Cry was frustrated to the point where he couldn't fall asleep. "I wanna play. Send a convoy through Steel Canyon, make it as loud as possible..." Cry's thing was to set up traps and it was something he was learning to do well.
The Night Widow and Cry came to a hanger full of Fliers and other transports. Cry decided to take on the landing gear that initially was used to invade the Americas. Shaped like a wedge and heavily armored in front and back, and could possibly carry a battalion of Arachnos troops or some sort of weapon Daddy made up. He required three and several fliers, along with a small group of Initiates to Arachnos, what Arachnos called its beginning villains since the Chosen One had... failed Lord Recluse.
"As requested Lt. Cry three Heavy Landers, 2 Fliers, and a requested... meat fodder." Cry chuckled as the ships lined up as the hanger door opened.
"Head through Steel Canyon and make sure your presence is known." Cry laid back into his blanket the Night Widow was holding and immediately scouted the zone with his mind for any heroes.
He didn't want to meet Scarlet Eye again this day, that would ruin his fun, but if Scarlet Eye were ever in the Commissioning Office he would fine a hefty sum of money and a invite for a tutor.
((:X Sorry- so we're in Talos, go it.))
"I wasn't exactly throwing out a challenge," said Salazar, "I was just saying that, if that is what you had planned, we were ready." "Ohh and why I'm trying to kill you," Fenrir said, " is, I'm not." "I just like a good Fight, nothing more." Knowing of the draining properties of electricity, Fenrir went into the grapple with his fists encased is stone, allowing for most of the current to be neutralized, but still feeling some of it's affects. However, as they grappled, he slowly released an invisible electric field, which would have the same draining properties.

When Monarch hit the sack, it was like a blanket of pure joy covered him. The bed was firm, but comfortable, and the sheets were warm. He quickly drifted off into the realm of sleep and was carried away. He was in some strange place, metallic, and cold. The doorways were rectangular, and on them was an interesting red symbol, one he could not make out. As he moved closer, he suddenly fell backwards in surprise. On the door, was an Arachnos symbol, and he was in one of their labs. He awoke in a cold sweat. The same dream had been haunting him for three years now. He had once been kept prisoner is an Arachnos testing facility, from which he escaped with the help of Flagstaff and an elite team of heroes. He never wanted to go back, but he had volunteered to.
Groul remained silent for now, though a slight nod confirmed he had surely listened - that, or it could've been simply part of the jerk his head had just performed to rend a sizeable slab of meat from the leg in his claws.
"Go on." Danger took the word instead, taking into his arms the cherry that he'd carried in his armorsuit's other hand, the fuit easily larger than the Specialist's head, "I mean, what makes these 'villains' so evil?"
Despite the obvious nature of his question as a catch-22, Danger appeared oblivious as he tore a hearty bite from his cherry, making his way into the fruit's core with deft speed. The seed didn't seem to bother him, a few crunching noises the only signs he'd even noticed the thing. The fact that Groul and Danger were very much alike, despite all their far-reaching morphological differences, stood clear and for all to see.
Before anyone could meditate on this, however, another interjection burst into being, though this time it seemed known to only the Specialist; at least at first. No sooner had Danger placed two fingers of his right hand than his comrade did the same. Unlike the Specialist, however, Groul didn't request silence by the raising of a hand.
The transmission certainly wasn't in English, and even if it had been, had been sent via hypercom; a means of communication unknown to humanity. The only one around liable to pick up on the signal was likely to be Lou, and he probably had other worries at this point.
"This is the Dark Rover calling R.F.S. COLOSSUS. We have mis-jumped. Requesting immediate extraction. COLOSSUS, do you read? We are not receiving your beacon. Please respond."
"Sweet, the Chief's here." Danger grinned broadly, announcing the news in English and turning to the Field Commander for a moment, "You take this one, I'll keep talking to these guys."
Groul gave soundless answer with a nod - quite a clear one this time - and then proceeded to speak in the unfamiliar tongue, though the red-scaled being seemed to know the language quite well. In a few short words, Groul reported in and exchanged the most necessary bits of information, such as the general situation, its classification, casualties, et cetera. It wasn't until a ways in that the conversation took a much more serious turn.
"Groul, I want you to listen to me very carefully. When I said we mis-jumped, I meant really so. After we plugged the Rover into one of the fighters, we launched a drone. It's telling us the deformer punched us almost 22 years too far ahead - not to mention the whole public location situation."
"Understood." the Field Commander returned emotionlessly, never switching to English or any language familiar to humanity as the discussion went on, "Any orders yet? There's an F-1-2-4, Scale A going on here. Definitely not something I'm comfortable stepping in right now..."

