Peanut Chews perhaps? (one of my favorites - well to be honest, just about anything with nuts in it is one of my favorites. )

Any insider insight on how/why Peeps are immune to the effects of sulfuric acid?

It makes you wonder if perhaps stomach acid is ineffective as well...

What a great question!

She said it's the cow stomach. They throw a cow stomach in there to make the peeps flexible and immune to acidic damage. Why do you think they use unpronounceable preservatives? Which is why when the peep falls in the grass, grass always sticks to them.

I'm thinking that they are not made out of marshmallow at all...

I believe that NASA used Peeps to test an early version of the frit they currently use on the Space Shuttle's ceramic tiles...
