"Hey! Stop ignoring me!" came an irritated shout from the hole in the wall moments before ARC came leaping back into the room, flames still spewing from his feet.

"There's a reason we're called jump bots, you know," said the android as it dashed forward and decapitated two lower ranking Bane Spiders before they could blink. "And it's not cause we kick [censored] at basketball."

Flicking a middle finger at the hologram of Black Scorpion and then giving it the boot for good measure, ARC channeled all of its energy and that of anything around it into its fists. Every color in the room aside from the brilliant neon blue of ARC's fists seemed to become pale and washed out as the charging finished and the jump bot looked down at Cry.

"Rock a good-bye, baby," ARC said as he brought both fists down on the child, the pent up power within them capable of reducing a fare sized apartment building to rubble.

"Gonnafeelthisinthemorning," ARC said to himself miliseconds before contact.

"Witty Remark: File Directory, Internet Slang: lol n00b" W0-07, Jake's modified Assault Bot, stated as it slid inbetween Lt. Cry and ARC. Jake had been hard at work these past twenty years perfecting his robots, and, in addition to having his signature forcefield skin-tight, so to speak, around his minions at all times, they were also built with this world's equivalent of Adamantium. In addition, powerful electro magnets in the robot's feet would ensure it was safely on the ground when it needed to be.

In short, this thing wasn't going anywhere, and any energy that wasn't deflected back at ARC via the forcefield would be shortly canceled out by the metal's strength.

ARC would then find no less than five other heavily modified robots surrounding him, all six of them feeling it fit to charge their respective blasters in addition to aiming them at a certain Jump Bot.

"Human expression: Arrogant sneer." W0-07 cockily gloated as it fired it's plasma at amazing speed toward ARC, the other minions following suit in no less than a 0.0047 of a second.

-----

The Sky Raider charging Jake would find himself with a rather unpleasant feeling in his gut as the equivalent of three elephants' worth of force made its way into his torso, most likely crushing his chest as it blew him back about half a mile.

"So who's next? Come on, don't be shy."

-----

"Yeah, I'm told that a lot." Tamesis stated as he yet again teleported, this time direction behind the Porter. He had timed his to coincide with the moment the machine guns began to fire, thereby riddling the human shield with bullets.

"Amazing what teleportation can do." He threw the body down and teleported to either side of the vehicle, ripping off the guns one at a time. "I'd suggest some back-up, personally, because in about a half-a-minute, your flying easy-chair is gonna be grounded."

And indeed, he made no empty threats. Already he was behind the vehicle, randomly ripping out components that he deemed important.

[ QUOTE ]
The door closed and Cry sent a mental image to Tamesis. *A hero placed a flamethrower into the box full of amunition, there were four of them in total each with a badge. The image zooms in on one of the badges "Point Blank"

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, I'll get right on that. He thought sarcastically, continuing to rip out wiring and what seemed to be a fuel tank. Right after I'm done saving your [censored]. Damn baby.

(( OOPS! Made a mistake The female really isn’t Jenny its Katie or Katelyn When Emmy responded. Oh well all will become clear soon enough))

The Female figure floated down towards the now still machine, the sounds of the crash and the subsequent collapse of the building still echoing off the walls in the zone.

“Well at least it stopped to bad it took the building with it, there aren’t that many building standing anymore. Then again Boomtown never had a lot standing even when heroes roamed the streets busting bad guys without having to look over their shoulders, you know Emmy I miss those days”

“As do I Katie, however all we can do now is move forward and hope that someday that day will return again within our lifetime”

“Well we are almost there and I don’t see anything that looks like an access hatch yet and the front of it, I think that is the front of it might have had one but I don’t think we can get through all that rubble on top of it. Let’s look around a bit maybe we can see a way to get in and see if anyone inside is hurt.”

