My thoughts on November 30.
Energon was quite mistaken; although he may have well imagined the three to be startled at his pronunciation, in truth they hadn't even taken note.
"Actually, no." the robed saurian replied to the request for confirmation, "But my name is quite long, and I've found Ken to be quite acceptable."
In response to Energon's next remark, Ken turned to his left, looking upon U!n'kd|m with a visible confusion, "But he hasn't said any...oh! You mean Forty-Four."
The amorph didn't make a sound as Ken inquired something of it, then produced a tentacle from its 'stem' and held the tip toward the saurian, who gave a nod in response.
"Must be the losolvatt." Ken concluded, eyeing the microscopic device that floated about in the protoplasm of Forty-Four's tentacle tip, the translator no larger than a speck of dust, "We really need to upgrade to something less susceptible to pressure."
"Malfunctioning translator." he explained to Energon as they descended, "Although a human shouldn't react like that. Are you by any chance a Sun Engineer?"
Meanwhile, the un-dented hangar doors atop the Dark Rover ground open, the noise suggesting a tough and very complex locking mechanism beneath the thick armor. One could only imagine what sort of ludicrous specifications the vehicle had been built to - and the even more frightening stresses it had been subjected to.
After a few moments, the pair of doors finally slid aside, allowing view into the chamber below. To most, there wasn't much to look at, though Energon's opinion may well have differed on that matter. A ship reminiscent of a sporty trimaran stood in the hangar's center, the heavy fighter ready to launch at any given moment, and about the periphery meandered creatures of quire a few shapes and sizes, wearing (or not wearing) just as many forms of attire. Currently, they seemed engaged in transporting otherworldly cargo crates from the hangat to other sections of the Rover. The reconstruction effort stood in all ahead...
--------------------
"I say you take him up on that." Danger gave Wolffe a verbal nudge, though the Specialist didn't truly believe the man would need it, "Oh, and just out of curiosity - when the GC-I mean, Portal Corp. building was destroyed, did anyone find anything...strange underneath?"
Groul's eyes darted to his comrade, the towering draconian almost holding his breath for a moment. The answer to this question would clarify a great many things.
One way.
Or another...

((Seriously Proj, I'd really appreciate if you cleaned up your grammar some. No offense, but your posts are still hella hard to read. ))
Scirocco's lips curled into a frigid smirk at Cry's attempt to redirect the conversation. The undead infant should have known better, but Malak simply left the topic at that.
"Then next time Ernesto surfaces in our central medical facility, I shall make sure to direct Silver Mantis to rock you to sleep instead." he told Cry, the smirk wiped from his visage once more. He'd had enough trouble getting away from that madwoman this time, and therefore harbored no desire to encounter her again for quite a while.
Malak's eyes narrowed without warning, his tone growing even colder as his face neared that of the infant, "I cannot allow this infighting to continue. A house divided cannot stand, and the same applies to Arachnos. You are but fortunate the Arbiters seem to have cast a kind eye upon you. Now, explain to me your strike at Rodriguez..."

Cry quickly came up with a excuse as Dead Aim turned away, "I am ensuring my stay within Arachnos, Malak. I am not a person to be trifled with." Dead Aim started to walk off Cry putting the blanket around him.
Cry didn't want to talk to Malak anymore he was tired.
Get me a Mu. The message echoed to the Fortunta who quickly responded with whispers of yes. It wasn't until he heard the clanking of chains and the door opening to the makeshift office did Cry whisper orders, strong orders, ones that would enhance the Mu Mystic's powers ten-fold to see what Cry couldn't see.
Look... for the elementals... Scarlet Eye, peer, see, watch, I need to know. The Mu Mystic didn't hesitate to seek what it needed.