"Myself and Caleb have been planing to assault the base for awhile now. Our only problems so far have been the defense of Bastion in our absense, finding enough supplies to keep Bastion while we are away, finding the villain base, and setting up a temporary camp to gather intel somewhere in it's viscinity." Marty was twiddling his thumbs.
"As you can see we have some problems. We are in dire need of help, and our students are getting restless. It seems every day that I hear one say that they want to attack the villains. If we don't do something fast we may have a few less."
Bladewing was jolted away from watching Energon's battle, the blaster could handle himself and this other data indicated something rather more serious.
"Where did you record this data from? TELL ME AT ONCE!"
I recorded it from within the depths of the Bastion, lord Bladewing."
Scratching his chin, Bladewing opened his sphere and moved towards his portal room.
"This might finall give me a chance to use some of the resources I have, And dont give me that crap about 'you need it to survive', because I bring in more and more of it every time I go for a jaunt and kill things, I'm getting tired of adding new dimensions to rooms to store stuff that could be used by those heroes.!"
........Very Well "Master" Bladewing, but I must still advise aganst this.
Humming to himself, Bladewing began scribing the mystic symbols in the air to open a portal right next to the speakers.
"Objection duly noted, but right now I feel like scrapping again instead of waiting for the earth to eventually be annihilated......and if the earth is gonna go boom, I want to be at least semi-involved!"

The Bastion
In the air besides Marty and the others, a pulsing black rune appeard, invisible against the shadows behind it. Then it began to move in a circle, leaving more runes in it's wake, and the whole rune ring began to rotate.
With a mild thunderclap of equalizing air, Bladewing stepped through the black disk, No-Dachi at his side.
"I hear that you people are having supply issues? If so then I have exactly what you need. Oh and Hi Caleb, Long time no se-......wait where did Caleb go?"

Marty quickly palmed the dagger he had pulled, "Who? Wha?. . .Caleb went to bed."
After a few quick seconds of thought Marty looked into the sword weilder's face, "You said something about supplies?"

Caleb's Room
The oversized punching bag swung back and forth on its chain, the creaking rebounding off the sound proofed walls along with the heavy thud of his fists. He was quickly trying to get rid of the excess chakra his body made on its own.
He quickly hit the floor and did a spinning kick commonl used in Capoiera. He spun off the floor and did a double knee thrust into the top of the bag as he quickly changed from Capoeira to Muay Tai. The walls still seemed to be doing their weird swelling thing from the chakra that flooded the room.
He hit the floor, the bag swinging with force toward his face, and began concentrating on his right fist. The air began to circulate around his closed fist. A quarter of a second before the bag would have hit him in the face, he solidly punched dead center releasing the controlled energy. The bag exploded with a lound bang, sand and weights spilled across the floor.
He picked up his white towel from the corner of his bed, whiping the sweat from his face. That's when he felt the disturbance in the air. He recognized this energy Bladewing.
Without stopping to think about putting his limiter suit on he opened his room's door and ran down the hallway toward the cafeteria. Cracks spread along the wall with every step he took.
He ran through the entry way of the caf wearing nothing but a ragged pair of tight blue jeans. He stopped when he saw the prescence of the energy, "Howdy 'Wing. Never thought I'd see you again after that last battle we went through."

Energon X shrugged. "Eh, pull up a piece of rubble and enjoy the show, then. Target'd never admit it, but he likes a good scrap as well." "Get... stuffed... Uncle E." Target managed to grind out, breaking the grapple and jerking back. He hadn't lost much, but the energy he had drained from Fenrir into himself had been lost just as quickly to Fenrir's own draining field.
He closed in again, darting forwards and dropping a quick one-two combination, a feint towards the bridge of Fenrir's nose and a much heavier punch aimed at his breadbasket, then launching backwards, clawing for altitude and firing as he went, a rain of poly-carbonate arrows specifically selected for their 100% non-magnetic properties. Electrical fields would do little to stop these. And, just for good measure, there was a mix of explosive arrows mixed in.

