Haruhi: A girl with psychosomatic powers she's unaware of that believes she's an anime character.
You trying to mock me? Heh.
I have a MM named Annie LeVey. I wanted to make a demon-type character and, after exhausting all name options, I came up with a spoof of Anton LeVey. Right now she's only a lvl 8 and has two zombies named Nibbles and Nom Nom.

...no, quite serious actually
I'm an altaholic - too many alts already.
However, I wouldn't mind reinventing my main, Officer Reno, into more of a scrapper type - or possibly even some other form of blaster. Currently, Reno is a lvl 50 sonic/energy/elec blaster that can teleport and fly. Really not what I intended to begin with, but heh - I got him to 50!
Reno is my little spin on cop-turned-superhero, only he had been -inflicted- with nanomachines by a crazed maniac he was trying to bust. Said crazed maniac is now one of my many alts as well.
So - Officer Reno redux: possible1 = Energy/elec blaster, no epics. Pools = Fitness/Flight/Teleport
possible2 = some form of scrapper - I haven't decided yet.
Fal Ozade
fire blaster
this is a character i created for the story i'm creating (might be a comic soon)
his life changed after being sent away to a different place and time by the Elder of Time of his home world, Maa-De. His allegiance was originally the Dea-de...or baddies if you will.
During a final battle taking place throughout the entire planet of Maa-De, the planet itself shook and became unstable...thus exploding and that was the end of it for most inhabitants. The Elder of Time, or if you want to get technical with names...the Od-Su-De of time, for whatever reason, sent a few of the inhabitants to a different time and setting. in Fal Ozade's case, that place and time was Paragon City, present day. He now vows to fight for the good and atone for his past mistakes. Fal is also on a journey to find the reason he was sent away.
i tried including a picture...but for some reason it's not showing up
Ordinary users aren't allowed to attach pictures. Put the picture in a publically accessible place (photobucket.com is popular) and use the URL tag to link to it.
ah, ok. and they're already on photobucket. i'm not one of those who has no idea about photobucket. was just wondering why they wouldn't work.
A phoenix who, returning from the dead at the end of its thousand-year life cycle, managed to screw up (nobody's perfect!) and get itself rebirthed inside a normal girl who's been envious of supers her whole life. They merged and she gained partial access to its powers - which she's only too happy to apply liberally, never mind where they came from or the angry voice she occasionally hears in her head...
Now I just have to find a way to portray a suffering, desperate legendary creature trapped inside a hormonal, trigger-happy teenager and make it funny.
A fairly simple one created from a fun observation that there is one word that is both a badge title and an origin title (and now also a VG name): Ghoulish. She is an undead ghoul with the power of wind and storm able to call upon her fellow fallen bretheren for aid in her fiendish deeds. AKA a Necro/Storm Mastermind.
I'm drawing a little bit of a blank on minion names though, I've currently got Zombish, Deadish, Bone, and the grave knight Skeletish. I wouldn't mind going in an altogether different direction though.
It's a rather complex concept, and is going to turn out to be a HORRIBLY long post, but...
My only 50 hero, Oathbound, is actually an Illusion made by an as yet unnamed/unmade Illusion/Emp controller, he just isn't aware of it. (I'll probably never make the controller, since I don't care for Empathy, and I already have a high level Illusionist.) (We'll call him Bob since I don't have a name for him.)
While normally Illusions aren't sentient, Oathbound possesses the consciousness (or partial consciousness at least) of a young man who "Bob" accidentally killed when his powers first manifest themselves.
"Bob" was so guilt ridden and ashamed of what he had caused that as the young man lay dying he absorbed a part of him (the young man) and crafted a new "body" in which the man could live out his life. (This essentially traps Oathbound in the illusion of his own existence.)
Given that Oathbound is a sort of creation of "Bob's" they have to stay within relatively close proximity to each other. Over time they became inseparable (as Friends, partners in crime (fighting) etc. as opposed to just geographical distance), and while it was originally supposed to be a temporary situation, it got to the point where "Bob" could not bring himself to let Oathbound die (as he would have had he still been living a normal life).
So they've been, more or less, always together for the last oh.... 1500years.
*There's more to it, Including a lot of twists and turns, Including "Bob's" eventual death, Oathbound's survival beyond Bob's death, and his decent into insanity/conversion to a Mind/Psi Dominator, then his eventual redemption as the Peacebringer, Hadi. (Which come to find out was his name when he was alive, Bob never knew his name, so could never grant his illusion knowledge of it.)
The story also crosses paths with a Broadword/WP scrapper I haven't made yet (or WP/BS tanker if they ever get it) who is Oath's "Daughter" (she's actually his many many many times great granddaughter); and my Night Widow who is sent to investigate, as evil Oathbound is siphoning off the psychic powers of others (including some of the Fortunatas) to sustain himself(Yay Drain Psyche!) ... Long and far more complicated than it ever needed to be.
This really isn't a concept since I'm already playing this toon - but I'm posting it here anyways, because of the large range of characters one could put into the City of Heroes:
(I'm also running this character in an RP thread right now, so I'm not revealing his name JUST yet.)
Basically, this man is a swordsman. Only thing is, he's not just ANY swordsman. Nor is he entirely a man - actually, he is male, just not human - he's from a planet I call "Kalderi", appears to be human except for the pointed ears on his head (AND no, that's no Star Trek reference to Vulcans. I just couldn't quite find something in the character creator and tailor to make him look different without changing his whole appearance - when in doubt, go with pointy ears!)