Forgotten Zone
The mask hungrily lapped up the chaos energy that was blasted at it. Then the mask melted. What you expected something more? Too bad. The melted metal pooled on the ground. Then the pool began to travel up the jester's leg.
The mask ended up on his face, masking all of his facial features. The mask was only at a quarter of its original power when the chaos crystal struck him between the eyes. With a flash, the ragged homeless man was gone. In his place stood a figure that gave Joan of Arc nightmares, and made the good King Arthur tremble in his sleep.
His clothing had changed to royal purple and black jester's pants, shirt, boots, and hat. He gave a very deep bow to the elemental, his face first touching the ground and then being absorbed into it.
The concrete sidewalk gave a slurping noise as he straightened. "OY! Little elemental, wee now havee a little more equal terms," Bang said as he merrily skipped from one foot to the other.
Then all at once the chaos energy that Scarlet Eye had been so greedily drinking seemed to abruptly cease then multiply by a thousand. "It's tooo badd kiddo, wee could have been friendss in anotherr. . .actually I probably stilll wouldd have endedd up killing you," The jester said as the residual psychic energy in the air seemed to coalesce into a single point and be fired at the elemental.
------------------------------------
The crystal cat leapt off of Bladewing's back after the saurian threw the chaos crystal. The cat performed a few aerial manuevers before all four of its paws landed on the ground. The crystal cloud that always hovered around him separated and formed a type of reflective pipe between the two combatants that would help control their energy.
"I suggest you vacate. You are dealing with three overlords. I am Dax of the Shard. He is Bang, new god of chaos. And my finely scaled friend over there can destroy entire star systems," The cat said. Luckily the elemental didn't know any of the major weaknesses that could cripple any of them.

SIREN'S CALL-
The Mu simply nodded and turned slightly, red lightning burning brilliantly around the room. The crimson wrappings around him twitched slightly as long-bound arms instinctively tried to make the somatic gestures, then the lightning coalesced into a single, brilliant point of red fire before vanishing, streaking out through a wall, and leaving streaky afterimages in Cry's eyes.
The seeker spell arced high above the Siren's Call, before blurring invisibly towards Kings Row. Not far from the zone boundary, the spell ran into the titanic storm of chaos energy howling through the aether as Scarlet Eye and Bang struggled for dominance, and simply vanished, torn to shreds by the wild currents and counter-eddies in the realms of magic.
If Cry had cared to, he could have sensed agitation from the mystic... it had been a seeking spell of terrific power, and the Mu couldn't be sure which would be worse, if the Scarlet Eye had sensed it and obliterated it so casually, or if the Scarlet Eye had destroyed it without even noticing it was there.
Disturbed, the red-bound sorceror summoned up a spiralling collection of tomes, like a whirlwind in some ancient library. Red lightning strobed out, again and again. A jumble of images formed in his mind, 'held out' for Cry's perusal. The Scarlet Eye... Chaos Incarnate, the Dark god of the Mind... immortal perpetrator of the cruel cosmic black joke... the Brain Eater (the Mu did a slight doubletake at that one, trying to figure out if his translation spell had glitched out)... finally, in one of the texts that predated the Orabengan's migration, he found some concrete information.
Translation slowly spilled out... "On our shores this day arrived an elemental, in the form of a tall, gaunt man with shadowed face and a single eye, blazing red with the fires of hate. He lends the appearance of harmlessness, but our wisest mystics believe him to feed on chaos and destruction..." the rest of the parchment trailed off in a smear of blood before ending as a burned, ragged fragment.
Confusion and shock overwhelmed the mystic, emotions so strong that they could potentially cause a sensitive psychic pain. Mental images flooded the link, feverish, frightened imaginings... Scarlet Eye whispering in Mu'Rhakmet's ear... Scarlet Eye at the shoulder of the Orabengan king... a titanic Scarlet Eye above the final battle between Hequat and Ermeeth, manipulating both like puppets with an almost ecstatic look of pleasure on his face as he fed... and fed... and fed...
The Mu collapsed without even a sigh, emotionally overwhelmed and having drastically overtaxed his mystic reserves.
KINGS ROW-
The Scarlet Eye straightened, intangible winds stirring his black duster, and shook his head slightly. "My... thanks... for the... meal." he rasped briefly, then almost smiled. Bang's ultimate-psychic-dart hit him square on... and he shattered, shards bouncing around the shelter, each bit pulling off part of the dart until it shredded to nothingness, consumed entirely by the whirlwind of Eye-shards.
A voice 'behind' Bang whispered "A cute... trick... little god... but best... leave the... mind games to those... who know them..." there was silence for a beat, then "Two... excellent... meals in... a single... day?" Scarlet Eye's voice rang from all directions, sounding amused. "One for... each hunger. Excellent..." The elemental barely acknowledged Bladewing and Dax' landing, aside from a brief nod, although he twitched a bit when Dax encased them in crystal. He lay a hand gingerly on the glowing greenness, releasing a self-replicating chaos virus, a tiny manifestation of TK that fed off chaos, much as he did. The worm crept through the crystal, spreading, disordering it, steadily making it brittle and cloudy.
That dealt with, he sort of shrugged. "Your... little god... may wield chaos.., child of... order... but..." he faded. His voice roared from everywhere. "I AM CHAOS!"
He struck.
Bang had fed him well; the psychic energy that had molded ten million brains now hummed through his ancient mind; enough chaos magic to jumpstart a minor god coursed through his veins. And controlling it all was an intellect that had watched, studied, and learned, for millennia.
Reaching out with his mind, he teleported all four combatants around rapidly, like a card shark shuffling a deck, while clouding their minds, so that none save him was sure who was where. Red Lightning clawed from the ground under their feet, sapping their energy and wearing at their endurance. And a psychic storm screamed around their heads, an invitation to madness or sanity, twisting the senses and assaulting their very memories, all the while probing, testing, seeking...
((Oh, and if you're wondering why the Scarlet Eye is fighting when it's 'clearly' suicidal- this is a great opportunity to sow chaos, which is 'food' and power to him... and he's just gotten a crazy supercharge, thanks to Bang))