"Close, but no cigar," Fenrir said, dodging the one two combo. As he looked up, he saw a barrage of arrows raining down. To his surprise, as the arrows entered his field, only some exploded, whereas other kept hurtling towards him. Quickly sidestepping, he managed to dodge a few, but was hit with a sharp thud by the remaining arrows. Staggering backwards, he launched himself at Target, almost at the speed of light, teleporting in and out. He then formed two stone mallets, one in each hand, and swung fiercely. "You're a fun playmate," he said with a grin.
Nova followed the rovers trail for what seemed like 10 minutes before it came to an abrupt end, as if it had just appeared out of nowhere one minute, nothing there and the next the stampeding rover barreling over everything in its way. Coming closer to the tracks abrupt end or beginning of the tracks which ever you looked at it the small hairs on the back of Novas neck began to rise leading to an indication of increased presence of energy in the air, however circling the area for minutes she couldnt pinpoint the possible location of the increased energy.
Well Emmy it looks as if it just appeared out of nowhere right here, strange though. There does seemed to be a presence of some kind of energy here
It isnt negative energy Katie that I dont sense, but yes there is a high presence of energy here not sure what it is but it is energy none the less
Hmmm well the rover was completely dark and it didnt look like anyone was there anymore I think it was controlled by an AI most likely however the big question is who sent it here and more importantly why? But anyway we need to get this letter to this secret hero base that is rumored to be around here
Well Katie we have searched Talos, DA, Galaxy city, Faultline, whats left of founders falls, and now boomtown without finding any trace of it that only leaves Atlas park, Perez park, the Hollows, old Skyway, new Skyway and Steel canyon to search.
Hmm well Emmy lets start with Skyway, old skyway would be the best place most likely for this bastion place right under the nose of countess Crey in new Skyway, Lets go, we can tell the other heroes about this when we get there and let them deal with it they way they want to
Nova began to rise as she turned and headed back the way she came taking one last pass over the rover that was still buried under the ruble and not moving or giving any hint of life. Moving on she headed towards the entranceway between boomtown and the ruined Steel canyon. About 50 yards from the entranceway she swooped low to the ground and landed near one of the only buildings that were left standing and grabbed the brown duffel from its hiding place and quickly took off her cape and placing it in the duffel she grabbed a hooded cape and attached it to the epaulets that had held the other cape in place. Taking a quick look around to make sure nobody had saw he she changed into a plain pair of jeans with a t-shirt and long sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up to her elbows. Grabbing her gear she started to glide over to the connecting hallway and double checked to make sure nobody was watching her and moved walked to the Steel canyon side of the blast doors. Exiting out she looked around again to make sure nobody was watching her; she didnt want to raise any suspicions and began to float a couple of inches above the ground in the direction of the skyway city blast doors. She began to run over the details of Skyway city that she had memorized before taking this mission.
She had heard of how Skyway had been split into two parts the upper part had become a techno paradise brought to you by Crey technologies, a place where one could find anything that they wanted technology wise for a price and ruthlessly controlled by the countess Crey; one could not go a block without seeing a Crey goon or a Crey research facility.. And the lower part old Skyway shutoff from new Skyway by use of a shield that kept the undesirables from entering new Skyway. Old Skyway a place where failed horrific experiments roamed the streets in search of human prey or feeding on each other, the roaming gangs there found the inhabitants easy prey to add to their ranks. The misguided joining them with hopes of leaving the filth behind, only to find themselves still trapped even more so.
(( I thought I would flesh out a zone since nobody has taken skyway yet, it seemed like the perfect choice for a cyberpunk setting I envisioned the seperating barrier to be about the hieght of the raod that leasat to the perez park and covers the whole Zone everything below is considered old skyway and everythign above new skyway. the shield is much like the FF powerset will let light in although not alot))
The new energy caused Monarch to rise. "Someone's here," he said to himself. He quickly ran down the hallway, running into Caleb and a strange figure. Turning to the strange figure, he said,"Well hello there, my Name is Dr.Monarch, and I don't believe that we've met."
"Hey Caleb!, yeah that one got pretty hairy near the end didnt it?"
Tunring to Marty, Bladewing nodded in the affirmative.
"Yeah, I have more building materials, defenses, and salvage than you can shake a ten ton tanker at......30 years of being a hermit and having noone left to use the stuff for tends to make one a pack-rat."
Spinning back, Bladewing sampled the energy that Caleb was leaking and swiftly activated a couple of temporary seals from the scales on his arm, supressing the massive energies Caleb was emitting, at least for the time being.
"Caleb, first off dampen the energy if you can man, and secondly what have you and the rest of the DWC been up to since we tangled with Poe and the rest all those years ago?"
"I myself have been slaughtering hapless creatures in the shadow shard, eden, the Hive, and anywhere I can to get a surplus of the stuff I need to maintain my base of operations....those CoT bastards really dont like to lose their tomes and artifacts....and I kinda am ashamed to say that I raided Azuria's vault....which really was too easy."

