also unpublish and republish your arc now since you were a victim of this April surprise.

Most of us expected at least some ratings griefing to occur. I'm just impressed with how fast it's happened. I had a mission 1 starred less than 2 minutes after I published it, far too quickly for anyone to have actually played it.

If what you have created is truly good content it will rise up above and through all of this...
ya I don't believe it either.
unpub then repub, also report it and maybe they can track down the person who griefed. If they are spam griefing maybe they'll get penalized.
Going to the other side it could be that they did not like the mish when they went in it. The only issue i have is you have not told us the id number or any thing so i can't judge. By saying this i can tell you for a fact that i once was in a mish i dropped and gave it a one star right away because it was that bad, it was only archvil. So if your mission is like this it makes perfect sense and you should probably get that amount of stars. If not well then it probably some griefing. Just saying i might change my opinion if i get ID to test it out.
Yes, let's be clear.
If I enter an arc and the very first mission has an AV in my face as I'm still loading... I'm hospitaling out, exiting the arc, and one-starring it.
Of course you'll probably get a tell from the MA system along the lines of "OMGWTBBQ U PUT AV IN MAH FACE!!" so at the very least you know what got the one-star.
Do a search on all one-starred arcs. If they're recently pubbed and only have one or two plays, then there may be a one-star bandit about.
"City of Heroes. April 27, 2004 - August 31, 2012. Obliterated not with a weapon of mass destruction, not by an all-powerful supervillain... but by a cold-hearted and cowardly corporate suck-up."
Based on what im seeing there is a mix of bandits and others that one star people for preference issues.

the bandits will be datamined and banned. Apparently the Devs already have a 'flag' in place to catch someone who ONLY gives out one-star ratings.

you do realize its fairly easy to protect yourself from getting caught by just keeping your average, well average. high rating friends or bad arcs.
giving players power over other players has NEVER ended well in any game ever.
Boycott Ncsoft if they close down Coh.

I can't think of one time in the past twenty two years of gaming where it has.

Creating worthwhile, fun content is harder than it looks. A lot of stuff is getting one-starred because it's simply not very good.
I beg to differ. 2 or 3 stars I'd agree, but there are too many confessed preference, difficulty and theme one star bandits going around to mark that up to bad arcs.

Yeah, such as people who say they'll one-star any arc which contains even a single long map. I'd prefer that they simply not play an arc which contains an element they don't like, rather than one-star it, but I really don't have a say over how they rate.
I'm afraid that we will simply have to learn to live it, and accept that some good missions will be one-starred arbitrarily, just as some bad arcs will get five-starred by the author's buddies.

Preference... difficulty... theme... all sound like good things to consider for a subjective rating.
Acceptance sure no choice. Acceptance as good, ok or not being able to be improved, nah, I'll still speakout and support the better soultions offered up during open.

Your post indicates you missed the point, but the intellect you have shown previously indicates that you didn't. No worries mate do "your" thing.