Bladewing was buffeted by the mental assault, but protected by his spell. He groaned knowing that this opponent was going to require something close to full power to fight.
"I Swear, IF YOU TELEPORT ME ONE MORE TIME, I'M GONNA RIP OUT THAT EYE OF YOURS AND FEED IT TO YOU!"
Roaring, Bladewing stopped everything, the teleporting, attacks, and time itself.
Well, stopped was an inaccurate description, he had used his mastery of gravity to create a time dialation field, which encompassed himself, Bang, and Dax.
Inside the field, days could pass for every minute on the outside, thanks to the singularity point being within mere yards of those affected.
"Bang, Dax, I am gonna go close to 100%...you both know what that means, things are going to become messy."
Knowing he had slightly less than all the time in the world, Bladewing grabbed his sword, and spoke a single word.
"KAI!"
Raising his sword to the sky, Bladewing concentrated, and then a black bolt of lightening, wider than most office buildings slammed into the sword, and Bladewing, with all the force of an asteroid strike.
Bladewing was crushed into the ground by the power he released, making his own crater, but absorbing the lightning as eh was pushed downwards.
When the lightning stopped, Bladewing stood in the crater, scales absorbing all light, and blade crackling with the same dark lightning that had just struck.
"I'm allowing time to resume it's flow now guys, good luck."
Snapping his fingers, Bladewing collapsed the time dialation field.
Turning to the Scarlet Eye, Bladewing held his sword in both hands, focusing the crackling energy along the cutting edge.
"I hope you are prepared to die fool, because my blade in your face may very well be the last thing you ever see!"
Roaring with enough force to shatter stone, Bladewing charged, wings flapping, and claws ripping great furrows in the ground, and all manner of debris, dust, and the air itself twisting into his blade, vanishing for eternity.