Caleb shrugged, "Sorry 'Wing that was my dad. He didn't exactly get better after mom died," Looking around he realized that he had left his limiter suit behind in his room, "Sorry guys, forgot to put my suit back on. If 'Wing can keep siphoning you shouldn't have anything to worry about."
Caleb fingered a scar that was faintly noticeable under his chin, kinda looked like he had been kicked with a studded boot in the past, as he continued, "The DWC is gone man. Dax became a type of omnipotent crystal, he is kinda the owner of the shard now. Jonas went crazy and had to be put down. Bang was depowered and the last time I saw him he was wandering around Bloody Bay muttering about his lost hat. Kaega, Build, and the rest just dissappeared. Other than that everything is fine."
Marty was fingering the top of the pill bottle as he listened to Caleb's story. Back in the day's when they were little they had often had the chance to be around the older members of the Dark World Court. That was before Caleb's father started his own group and left that life behind.
Marty felt the top of the bottle come off in his pocket. He was earnestly thinking about taking one of the caffeine pills, he was just too lazy to get the pills out of his pocket.

Specialist Danger leaped to his feet the moment the inky blackness of Bladewing's portal appeared in the cafeteria, already expecting a Shade. Observant as he was, however, the sigils informed him otherwise. That didn't mean the diminutive man relaxed in any visible manner, though - his right hand had already filched one pistol from its holster, and the left wasn't far away.
Field Commander Groul kept a much more cool and calm demeanor, regarding the new arrival with no motions but those his eyes, the rest of his red-scaled form giving no indication he'd even picked up on Bladewing's presence.
Actually, this wasn't entirely accurate. He'd ceased speaking to the Rover, and as Groul sank his teeth gently into his meal once more, two clawed fingers of his right hand motioned to Danger, indicating to the Specialist he should stand down. Neither had a plainly clear connection to the arrival, however.
Following this gesture, Groul requested the other on the line to stand by until he'd treaded out the new situation. He regarded Bladewing with great interest now, the similarities to the Dark Dragon quite many. Indeed, just what were the specifics of the new arrival's form...?
--------------------
It was really too bad Nova hadn't spared the Dark Rover a second glance. Though it wouldnt have been apparent from a simple once-over, the fusion plant that had come online within the vehicle was by no means detection shielded at this point.
Motion, however, hadn't come about. The only difference visible at the exterior were the flickering patches of flickering luminescence within several larger gashes - and then only if the observer stood close enough...