“Careful Katie Times have changed quite a bit you don’t know if someone from the fortress is in there that could mean trouble for us”

“Yeah you’re right I should be a little more careful about what we do though it’s the right thing to do, to see if anyone is hurt and in need of help since I am fairly sure that they aren’t from around here”

The Female circled around the newly formed pile of rubble to what would have been the rear of the vehicle. Deep gash’s the size of tree trunks could be seen in the armor here and there it looked as if one of them had even punched through the thick armor plating. Finding no doors she searched for a gash that was possibly wide enough to get through., seeing none that she was satisfied with she found the largest one that had punched through the armor and floated there for a minute.

“What do you make of this Emmy, you think we might be able to make it wider?”

“well not sure that is very thick plating?”

“hmmm we might be able to”

The female figure floated in the air there for a few seconds studying the gash. Then without warning her eyes began to brighten as a bluish white light began to surround her body. Within a second her entire body was covered with a bluish white light and all that could be seen was a bluish white smoking ball of energy. The light reached an intensity that would blind a normal person as a thunderous blast erupted. The light began to fade after the blast leaving behind a semi translucent grey armored creature. Small wisps of bluish energy could be seen rising from the carapace of the creature as if it was on fire. The creature dropped to the ground with a load thud as its feet sunk into the pavement an inch.. The creature grabbed onto the sides of the gash with surprising delicacy and began to pull.

Metal screamed in protest as the white dwarf began to push on the either side of the gash attempting to widen it even more metal screamed in protest as the dwarf kept constant pressure on it Slowly but surely the broken armor began to peel away. After the opening had grown half as much as before the dwarf stepped back and peered into the still inky blackness.

“You think anyone is home Emmy?”

“Not sure Katie, though after what we have just done I am sure that if anyone was in there they would have been alerted to our presence and are either ready to A try and defend themselves from us since we do look like a giant bug or B they haven’t heard us knocking at the door yet”

“Oh! Yeah we probably shouldn’t go in like that, they might think we are tying to hurt them instead of help them”

The white dwarf stepped back from the opening a couple of steps as the wisps of energy began to brighten and then fade as the form of the dwarf began to ripple and fade leaving the same caped female that had been there before. Her eyes seemed to give off the same bluish white light as before. As she walked into the inky blackness opening.

“Well let’s see who is home maybe they can use our help”
(( as you can tell Katie and Emmy are two parts that MAke up the peacebring Nova nine. she is about 5'9" white hair with a tint of blue and constantly wearing sunglasses to try and hide her pale blue almost white eyes from the joining process ))

OOC: Your guys were in the room? Oops. Oh well.

BIC: "Wow, what a rip off of HK-47 you are," remarked ARC as he smoothly ducked the plasma blast and then rolled to the side, his superspeed letting him stay one step ahead. "And crossfire, [censored]."

Now, ARC wasn't worried much about the assault bot at the moment. While it was annoying that it had blocked his attack and hadn't exploded yet, the jump bot knew it was just a matter of time before the residual charge built up inside the machine and burnt it out from the inside. You see, ARC had built up such an incredible amount of energy that it was almost physically impossible to get harmlessly dispose all of it. In fact, ARC's current power output was down 25% because of the damage he had suffered from channeling that much power. The assault bot's problem, however, would be a bit more subtle.

Through ways that the scientists who made ARC didn't really understand themselves, the smallest bit of energy that got into the system of a living or mechanical target from his attack would create something of an echo of itself in the system as it raced back and forth through various pathways. This echo would in turn strengthen the original charge, making it produce a more powerful echo which made the charge stronger and so on and so forth. It also seemed impossible to ground. The only way to not die from this attack was to, effectively, not get hit.

And the assault bot had certainly been hit.

So that little bit of alien electric charge was circulating through the machine's body, gradually building up power and beginning to overload systems one by one. Robots usually started acting really jerky near the end and could hardly percieve their environment as sensors shut down or burnt out from overload.

But ARC couldn't really fight any more at his level of power and decided to turn tail and run like hell.

...in a moment.

