Tough or Ldrshp for fire/pd corr?
Don't take a PD into PvP. If you must, get phase.
Under DR, tough would only minimally add to your res. So leadership.
However, you will probably need the miracle and/or numina uniques for endurance (beyond stamina). Unless you miserly control your toggles. For example, for res or regen opponents you would keep tactics off.

But not in arena where you can revert back to old pvp settings. I know I said RV as well, but I mainly arena when I decide to pvp at all. But good point regardless. Thanks for the input. And yes, I miserly control my toggels as I hate going even to half my endurance useage. Ah well, I guess if I do decide to hit RV up consistantly, Ldrshp is the route I must go. Or phase like was also suggested.

Buffers in general aren't good in PvP anymore. You have to be really good to make much of a difference at all. Because chances are, if you're on a full team, it will consist of about 2 brutes, 3 widows, 2 stalkers....and you. Guess who the ENTIRE opposing faction will go after first...EVERY single time. That's right, you. It makes playing a buffer really pointless, which is why most people just bring their own offense toon, and nobody plays buffers.
Only thing they're good for these days is on a 2nd account, to buff up your main offense toon
Oh and, if you do decide to play a buffer, you absolutely need phase shift. Without it, there isn't even a point in trying.

I kinda feel special. I take my Sonic/Pain to the Zones and stomp holes in people. Only thing that gives me real trouble in a 1v1 zone situation is heavy -rech or high defense builds.
I come front loaded with enough spike damage to get into Scourge zone on anything with medium to low hp before I even trow my Shark. If things get bad I have Hibernate or Phase
It is IO'd pretty heavy though.
Edit: I also only have Assault from leadership for more damage. I have a +perc IO in WoP since WoP gives me +tohit and I have the Kismet +tohit and I have Aim, hitting most targets isnt a problem.
Well then. Looks like I must rework mah build. Thanks for the input.

We're talking about different things. I mean a pure buffer build that's meant to simply buff/healzor. You're talking about an offensive build that happens to be a pain dom. On my offense dual build sonic/therm, I can get kills too. But when I play the toon as it's actually supposed to be played, as a buffer, it's a lot different.
When I meant you have to be really good to make a difference, I meant you have to be a really good buffer and evader. Because it's really hard to keep a full team buffed when...
1. You're the single buffer on the team.
and
2. The whole zone goes only after you, ignoring the rest of your team.
Yep, as the only villain side squishie [corr] without pff (doms), hide (stalkers), hp (brutes), your the primary target, always.
Hopefully, that brute on the team took taunt.

doesn't tough now protect against all damage types across the board in pvp now? including psi damage? I might be wrong but thats what i was thinking happened when i still cared.
yes it does, but between free res, and WoP (no not the italian version) you end up close enough where tough isn't doing much. Same goes for the epic res shields.
In arena with DR off, then sure stack em up to 75% heh.
I agree there isnt much need for a pure healer/buffer build at all with this type of PvP.
My build has the team stuff though. Everything but Share Pain and the Rez. I have 3 powers that dont effect me what-so-ever with the mez protection/+perc, the heal other and Pain Bringer. I did build it to be offensive but not with PvP in mind until the patron came and I went with Mako for Hibernate and to Trow Sharks.

Probably the best advise your gonna get kid.
I guess I should have mentioned that with the proposed pvp build that I was goin after there would be largely "me" powers. It would also dbl as my solo build (2nd build) when I just don't wanna team. I'm sure that when I go zone pvp with this build, it will confuse/anger some people, if not all. But if I wanted to appease them atm, I would go in there with my team build. Which has all the trimmins minus share pain (I hate that power passionatly). Sorry for the lack of info there.
On a side note, the Dodgers signed manny finally!!!

although i share the sentiment about share pain it is the very most usefull heal in the game as far as pvp is concerned.(wait i don't do villains this is the absorb pain clone correct?) the heal other clone is ok but if i were to only take one it would be absorb pain. heal suppression means you can give 1000+ hit points on the first and 500+ immediately after if needed.
My fighting emp took only fort, healing aura, absorb pain, and adrenaline boost from the empathy side. I find it very pleasing to see a team mate down to a sliver of health brought back to full health all at once. Especially if he is wrecking the other team while it happens.
At the moment, I was considering takeing tough and stacking it with WOP and GW'S shield for all around +res with S/L in the high 60% +res range. And it's not too hard to perma WOP with sets. If I went the Ldrshp route, I would be taking assault and tactics for the obvious reasons. Tough=1 toggle. Ldrshp=2 toggles. I am very +res/end conscious (I try at least to be.) Thinking of arena and RV mostly. So what do you think would be the better route?
