Happy Summer Solstice!
(Northern Hemisphere)

Solstice comes from the Latin (sol, sun; sistit, stands).
For several days before and after each solstice, the sun appears to stand still in the sky—that is, its noontime elevation does not seem to change.

Part One: Nicknames of US Cities

Just something I was curious about.

This list covers states A to I (and is a very, very partial list, so do not be surprised if your city did not make the cut)

I tended not to list nicknames such as: "The Lima Bean Capital of the World"

Sorry I couldn't hear you, I was too busy bein SPLATTERED ON!!!

Seriously though, Evil Dead the musical is the best show you wont ever git ta see. Its unbelievably campy an' terrible. But if'n yer the type who will go see things like "EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL" then you will laff yer nuts back inside yer body.

The splatterzone isn't really worth it until the second act, then by pie it pays off.

It was a mess of local people doin the performence I saw (the real thing is in canada, which means Tundy you have no excuse) but they acted well, sang decent an' pulled out a ton of laffs.

Now I just need ta find a soundtrack. They wasn't sellin one at the show

I am glad you enjoyed Evil Dead - I wanted to see that when it was in NY, but did not have the opportunity.

For my part, I really enjoyed Young Frankenstein - many of same gags as the movie, with some new jokes & music added in.

Musical Highlights:

Puttin' on the Ritz
He Vas My Boyfriend
Roll in ze hay

Marty Feldman would have been happy with Christopher Fitzgerald's turn as Igor - he was definitely channeling Marty.

A fun play.