((to clear up the confusion- Scarlet Eye is nominally affiliated with Arachnos, but he's a Chaos Elemental- he'll do whatever causes the most mayhem and destruction, not necessarily what will further Arachnos' goals. And, as a powerful psychic himself, he was naturally drawn to the massive outburst of psionic power that Cry made when facing down the Sky Raiders))

Scarlet Eye chuckled, a disturbing sound, as the infant petulantly ignored him. While he couldn't penetrate Cry's mental defenses, he suspected that he made the baby nervous- he lacked the sheer bludgeoning psionic power of the new Ghost Widow, but... well, he'd been doing this a long time. And he'd been able to pick up on the infant's emotional state, which was more than most could do.

He probed the remaining minds, briefly disappointed that Black Scorpion's neural scrambler shield remained intact... the hulking cyborg had always annoyed him, but he'd never been able to penetrate the giant's technological defenses. Which was probably a major portion of the reason Black Scorpion annoyed him.

He continued to probe, seeking weaker minds. 'Friend' or foe, it mattered little to him. Madness seethed and skittered along the fringes of the brains of everyone present, questing, ethereal scalpels delicately probing for the most vicious place to stab deep. Another Raider Engineer succumbed to his powers, summoning a forcefield generator to shroud the dark chaos elemental in protective energies, and a change in the texture of shadow covering his face suggested that the Scarlet Eye was smiling. Then the Raider Engineer stiffened, and Cry took him.

Scarlet Eye growled faintly, releasing his hold on the Engineer, causing him to drop like a puppet with cut strings. A small part of him hoped that the sudden backlash would sting Cry, but he didn't particularly expect it. He faded from view again, reappearing standing sideways on the outside wall of the building, apparently unconcerned about gravity. Reaching out, he began to psychically probe all present (whose defenses he could penetrate) on a deeper level, deftly relaying Arachnos weaknesses to the Sky Raiders, tightening Sky Raider discipline, and generally enhancing the performance of the Raiders while weakening the Arachnos.

Cry had angered him, and for that the child would pay.

And if further chaos was sewn in the wake of the death of one of Lord Recluse' Inner Circle? That was a happy side benefit.

[ QUOTE ]
As Fenrir made his way towards, from what he had heard, a rapidly intensifying fight in the warehouse, he caught something he couldn't pass up. Two unsuspecting wanderers in such a dangerous part of town. This was going to be a ball. As he landed just outside of the landmark know as The Crater, he said,"Cute costumes, so sorry I'll have to tear them up."

[/ QUOTE ]
Whatever Fenrir might have been expecting from this announcement... this probably hadn't been it. The only reaction the two heroes gave was Target's arrow swivelling around to point squarely at his Fenrir's left eyeball.

Energon X, on the other hand, just threw up his hands. "Is it just something in the water, or what?" he demanded of the world at large. "Not now, Uncle E..." Target grumbled, sounding more embarassed than worried. The older Blaster ignored him. "I mean, seriously! What is it about head-to-toe Impervium armour, the fact that I'm flying, and literally glowing with enough raw power to light the area up like a beacon... and obviously not even slightly worried about this fact... that says 'easy target', exactly?" he growled, waving his arms agitatedly.

"Yeah, yeah, Uncle E, we get it, you look powerful, people are idiots, could we get on with this?" Target snarked irritably. His uncle glared at him for a moment, the two blazes of incandescent purple power that were the only remaining indicator of his eyeballs focussing on his nephew, before he shrugged. "Whatever. We in a hurry, do you want this one, or shall I splat him?" The younger Blaster considered this for a second, then shrugged, his arrow never wavering. "Pick a number between one and ten." he suggested.

Energon X pondered for a moment, then said "Seven." Target tilted his head to one side, then replied "Wrong." loosing his arrow as he spoke and launching after it in a blurred arc of electric power, lightning reaching from his hands to wreathe the arrow and reach out towards Fenrir. If the Brute didn't move, he was going to find himself playing lightning rod through the new piercing in his eyeball.