Cry said only a few words, "I like him." Scarlet Eye was a beast and at most times irrational but rational. "Get him out of my sight, a drained Mu sickens me." The Fortunas dragged the Mu out of the room and Cry formulated his plan, his attention at the growing energy in Kings Row.
Cry didn't want to penetrate the bubble of psychic energy that engulfed Kings Row, he did not have the time or effort. He knew that Scarlet Eye was facing agaisnt a demi-god of sorts. Snuggled in the arms of Dead Aim, his mind ventured within the battle from that of Scarlet Eye seeing past the time distortion. He relayed the next few seconds to Scarlet Eye.
I am here The giggles reverberated through Scarlet Eye, Cry was within the jumbled messes of defenses and networks that Scarlet Eye had put up, but the backflow seemed to short circuit those defenses allowing such a easy penetration.
I will do no harm, I want to watch.
((Whoa guys, do please watch those powerplays. This thread's got a good vibe, and I'd really hate to see it wrecked by something like this, aiight?))
Scirocco gave a sigh as Cry departed. He knew he should have stopped the infant - it was his responsibility, after all - but against his better judgment, Malak opted to have the Arbiters handle this one.
They'd probably suspend Cry for a while, which would be an inconvenience if a powerful mentalist would be useful for a certain operation, but if the undead Lieutenant showed this sort of blatant disrespect for the framework Lord Recluse had set in stone, Malak and the Arbiter Corps had no choice but to enforce it. Discipline was needed here, and the Arbiters would dispense it.
Wait...that reminded him - where were the Arbiters? Where had Tamesis and Walsh gotten to? True, Malak could always just pass the job to one of the general corps, but these two sat just about in charge of the entire facility here. If they weren't doing their jobs, then...no, that couldn't be. Walsh especially had always been so fervent and loyal.
Something was wrong.
"Seek them." his cold tone commanded to one of his nearby Mu mystics, and it didn't take long at all for Scirocco to put two and two together.
Apparently, the Sky Raiders had managed to disable the Fortress' base-wide intruder alert before they'd struck, leaving only a small section of the base aware of their presence. The internal communications to said sector had likely been jammed as well, otherwise the Arbiters and their men could've called for superior numbers to just push the attackers back out.
Now Malak was truly frustrated. Not only had Cry attacked Ernesto, but he'd also compromised the security of the entire stronghold by not informing anyone else of the Sky Raider strike. Now Scirocco had to call upon the corps. But first, he'd have to remedy the incursion.
It took only a few moments to rile the Fortress into an all-out frenzy, security teams storming toward the embattled sector in hopes of 'there being pieces left for them' when they arrived. This done, Malak relayed a short set of orders to the Arbiter Corps - they'd have a tribunal going in no time flat. Arachnos may have followed a Darwinian philosophy, but Cry had gone too far. The Arbiters would perform their function.
Scirocco, on the other hand, now had elsewhere to be...
((And I guess I'm stuck there until Acanous posts. Krazy, you're best with Arbiters; mind picking the corps up?))

((Okey dokey. Arbiters punishing, yes? Like you said, the main forces'll have to wait until Acanous posts.))
"I agree. Cry's truly gotten out of hand." Another nameless Arbiter cried, his words and tone completely mimicing nearly every other official in the room. "He seems to believe that the regulations our great Lord Recluse set in place are simply there to be broken!"
"It's true." Yet another yelled, opting to read over his charges again. "Not only has he brought a Sky Raider assault unto our facility, but he has refused to help fend it off, as well as completely neglecting to inform anybody else of the intrusion. On top of this, he has used his henchmen to assault Black Scorpion, with clear intention to kill, thus breaking the truce the inner-circle has."
"He must be disciplined! Arachnos will not tolerate such acts!" A particularly vehement individual bellowed.
"Agreed." The first Arbiter calmly shouted over the cacophony that had erupted throughout the room. "All in favor?"
A resounding 'Aye!' reverberated throughout the chamber, leaving any and all 'Nay'-sayers too intimidated by the sheer number of those in agreement to voice their opinions.
"Very well." That same Arbiter said, albeit more quietly. "Now, as for the method of punishment..."

The psychotic Bang suddenly appeared before the chaos elemental. He gently lay a hand on the creatures left shoulder.
"Itt appearss we gott off on the wrongg foot child. Let me show you where you came from and maybe you can understand a little better how weak I currently am."
He ran one thumb over the elementals single eye. All of a sudden images that seemed to take an eternity and no time at all seemed to pass through his mind. The gods of the old court arguing. The jester joking. The very small form of Rularuu kneeling before all of them. The chaos god drinking from the All Father's glass.
The Jester tricking the other gods into giving their power over to the human world, either by taking avatars or becoming eathereal powers. Then the Jester getting bored and deciding to realease his power on the world. He took his mask off and dropped it into the human world. More shining lights than could be counted flew from his face, each one a Chaos Elemental, and each one a bundle of fun.
Bang smile as he removed his hand and struck at the elemental with the dagger clasped in his other hand.

