  1. Just one last note. Seems that I've been abit busy with real life lately. Things have been up and down and seeing how there is not alot of connections here with folks I figured only a few would miss me if I left, if I was lucky.

I agree, the second one is really nice. Personally, I'm still recovering from the awesome one you got from Freyals! Talk about your artgasms....

    Yeah, everyone can laugh now!
  3. Legally, I'm not sure. For the most part people share in the credits. Say, you created the character and you want an artist to depict it for you. You had to give all the details of the character to them during the process so the character and all descriptions belong to you. They drew the character so they have control over that 1 depiction, but they don't own the character which means you can commission any other artists to draw the same character. I usually see both people share the image equally. For what I've come to understand, that means that you get permission to post, duplicate, scan the image and the artist tells you the limits if any, and the artist asks you if they can put that character in their portfolio so that they can showcase their talent.

Now, if the character is exactly like a character created in CoH, that is an issue between you and CoH which is a whole different matter.

[edit] If I haven't made my self clear, I apologize. maybe someone else with better communication skills can define it better.
  4. I've updated again so I thought I should post the list and a new piece.

    Flareback

I've updated again. so here's the list:

    1) Igniitus /Igniitus (WIP Waiting on reply)
    2) Ddgryphon /CrimeHawk (Starting)
    3) Quickening /Quickening
    4) Crestent /Crestent
    5) Dirtwolf /Dirtwolf
    6) Starkitten from CoH/ Sassy and/or Rad (If I can, don't have 3D lizard feet...)
    7) Vestansan (waiting on ref)
    8)thrythlind/Kuwiko vs Capt. Mako
    9)pheonyx/crimson hawk
    10)

Yeah, I added 4 because I'm returning what I have been given to me, kindness.
  5. I use to apply to these threads, but my characters were so awesome that they never really got beat.
  6. OK, this time I have put up a WIP. I want some more info from Igniitus before I consider it complete.

    Igniitus

Just to note, I've done more in the way of using CS to create the textures than I have with any other render. I'll have more details once I chat with Igniitus.
  7. And here I thought it was the onions in the cake...
  8. I just wanted to say that a person I knew passed away this weekend and I just found out about it alittle while ago. She was in a bad relationship and I think it has affected me more than I cared to admit.

I'm still working on the 3d projects I have lined up so those will not be affected. Focusing on them will help me get through this dramatic time.

I've only said this because I wanted everyone to understand why I'm feeling a little emo today

Guess they were more aluminum than steel?
  10. congrats! I remember Flareback turning 50. so many candles!
  11. Sorry for the delays folks! I've been busy getting my rights to free speech back from the Gustapo government in this town I live in. Want to live in a peaceful, non-violent, town where you won't get stabbed in the back? Then don't visit any towns with the syllables Kill or een in them.

Ok, on to more fun stuff. I finally got another render done!
This time I have a spider that is suppose to be arachnos type (yeah, I'll work on colors later, I felt rushed.) going up against Patriette.

I tried some more detailing by hand painting the cape and the emblem. If I need to adjust anything, let me know. The spider was a rush along with the posing so I'm not sure that a few tweaks aren't needed.

    Thanks everyone for your patience.
  12. After kickin' my butt in fantasy football, you want a render? I don't know man ...
  13. Thanks Gaderath! Now ... Which wings to buy with the points!

Pheonyx, I have the requests off atm, only because I have a couple of hard projects coming up and I don't know how long it'll take to complete them. I'm trying not to add more because I don't want anyone waiting many months on end for a render. I'll try and take new requests as soon as I can. I'll also update when I finished all my current projects.
  14. And now for some more 3D fun! I now present Ms Paragon.

    Gaderath, I hope you like!

I did this piece thinking that it had to compete against the Soviette piece I did awhile back. And I had to see if I could pull off the throwing a big object pose and all.

And in seeing how I recently had Thor comments made and I saw something funny about Vanilla Ice on a Pinky and the Brain cartoon, I had to have a freaky badguy with armor TRYING to act all spartan (we all know that's annoying as all get out) and have some Ice-Ice-Ice baby wannabe do the commentary. I hope it was enjoyable.
  15. Thanks Piepgrass!

KodiakX, that is one Bad-A mutant! I'm glad I inspired you. the clothing kinda make her look barbaric and cool. Give her a hammer and she'll give Thor a run for his money!
  16. I like the tiny white apron for the ladies....

    New Graver Art!

I understand his delimma and it is really appreciated when friends like you stand up and help out. You're a great friend Star.

And the artwork is great as always.
  18. By all means! That is why I make all my rendered requests downloadable so you can copy them and post them in your gallery or turn them into desktops.
  19. I'm worried about this next piece only because I wanted to try hard to make something great for KodiakX.

    Tural

    Kodiak, I hope you like.
  20. Wow, I just found out that one of my renders made it into the Scoop last week. Thanks to those who helped get it in there. Really, thanks! That is so spirit lifting! Now I GOTTA get back to rendering!
  21. Thanks KodiakX. Sometimes very little info can also inspire someone. I just let my imagination run wild and stuff like this comes out.

Blutto, Yeah I know the lighting might be abit off for being in a jungle, but i wanted to highlight the details of the character because she had tiny details like her white brows and light colored lips that I wanted everyone to see. I had another version with a more darker, tropical tone to the lighting, but the characters features were lost in the shadows. The programs I use for rendering and post work are Poser and Photoshop CS, but I tend to use PS for texture creation instead of post work. Every so often I'll do something after the render but that is not often seeing how I still have some PS learning to do. This is still a hobby to me and I'll never claim to be a professional renderer any time soon but i try to create the best I can.