Cry felt someone peering on his bubble and quickly withdrew all his extremities and mental links in the bubble. He was able to pinpoint the disturbance to a half invisible villain. He smiled as his eye rolled to focus on the one. Cry had plenty enough power to sap this fellow dry and make him his new caretaker, but none the less he was worthful in making a good fight.

"Don't interfere." The Eye was fully submerged in Cry and looking upon Scarlet Eye. The now started to envelope Scarlets own physic energy's against him, sending him feedback like a microphone held up to its own speaker. Then he started to sap.
"There are things Ghost Widow and I share and others I keep to myself, Scarlet Eye. Do try and protect yourself, your own mental cubicle is pitiful."

The infant pressed his attack against Scarlet Eye, a monster of unfathomable power. But... that was all. Power. Cry had little experience... abruptly the new Ghost Widow found himself sharing the mindscape with two Scarlet Eyes... minimal cunning... a third Scarlet Eye appeared on the mindscape... precious little fine control... a fourth, a fifth... all the subtlety of a brick... a sixth, an eighth, a twelfth, and, at least next to the Scarlet Eye, virtually no skill. Cry found himself exerting his impossible power against... nothing.

The Scarlet Eye had simply shattered under his attack, splintering into thousands of otherselves, embracing madness and avoiding the attack by allowing it to land, like some arcane mind-to-mind form of judo. He opened himself up fully to Cry, the raw, seething chaos of his mind an inferno of psychic energies that none could comprehend and few could pass through unscathed, quicksilver flashes of thought that burned to the touch, and allowed none to grasp them.

And all the while, he was feeding information subliminally to the Sky Raiders, minute adjustments to aim to do the most damage, a hint to switch loadouts here, a telekinetic nudge to the arm to bring a machete down with the perfect amount of force there... and all on a level too subtle for Cry to be more than dimly aware of, with all the psionic energy roaring through the room. It would be like trying to perceive the tune of a music box through a train wreck, while both you and the box were on the train.

The Scarlet Eye continued the chaotic tornado of mind energy, a death of a thousand cuts for anyone unlucky enough to be caught in it... and, abruptly, stopped, the mindscape growing still. Then, a presence loomed over Cry's telepathic shoulder. "You wish to test whether we can see... Eye... to Eye... child?"

"Oh, he'll eat absolutely anything." the Field Commander replied with a malicious smirk directed at his comrade, the suit of armor following the two with the same noisy, rhythmic steps as before.

"Not true." Danger denied fervently, and by now Marty may have noticed that Groul's voice didn't vary much from when he'd still donned his own suit either. The Specialist's tone of course still lay embedded in his suit's speaker system, "I do not eat rocks...often."

"Anything." Groul repeated quietly to the hero as Danger piloted his suit to the industrial refrigerator while the Field Commander approached the table. He'd gotten a good look at Dragonistic earlier, though not so much at Wolffe. Of him, he'd only observed the red leather armor that held a black trail down its sides. Now he took note of the eyes of iridescent blue as well. But what did the rest of the man look like...?

--------------------

Or so she'd planned.

The female figure might have done well not to assume. Even a Kurukt wasn't capable of simply bending this 'metal' - more accurately, a metalplastic known as terconium. A staple for shipbuilding throughout this galaxy, the stuff could stand up to ludicrous stresses and temperatures, making it an excellent (if somewhat costly) material from which to manufacture interstellar vessels. To assume someone could just pull the stuff apart was just silly.

Luckily for the peacebringer, there sat another, somewhat larger gouge not a few meters to the side. It led into the same general sector, although this gash passed through the multi-layered hull entirely, even the honeycombed substructure between solid layers. Judging from the toughness of the terconium, whatever had managed to create this was likely something the peacebringer didn't want to meet - especially if it was still around.

Be that as it may, the 'inky blackness' that reigned inside wasn't anything but a regular-old absence of light. The Rover had no power, and the illumination had gone with it. For a being capable of emitting its own light, this of course wasn't much of a problem.

