Here is my rendition of the one and only Soul Train.

I have to apologize for the length of time it took me to complete this piece. Sorry man! RL stuff took over, and my art ground to a complete halt. Sorry it took me so long to get this done, and I hope you like it.

Comments and constructive criticism are welcome as always.

Very nice! I love the look on the 'citizen's' face

Cool render Sartori! I really like the freak elements.

Commented on DA. But I gotta add, it so cool to see the "people" we know well depicted over and over... It's like watching our own comics franchise... Congrats PB!

*Laughs* Awwww, remember when we used to use real citizens?

Joking aside, great work!

Looks Like a EX.

Nice piece.

I'm a little sad to see that the Juicer isn't sparking, but I'm definitely impressed.
I especially like that everyone's face structure is distinctly different. And that the lighting is dramatic (helps set the mood) without being "extreme!!1!"

Very nice! Excellent job on Soul Train. Love the citizen.

Good jo, Sartori.

I'm not impressed very easily, but that piece does the trick. XD Very awesome!

Critique: It's begging for some effects!

Thank you all for the positive feedback!

Yes, it is begging for effects. Unfortunatley, I'm terrible at that sort of thing. I did try to add a few things, including the electrical arc on the juicer, but in the end I thought my efforts degraded rather than improved the piece. Some day I gotta learn how to do that kind of thing.

Well don't give up, I'd say; but that's only if you're looking for opinions. Get some help/advice from people who know how to do it. Lots of good resources prowling these forums.

I'd be happy to help out with Postwork, if you're open to it. I enjoy the compositing stage of rendering the most, actually. That's when a piece really comes together and gets it's final polish.

Boy, am I ever open to it! PM on its way...

Sartori, if I may say, this is by far my favorite of your pieces to date. It's fantastic! Going back through some of your other pieces, I personally can see how far you've come. Great job!!

And now you'll be getting the added benefit of an assist from Darkjedi. Sweet!

I knew this one was going to rock and it's just going to get better from here. Good job!