This character is "phase-locked" into the very time/space continuum - meaning(my definition anyway), his entire essence can be split, multiplied, nullified, and just down right scattered across the universe. Throughout it's many dimensions. There's almost always more than one of him running around in a given dimension of time/space, and occassionally, more than one of him pops up in the same timeline in the same dimension. His "base" self is the one currently running around in that RP thread I mentioned earlier(which is also the version of him I run on Pinnacle.) His "replicas" pass through various dimensions and timestreams ALL the time. The thing is - the base version of this character FEELS every instance of himself, his brain recording every second of every replica's actions, thoughts, and memories. He refers to this as his "curse" (he's not really cursed - it all boils down to his past and what happened way back when.)
On his home planet, many, many eons ago, his world was engulfed in war against a tyrannical, powerful sorceror-type beast. This man just so happened to be the greatest warrior and swordsman throughout all of Kalderi history (still is to this day!) and he also happened to have a good heart (though some of the soldiers would argue otherwise - but heh. You get the idea.) The swordsman led the forces of light against the beast's forces of darkness - the two were locked in battle for well over a century. The endgame brought about the beast's fortunate demise (I should really make a villain based on this guy!), but would leave the swordsman in the state he is today. Roleplaying this guy is going to be ... interesting, and very challenging. Also - doesn't matter where he's at - he can pick up ANYTHING, and turn it into a weapon (yes, he'd be great with a lightsaber.) Just something about swords with this guy.
Yes, I've reinvented Officer Reno into a sonic/elec blaster, this time I'm going to try to run without any epic pools. And no fitness pool. Same basic principle, just different powers (gads I've got to stop doing that!)
Which leads into my next post.
I've also recently scattered a "set" of toons across the servers -
Thorn Sister (Plant Control/Thorny Assault Science Dominator) - You know how these science origins go - some sort of experiment gone horribly wrong. Sometimes, a person is put through specifically designed scientific procedures to be changed. Thorn Sister was made by design, not by accident.
Sinister Sister (Martial Arts/Ninjitsu Natural Stalker) - She's just a natural bad-@ ss. And she works for herself.
Feral Sister (Claws/Regen Mutant Stalker) - Upon further study of her DNA, Feral Sister is very distantly related to sabretooth tigers. She was also raised in the wild (wolves, large breed cats such as tigers, lions, panthers, cheetahs...)
Cruel Sister (Necromancy/Dark Miasma Magic MM) - A demoness unleashed on the Isles. Summons the souls of the damned to do her bidding.
Furious Sister (Electrical Blast/Storm Summoning Mutation Corruptor) - Her powers began to manifest when she was 18, during massive storms - hurricanes and electrical storms defined her powers.
War Sister (War Mace/Invulnerability Tech Brute) - A native of the Rogue Isles, she picked up a mace one day to beat down several gang members that wanted her purse. The gang forgot to research the fact that she had been augmented with technology that makes her invulnerable to various forms of pain.
Scourge Sister (Battle Axe/Dark Armor Science Brute) - As to appearance, think Catherine Willows from CSI:, only she carries a Battle Axe, wraps herself in dark energies for protection, and wears skimpy outfits all the time (kinda like Willows before she became a CSI!) Need to actually think up some storylines for this one...
Scorch Sister (Fire Blast/Thermal Radiation Magic Corruptor) - Former member of the Circle of Thorns - she's always been fascinated with fire. Her pyromaniacy developed at a very young age. Her fiery rage couldn't be contained when she was a member of the CoT, so she quit, burning all those to ash that tried to kill her to keep her quiet.
Commando Sister (Merc/Traps Natural MM) - A former officer in the armed services, Commando Sister is a natual leader, hence the Mastermind AT. She'd be a /Device if the MMAT had that secondary.
Naughty Sister (Robotics/Poison Tech MM) - Yep - she's a genius. She demonstrates this by building her minions out of scrap, and utilizing her knowledge of chemistry to make various poisons with which to aid her allies, and destroy her foes.
Psychotic Sister (Mind Control/Electric Assault Mutation Dominator) - Diagnosed with various mental defects when she was born. Grew up in an asylum. Developed her powers around the age of 6. Used those powers to dominate the minds of the staff of the first asylum she was in, transferred several times after that. Finally escaped and made her way to the Isles.
I thought it'd be nice to have a centralized post for concepts of your characters, the nitty gritty that sounds far too generalized or scrambled to place in your well-edited bios. What drives you? Motivated you to make the character? Limitations you place on yourself? Share them.
I'll go first.
I have as of yet unnamed character. I want him to be a Natural MA Scrapper without Asian influence. I want him to be obsessive and more or less intolerant. My immediate thoughts were Batman.
He'd be running around Virtue right now if it weren't for every costume I make him up in, looks ridiculous or too close to Mr. Wayne, and I scrap him.
Nightcurse - A Blade/Hellboy analogue. This particular character was an excuse to use some costume pieces I never considered on my more moral characters. Mohawks, leather, chains.
Van Belmont - His name is a combination of Van Helsing, and the Belmont clan from Castlevania. I wanted a cankerous old archer (my LIFE for a X-bow, please) in a world of heroes that I saw primarily youth.
What are some of yours?