After she'd climbed and/or hovered up through almost two meters of mangled material, the peacebringer finally reached the actual interior through a tear in the floor. The room she'd arrived in wasn't much to look at; an armory of some sort, at least judging by the shelves that served as locking stations of what looked like relay race batons (though the high-tech nature of the weapons clearly indicated otherwise).

The chamber itself wasn't large, and the female could easily tell some of the armaments had been removed from the room after whatever fight had concluded. The open doorway at the other end suggested this as well, as doors that led to rooms that had been breached would logically have been sealed immediately during combat, not left open and accessible. Ergo, there was definitely someone here.

What defined as 'here', however, was a good question. The corridor that lay outside the armory led both ahead and astern...

Katie stood there for a moment listening for any sign of possible life, hearing none and seeing that the door lay open to a breached compartment she decided that the behemoth was most likely un-inhabited or was ran by an AI and not worth her time since nobody was home.

Exiting out of monster vehivle the same way she came she Jumped up and began to fly in the direction of where the behomoth came from more interested now in how it had gotten here than if anyone was in side since if there had been a crew inside they would have sealed off compartments that were breached

((o.O This is moving horribly fast))

She nodded, stuffing the last piece of meat into her mouth, and got up to leave. A long, forked tongue licked the last of the precious meat juices off her mouth.

Dragonistic headed right for the nearest open room, clearly not wanting to walk any more than she had to. She was very tired after spending all that time in the warzones.
She wasted no time in programming the lock, a seemingly completely random sequence of numbers that she'd be sure to remember, and that no one would suspect. Reverse psychology: They'd think she was too smart to use a combination like that.

Dragon dropped herself right down on the bed, bouncing up and down a little to test it. It seemed reasonably comfortable, more so than cement or wood at least, and pretty sturdy. Excellent.

She glanced around to make sure no one was watching, even though there were no windows and the door was locked. Old habits die hard. After doing the quick inspection of the room, she pulled a small gold coin out from under a scale.

Dragon turned it over in her claws, admiring the way the simple metal gleamed and shined in the dim light. Mutant she may be, not really half-dragon, but she did have a draconic side for sure. Mentally, that is.
This coin was one of the few things she still owned. She wasn't sure how long she'd had it -- a long time, she knew at least, and it had never been lost or stolen.

D liked to think it brought her good luck. Maybe it did, since she'd survived this long. She'd actually had the coin tested to see if it was magical, but no one had been able to find anything. It was apparently just her little lucky charm.

She smiled, hiding the coin away again and walking back out into the hallway, being sure to close her door behind her.

Cry squirmed in the Night Widow's arm he was about to cry. The Night Widow tried to hush Cry to calm him down. A demonic voice spread through the minds of every mystic, physic and any potential listener on the physic plane, "I got what I wanted when my eye gloomed over your past. Just let me touch your mind and lets see how vast you can fill my mind." Cry was leading him into a trap.

"Just let me touch you..." Cry felt the presence over his shoulder and grabbed with his mind as it evaporated in physic energy, Cry screened his physic energies to expand feeling everything Scarlet Eye had set out.

"Let me touch you." Cry like Ghost Widow used the power of souls to do bidding for his attacks, the reason for his physic power was that he himself was a mini-gateway for all spiritual and physic energy. Any who dared to peer into his own physic network would only look into themselves and a vast chamber impossible to fill and a place where Cry was strongest.

"SERIOUSLY. CUT THAT OUT." The loudspeakers boomed with enough force to crack what little glass there was left around the area. A huge force wave sent the Arbiter blasting away from the Skiff for the third time. The Skiff rapidly made a roundabout turn, catching while he maneuvered the faces of all five of his remaining Raiders, who had just finished off their second hero.

"This is Ross, clear for Lance Cannon." He projected to his comrades' helmets. The raiders maneuvered a bit further from the skiff, which was humming rather strongly. Some sort of magnetic coils were charging inside of the machine, and the Arbiter would realize just what was happening when the nose of the Skiff opened and revealed a rather large bore cannon.

"Lance is go!" Ross yelled, and the magnetically charged shot hurtled out of the railcannon, aiming right for the Arbiter...