And as for 'powerplay', I more meant the doing stuff while assuming other people's characters wouldn't respond to it (unless yalls are collaborating on this, then feel free to ignore my ramblings ) but yes, that could probably use tweaking as well.
I mean, just ask yourselves when writing this stuff: if bla is yay powerful, are the villains still a threat? After all, if your guy can just wipe the floor with the Fortress' occupants, the plot here kind of goes out the airlock, wouldn't you agree?

Yeah I know what you mean Dev. That's why I have been limiting my chars powers. Yeah Bang is a "God" and Dax is the lord of the Shard, but right now Bang isn't even half powered compared to when he is in the other threads and Dax has no control over the Shard while he isn't in it.
Bang's power will be even further limited after the battle, so no worries there. Dax will stay in cat form for all if not most of this RP so and while in that he is nowhere near his humanoid strength.

Noting his opponent's drained look, Acanous smirked, some of the negative energy reforming around him as he rushed toward the arbiter.
Quickly, Acanous took a shot toward his opponent's stomach (Shadow punch) to test his remaining defenses, and followed up with a right hook (Smite) to bring those defenses down a notch. He spun in place, trying to connect his elbow with the arbiter's face (Shadow punch) before finally delving into a brazen flurry of negatively charged blows, the punches coming from all directions- with a single purpose.(Shadow maul)
Acanous had been watching the arbiter, and they had been fighting for long enough for him to realise that this wouldn't end well if it continued as such. Thusly, while his punches appeared to be random, during his flurry, he had been aiming for a critical spot- the arbiter's medicom transport beacon.
Hoping that his apperently rash attack had lowered the arbiter's guard, the strike would, if it connected properly, signal the Arachnos medical staff to transport Jake directly to the nearest medbay.
He haddn't forgot about the snipers that put a new scar on his brow, either. Acanous was watching the roof, waiting for the split second his energy field would grant him as the bullets first entered it, determined to use it to throw the projectiles off-course.
While Acanous couldn't dodge bullets, if he was aware, and fast enough, they wouldn't hit thier intended mark, and would hurt a lot less

Alarms rang out, red lights bathing the Gatekeeper in an unflattering glow. With re-enforcements now on the way, he would have no choice but to withdraw.
The red-armoured arachnos barrel out of hatches, blast doors, and hallways, swarming over the remaining sky raiders, yelling exhuberantly. Acanous gathered more of his dark energy, wrapping himself in it's protective embrace.

A brief flickering of lights as Energon X 'blinked', then he shook his helmet, trying once again to clear his mind. "... er, my apologies. I seem to have gotten the names reversed." Then he shook his helmet again. "I suppose it's possible that I'm a Sun Engineer, given that I don't know what they are, but it seems unlikely. I was human at one point, but my current state is somewhat more... energetic." he finished cryptically, the caution of twenty years of war making him reluctant to be more open than he had to be.
The Blaster glanced briefly around as they entered the transport, interest dulled somewhat by the thudding headache that seemed to be slamming through his entire nonexistent body. Given how long it had last been since he felt any sort of physical sensation, even pain, other than the distant strain of energies trying to explode forth through him, the headache was almost more a thing of interest than a hinderance.
Some distance in, he managed to tear his attention away from the headache and ask "So... what resulted in you ending up here, on this particular world? Judging by your... ah... landing, this doesn't seem to have been your original destination... or at least, not this particular location."

