I think those are really boring. Very plain basic robots that show very little creativity.
I can see them fine. Sometimes the wrong version of the links are chosen from the ones they give you, and it causes issues viewing them.

No, I was more thinking of some of the Samurai or Anime-looking stuff you get later on. What level? Some of the Vanguard pieces you can buy at RWZ look nice, and you can get just the pieces you want. Also, the stealth set has some good possibilities. Lemme grab a screenie of the Vanguard and Stealth "armored" Dark Ether...

Techbot's always a nice look too. More I7ish, but it has always been a good choice for my robotics MM.

I wouldn't recommend going with black on black - try using a dark blue with accents on one of the colors on the right side in the lower half, for example, or one of the greys, etc. You'll be able to pick out more detail and it'll look better.

There just aren't any legs in the game that look good with the Robotic Claw feet. At least, not if what you're trying for is a robot. Like the Robotic Claw gloves, they're great if what you want is a cyborg.
Since you want a very robotic look and you seem to be very wedded to black and gray, try this: Full Helmets, Retro Tech head, Sat Comm in Detail 1, Detail 2 and 3 blank. Tight body, Techbot texture, Techbot color scheme. Large Robotic gloves, Tech skin. Sharp Smooth shoulders. Jewel chest detail. No belt. Tight legs, Techbot skin, Techbot color pattern. Large boots, Techbot skin, Techbot color pattern. With color set to copy over the whole thing, set color 1 to top row, #4 (medium-dark gray) and color 2 to black. Then go in and change the jewel color on the chest detail to something appropriate to your powers.
I think the totally blank, black face of the Retro Tech head screams "robot;" most of the other Full Helmets look to me like there's clearly a person inside. If you want something more face-like, check some of the Detail 2 options, especially Bunker Shield (or something like that, very robotic eye piece, straight line across). Cycloptix is good, too. Change the color of the eye slot to match the color of the chest detail's jewel.

I'm not too crazy about the mixing of patterns on that one. I think you need to try a leg pattern that's more complementary to the chest.
In my sig I have various android, robot and cyborg characters, just to give you a few more looks and color combos. The ones with asterisks are similar to yours.

the thing is, they seem kinda old-style, even 2000, which was made to look spiffy and cool, the pinnacle of Dr. Techno's artistic ability (*cough* gold paint), seems out-dated
I need something new....something spiffy, any ideas?
Or if you actually believe those are awesome androids, let me know, that always makes me happy
