Guides in HTML format.
Question:
Ex I know some of us have used links to externally hosted graphs etc for illustration purposes. Could a revamped html guide include inline images ?

Within reason, one thing about the board is keeping the load down so image size needs to be considered.
...You almost make me want to write a guide now.
Hmm...what do I know that I could write a guide on?
Thanks.
I'll get to work updating my DRR this weekend. I'll make sure embedded images are small .

I hope you have the time to proofread the HTML code you'll be receiving, Ex, or I predict a Rickroll epidemic.
"Click here to show chart? OK >click< Hey that's a nice chart..."

It'll just get treated like any other Rick Roll, I'd suspect... good bye guide!
There are probably worse things to be on the look out for in html guides.

I suppose we will take action on any offenders. This ultimately is part of a larger picture, one that involves the official web site.

I strongly recommend no linking and no embedded images that NCSoft isn't willing to host themselves to prevent them from ever being "substituted" down the road.
Sure, there's the EULA, but imagine a disgruntled departing player who is hosting images which are part of a guide.
I wouldn't provide them with the temptation...
Anything on the official site will be content protected.

So it is no secret that those of us here behind the curtain have access to a few tools that our general player base does not.
One of them being the use of HTML as a format for the forums.
If any of you would like your guide posted in HTML format please forward me the tag information and link to your OP of your guide and I would be happy to post up the HTML version.
You can do this via PM or through my email at exlibris@ncsoft.com
Our guide section is one of the most popular areas of our official forums so anything we can do to keep them up and running smoothly we are glad to help.
Any questions just let me know.
Regards,
Ex