Edit: Acanous's flurry of blows would deal much more damage than it normally would have, due to the condition of Jake's suit. The original blow, testing the power of his suit, would find it severely weakened, thus allowing his next punch to Jake's arm to literally break the forcefield and the armor in that area and deliver a rather nasty blow to his exposed arm.
He winced, naturally, but took advantage of the situation. As Acanous twisted his body around to deliver an elbow to his face, Jake lowered his upper body, quite literally crouching down in mid air, and delivered yet another crushing blow of force to Acanous, this time aimed at the underside of his chin. Any normal person's head would have been shattered and blown clear off.
But as Jake had noticed, Acanous was no normal person.
-----
Acanous's attempted deflection of the snipers' bullets was a success, deflecting the only one to have actually been aimed at him. Cursing at their miss, they immediately began to reload, until Acanous rushed into melee range. They couldn't risk injuring such a highly ranked Arbiter, despite the level of threat they were currently dealing with. Hesitantly turning away, they again focused their attention back onto the Sky Raiders.
-----
The soldiers whooped with the fervor for combat only beasts should have. A wave of red seemed to wash over the Sky Raiders as the vast majority of the base's soldiers attempted to decimate the invading force.
Even the risk of hurting Jake was overshadowed by their bloodlust, several red streaks quickly making their way toward Acanous.
-----
Jake's bots continued to sit, awaiting their AI to be downloaded.

"Hm..." Ken uttered, hooded head tilting upward somewhat as the three hopped from the skiff. Though the clack of claws upon the floor plating couldn't be denied, the obvious saurian still kept his vestment such that no part of his body stood visible. Even to Energon, this must have appeared odd by now, especially since Groul hadn't had any qualms about this back at the Bastion.
His momentary consideration apparently concluded, Ken directed a short inquiry of foreign tongue at U!n'kd|m, earring a rasp in response. It seemed to have been a positive answer, however, as the saurian then commented to the hero, "Yes, it looks like we have time. To be honest, I'd expected this place to be a war zone by now, but it looks like your enemy is a bit slow to pick up on things. Oh well, can't say I'm complaining."
"And you're quite right." he followed up with confirmation of Energon's assessment, "We've narrowed it down to either the wrong time or the wrong level. Not sure which yet. The dark gateway and the nulltime deformer are integrated into one another, so it's difficult to tell if one or the other threw a fit."
"In any case, that explanation probably doesn't do you any good," Ken stated with an audible smirk, "so let me see what I can do to clarify. You already know that your universe isn't the only one around. You call other ones dimensions, we just call them worlds. Makes it easier to differentiate between other places in the multiverse and actual mathematical dimensions. Anyway, in the 15th catalogued, there's a version of Terra that's pretty unique. Or there was, before a certain someone blew it up. Now that I've been there, I can't say it was a bad idea, though."
"Long story short, it's a planet where everything's out to actively kill you - even the atmosphere." Ken chuckled in a sinister manner, "Ever had air attack you? You don't want to see that, trust me. But as I said, blown to monoatomic vapors. While it existed, however, something called a Shade lived there. Vindictive, vicious, vile, nastiest thing you ever did see. As far as we know, they've killed over five thousand other worlds. So I said to myself, 'hey, that'd make a cool weapon.' Since they're not around anymore though, getting one would be tricky. So we do research. Lots of it. Get an idea: go back in time, steal one, mess with its genetics, make more."
"In the end, bad idea of colossal proportions." Ken allowed himself a sigh, "Thought we'd covered everything, and next thing we know, they pull new stuff. Big brawl, I say 'forget this', we run like there's no tomorrow. Sadly, by that time they've already torn into our ride, and we end up here instead of where we wanted. From what I can tell though, none of them managed to hitch a ride, nobody died, and we're all a bit wiser, so I can be happy with that..."
--------------------
In addition to Jake's counterattack, Acanous likely noticed himself in a great deal more trouble than he'd bargained for when a literal tornado blew into the room.
It was a dust devil, and though small, the whirlwind stood as herald of what was to come. Its winds made contact with nothing at all, not even seeking to buffet Acanous, as he might have expected.
Instead, the sands quickly coalesced into the form of Imad Malak - and form the glare in his eyes, Scirocco wasn't at all happy to see a hero here that still drew breath...

