It was very neat to see the inside of the base DoDH base, it obviously had a great deal of thought and effort put into its creation.
As for the contest itself, I just thought it might be fun to join, on a whim. In the innumerable number of contests I've participated in during the five years I've been playing, I've still not yet placed! Runner-up is the closest I've come so far, but even that was a nice acknowledgment!
The competition was very good and the judgments for the winners were well-deserved. There were really great costumes all around.