Acanous watched the battle between Arachnos and the Sky Raiders with intrest, noting the Arbiter's teleportation ability and the Jump Bot's unfathomable speed.
Yeah, they're REALLY going to owe me for this...
Taking in enemy tactics and combat routines, at least those his eyes could track, Acanous was suitably impressed.
As for those he COULDN'T catch, he was confident that Angus would have them documented, with appropriate countermeasures, and hardcoded into his cybernetic brain by the weekend. With a printed version for the field manual.
Personally, Ac would propably go over their routine with a bigscreen and some popcorn.
Watching the Arbiter, Acanous spotted some of his own favorite teleportation tactics being used, and absentmindedly wondered if Arachnos had intelligence on him.
Then things started to get wierd. From his perch on the windowsill, Acanous felt the affects of a reality ripple, something he had rather unique experience with in the past.
This one, however, seemed to be eminating from a young child, who was also apperently centrivical to the battle.
He stopped watching the raiders, and started focusing on the kid.
The youngster was joined by a shifting mass of energy, propably an elemental of some sort. Acanous mentally filed the "Psionic-Also summons things" in case he had to deal with it later.
The battle raged on, and missiles and bullets were sent hither and yon. Notably, the sky raiders' tactics began to change. It was rather subtle, you propably wouldn't notice if you weren't sitting there studying enimy tactics. Then the elemental vanished, reappearing not 5 feet from Acanous' window-perch.
He gripped the hilt of the Gatesaber, certain that he had been detected, but the elemental diddn't attack. Instead, it looked as though it's attentions were focused elsewhere, and Acanous thanked all things good and holy for the Gate keeping him wrapped in negaspace(Obsidean Shield) as he felt a psychic probe bombard him, and propably everything else in a 2 block radius.
Going through the mind-blanking exercise he had learned in the Rikti War kept his cover from being blown, although he had an urge to invest in sweat bands for such situations in the future.
The elemental dissappeared, but not in such a way that Acanous was familiar with- no form of teleportation or phase inverting. He shrugged. if he's gone, good. if not, I can't do anything about it... might as well get back to work.
His attention turned back to the child, who was hastilly being carried away by a Fortunata. Blast doors sealed thier getaway, and Acanous cursed himself for losing such a valuable opportunity to glean more intel.
The battle seemed to be favoring the Sky raiders, although it was now taking place uncomfortably close. More Arachnos troops came out of nowhere to even the odds.
Double-tapping a button on the inside of his hood, Acanous teleported the minidisk that had been recording the battle to a secure satellite, which would beam the data back to a relay somewhere in the Pacific ocean. From there it would make it's way through a series of connections back to the ULTRA outpost.
Sometimes paranoia had it's advantages.
((Note, I'm not controlling anybody's charactors, this was a recap from AC's point of view. He's going to get in on the action soon enough, and Arachnos would've been able to detect him teleporting that disc, although with all the porter activity it might be overlooked.))

((I know, Devious, but check my edited post. I'm assuming that Black Scorpion is somewhere onsite, since he sent those Bane Spiders. Scarlet Eye has decided to send Cry's ex-puppets on a postal rampage directed at BS. Cry will get blamed for it, especially since he just finished telling BS off, and his psychic imprint on the puppets is so strong (and un-subtle) that any traces of Scarlet Eye's meddling will be obliterated.
And, in the happy event that the deranged super-puppets actually manage to off Black Scorpion, more chaos will be created, 'feeding' Scarlet Eye, and he's rid of one more person who pisses him off. Yes, Scarlet Eye is quite homicidally insane))
Target caught one mallet on his bow, spinning away with a grunt and putting the bow away. The other mallet had been deflected by his electrical armour, and he was briefly thankful that his opponent's terrakinesis seemed to be at least partially electromagnetically based, leading to stone mallets with a high ferrous content. Nevertheless, he was going to be spending a bit of time in the regen tubes after this fight.
Okay... bruised ribs, and the way my wrists are stinging, I probably won't be able to launch shots with any degree of accuracy for a few minutes. Suppose I should be thankful that those mallets of his had any kind of conductivity at all. the archer thought. Aloud, he grumbled "Wish I could say the same about you."
This is going to hurt, but if I don't bring this guy down soon, he's gonna do a lot worse to me. With that thought, Target brought his hands together with a titanic thunderclap in an attempt to force Fenrir back. Then he wove electricity into a net, casting it around Fenrir to cage him about with electromagnetic force. If the Brute could be held in place, he would be, essentially, at the Blaster's mercy. At least, once Target could shoot straight again.