There were times when few stood against many, when the striength of will triumphed over striength of arms, when one man's determination could alter the course of history...
This, however, wasn't one of them.
Acanous already diddn't like his odds when Arachnos troops started pouring in like rain to aid the arbiter, but with one of the "Big Four" here in person, the only possible win would be an orbital nuclear bombardment... and Ac couldn't risk that in the middle of a populated city.
He rubbed his bruised chin cautiously.
"Well, I see that the party's over, although I must say I was expecting Ghost Widow. Diddn't think she'd pass up the chance for a tie-breaker"
Hoping to use the conversation as a distraction, Acanous backed towards the shattered window, figuring it was propably the only exit that wasn't swamped with Bane spiders.

((I was under the impression that we were in the shattered remains of Cry's office, with at least one of the walls in the room completely torn down and revealing the outside.))
"Lady Ghost Widow passed from this plane some time ago." Jake said, still grasping his injured arm. He also took note of Scirroco's presence, and, while he knew there would be consequences later due to yet another one of the inner-circle having to make their appearance here, he was thankful for his help.
"Greetings Lord Scirroco." He said aloud, turning his attention to the slowly hovering Acanous.
Despite what he may have hoped, it would take more than witty banter to distract one of Arachnos's top Arbiters, let alone one of the inner-circle. Jake used a teleportation technique to put himself between Acanous and the nearest exit, a single plasma beam aimed at the back of his head.
Acanous by this point should have already been completely drained, as well as fairly seriously injured. For him to avoid such an attack now would be a feat to be beheld.

"Beep... Beep... Beep... Fifteen Seconds to AI Download... Beep..."
Energon X glanced at Ken, giving him an odd look. "Lesse... I've had vegetation, rocks, animals, shadows, raw electricity, pure magic, scrap metal, ghosts, dead flesh animated by both science and magic, extradimensional entities, dimensional echoes and otherselves, gravity, creatures of myth, and more varieties of sentient than I can easily count all attack me, but I can't recall the air ever trying to. Still, I guess I wouldn't want to see that." he responded with a certain dry humour.
He hesitated for a second. "You've integrated your nulltime deformer and dark gateway? Don't they work on conflicting principles?" The blaster shrugged. "Eh, not really my area anyways. If these Shade thingies were so inimical to everything, how are they managing to work up the internal cohesion to pursue you? Wouldn't they just eat one ano..."
A frozen instant, then E-X slapped his gauntlet against his helmet, about where his forehead would have been. "Oyyyyy... PLEASE tell me you didn't... you uplifted them when you weaponized them, didn't you?" He shook his helmet. "Even if you get outta here in the next ten minutes, those things are still going to turn up looking for you. Do you have a spare sheet of hullmetal? I'd like to test something, and I'm assuming you'd prefer that no-one else poked holes in your ship."

Scirocco did not seem amused, his hardened visage a slab of stone. He didn't hesitate even a moment.
Malak's arm shot forward, tendrils of mystic lightning lashing out at Acanous with a crack of thunder, seeking to encase the intruder in a cage of lightning that would render him helpless and easy to dispatch...

"Now that it's powered again, feel free to try." Ken allowed himself a slight laugh, "It is an assembly though, so it might react if you get past the first layer. And yes, I'm sure the things that turned out to be too nasty and destructive to catch will figure out time travel any moment now and come after us."
The saurian then dropped his sarcastic tone, continuing, "Look, the nulltime deformer runs on dakkardim principles, and the Shades never came close. As I've said, what we're worried about right now is that one or more may have latched on when we jumped. That's why I've patrols combing every square nanometer of the hull. Oh, and your enemies of course, but that goes without saying."
"Then again..." Ken remarked in thought, "If they stay nice and quiet, I've probably got the time to fill you in on this stuff. Interested? Or would you just prefer to move along...?"

Bladewing dove towards the warping area of King's Row, having no problem seeing where Bang was...the glowing mask and warping of reality were dead giveaways.
Grabbing the purple crystal, Bladewing began to manipulate it with his magic, sending a stream of raw chaos right at Bang.
"Hey Bang! CATCH!"
With that said, Bladewing wound up and threw the crystal at Bang, giving it greater momentum and speed than the fastest of railgun slugs. If all went well it would reach the jester in moments, endowing him with all the power he once had, and the crystal was also warded, keyed to the one who had originally broken it off of Lanuru's head, it would disrupt or destroy anyone but the original owner, or someone he had given it to willingly.
