I thought it'd be nice to have a centralized post for concepts of your characters, the nitty gritty that sounds far too generalized or scrambled to place in your well-edited bios. What drives you? Motivated you to make the character? Limitations you place on yourself? Share them.
I'll go first.
I have as of yet unnamed character. I want him to be a Natural MA Scrapper without Asian influence. I want him to be obsessive and more or less intolerant. My immediate thoughts were Batman.
He'd be running around Virtue right now if it weren't for every costume I make him up in, looks ridiculous or too close to Mr. Wayne, and I scrap him.
Nightcurse - A Blade/Hellboy analogue. This particular character was an excuse to use some costume pieces I never considered on my more moral characters. Mohawks, leather, chains.
Van Belmont - His name is a combination of Van Helsing, and the Belmont clan from Castlevania. I wanted a cankerous old archer (my LIFE for a X-bow, please) in a world of heroes that I saw primarily youth.
What are some of yours? -
Where's that Psi/MM guide? My Search-Fu is weak.

Thanks, guys. Maybe I'm having trouble thinking outside the box, because all the claw customizations look pretty similiar with the exception of Flat Blade.
As with all my characters, his first costume is kind've "homemade". Having a helluva time doing that part, too. Heh. -
Well, to be honest, I'd like to make my main a mutant. X-Men is probably my favorite book.
It's just weird. Whenever I go to design a claws mutant, he always ends up looking like Wolverine.
...
This is somewhat weird, but hear me out. I think the best characters come from those that are a little more three dimensional than their powerset/name. Wolverine, while not my favorite character, is strange to me. I only mention him because we're discussing claws.
If I were to hear the name "Wolverine", I wouldn't think yellow/blue uniform and claws (his old outfit, of course). And when I think of a mutant with claws based on an animal, I certainly don't think Wolverines are the most dangerous.
But altogether, it's great. "Cyclops" isn't a greek-themed hero, for another example. -
I'm new, and not quite sure if this is the correct forum for this.
I'm having a hard time explaining claws for a potential Claw/WP character of mine. Besides being a cyborg, or some animal-based hero, I can think of nothing.
Can anybody throw me a bone?