Acanous breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that he had filled his quota of recon for the day. Everything else was now at his own discretion.
Plus with that minidisk gone, he diddn't have to worry about possible "Accidental" spying.
At least not from his end.
Cracking his knuckles in anticipation, Acanous took one last survey of the battlefield before jumping in.
With the one arbiter outside, and the raiders capable of flying, odds are against me there. The arachnos troops are all level and in the building, meaning I've got a level fight on my hands. Only problem will be crossfire. Besides, if the Arbiter notices me, I might be able to find out just how much Arachnos knows about my fighting style.
Leaping through the broken window, Acanous unleashed the energies that made up his dark armour, causing damage to anything that got near him- as well as invoking a primordial fear in people affected.
He turned to the Arachnos Webmaster, and began pummeling him in a flurry of negative-energy charged blows, the expenditure of energy snapping him into full visability.
"Hi! how's it goin?" He shouted out the window, delivering a swift, energy-charged uppercut to the Webmaster.
"I was in the area and I heard about this little bash"
The Webmaster, his mind and body assaulted by negative energy, struck wildly, missing Acanous by a full yard, and stumbling as Ac connected with a quick punch to the back of his helmet.
"Thought I'd drop in for the party, maybe score some free munchies"
The Arachnos started to regroup from the surprise attack on thier commander, turning around to blast at the Scrapper. The energy bolts seemed to diffuse in the roiling cloud of nega-energy, dealing far less real damage than they should have.
Acanous focused, and drew energy from the arachnos combatants, refracting it within his cloaks untill it spilled out in a blazing white light, amplifying the energies already pouring out into the troop, and dealing more damage as Acanous focused it into the Webmaster, dropping im with another series of blows.

My thoughts on November 30.
Two streams of bright blue plasma headed straight for Acanous's head from above, which would literally melt the interior of his head should it hit. The beams were shortly after followed by another blast of forcefield energy with the strength to at least literally shatter bones. The beams were strategically placed so that the easiest way to dodge them would bring him straight into the energy's path, causing him to be incapacitated, if not outright killed.
Now, lest Acanous forget his observations earlier, he would have recognized the perpatrator of this act, a certain Arbiter Jake Walsh. Jake was a very high ranking Arbiter, and next in line for the position of lieutenant, should Black Scorpion fail.
"Sorry buddy. Private function. You should've RSVP'd."
((Okay, I have no idea where Colin is.))
"It's gone! [censored]!" Ross' loudspeakers boomed.
"[censored]! GO! SWARM THE BASE!"
---
Corpses littered the base that night, Raider and Arachnos alike. At the end of a long fortress wall was the burned out husk of a Sky Skiff, Arachnos corpses splayed in every direction around it. Most of the airframe had been torn apart by what looked like a bomb that had detonated from the inside of the cockpit.
---
"Archon Frenzk?"
"What is it, Adjutant?"
"Sir, they have failed."
"..."
((That mean you're predetermining the result of the battle, or are we still to hurt each other? :3))
((That's the result, some dead arachnos, but they're all dead. For the sake of the arguement, Khell's jump bot escaped by blasting a hole through the roof and jetting out spectacularly.))
((Mmmkay, so are you going to RP the rest of the battle or do we just skip ahead?))
"A telsa cage, eh?" "Well as much as you might think this'll hurt me, you're sadly mistaken." "I draw energy from electricity," said Fenrir, dodging out of the way of the cage, but to his surprise, being caught. "[censored]...Well even though you have me, I can still defend myself." He suddenly smashed the ground causing a fault, practically covering his body fully, sheilding him from attacks. "Didn't wanna have to use this," he said, charging up the electrons in his body. He started to vibrate, really fast, and then began changing into a being of pure electricity. "The cage won't help anymore", he said, meshing with the cage. He then passed through and materialized on the other side. "This is my trump card, really." I'm not gonna kill yah, but you'll remember this fight for a while," he said.
((No, we're skipping. They weren't fighting you, they just caused general havoc to get themselves all killed.))
Target stared at electric-Fenrir for a moment, amazed, before he finally found his voice. "Uh... how are you talking?" he eventually managed to ask. Then he shrugged, and loosed another of his non-conductive arrows, cursing as his wrists stung. Hopefully, this one will make him think that my arrows are now totally harmless against him, and that I'm out of ideas.
Then he fired a spread of plain old aluminum-shafted, steel-tipped, highly conductive arrows, after giving them a positive charge. Then he fired a second spread, giving them a negative charge. No matter which spin Fenrir's electrons had at this point, one batch of arrows was going to act like a set of homing missiles and punch harmlessly straight through the now-electrical being, and into the ground at his feet... grounding him out completely once they struck earth.
