I like the recipes, and the stock reports on wentworths, and the black market. Seeing as I am both a villain and a hero, I need the information from both to make informed decisions about what to sell and how much to sell them for. thank you.
[/ QUOTE ]
As the person behind the recipes, I thank you for your "Kudos". And I thank you for your post, welcome to the community tlitshel.
[/ QUOTE ]
As someone who actually makes these recipes each week I look forward to seeing what you will give me each week.

Thanks!
I was hoping people were enjoying it as much as I was doing it.
Heya Flareback!
Just wanted to chime in here with an echo to what Athyna said. I am open to any idea that you may have honestly and I really am only in the second posting of the fanart section of the scoop. If ya have any suggestions for artists please send em my way.
On the selection of the artists you'll notice that Juggertha is actually from Korea and David Nakayama is I believe from Japan. Scarfy is good ole America and i believe Florida wiich would make her east siiiiiide? :P
I promise I'll go for the west coast this time heheh. I have some Phillippino flavor lined up as well so you see I am all over the scope of things within art and it has nothing to do with the in-crowd. Besides when you're an artist that means for the fanart section you are already in the 'in-crowd'. It's all in the language of art my friend and if you wanna know where my preference for art is you need only look through my gallery and see the versatility of artists represented there.
I have the intention to bring the same diversity to the Scoop. Again if you have any suggestions please don't hesitate to send me a PM. I am always open to feedback and suggestions!
Thanks man!

Welcome to the new century, I think you'll like it here. Please be aware that in this media age that most, if not all, countries allow for something similar to "fair use" or "fair dealing". You are allowed to copy a work so long as it is not for gain, and less than 10% of a work.
Again, welcome to the internet age.

First off, while my comment (above) was laced heavily with sarcasm and dry humor, I didn't stoop to name calling. If you've looked at some of my posts, you will see that I have a somewhat abrasive writing style. This is part of my charm. As Lady_Athyna has said, sometimes I do post "heatedly". Out of respect for her, this will be my last post about this discussion I will make.

All I was saying, Snow_baller, is that if NCSoft is linking to the Community Scoop thing, they as a company should have a disclaimer stating it is not company done. I realize that copyrighted images can be used blah blah blah as you so nicely pointed out.

Had you chosen better phrasing, the misunderstanding might not have occured. I could not tell from your practically non-existant post history what context you were posting from, so I let your words speak for themselves. They came across as harsh, and ignorant of the fact that a lot of avatars on most forums are taken from other sources.
Apparently I was wrong. I will freely admit that.
I've personally met with some artists that would use what you said in your previous post to launch a lawsuit. Needless to say I don't like them.
[ QUOTE ]
I don't come to these forums very often, and if you are representative of the calber of person that represents the Community Scoop as Badge FAQ editor, I guess I won't be back again. Give you a title, and it goes to your head. Besides, I've come to the conclusion it was all to get your post count up. Size does matter, eh, Snow_Job?
[/ QUOTE ]
Careful when you assume something. I had that title since the beginning of the year, well before the Scoop started being planned. The regulars of these forums know that I have my own posting style that seems harsh to those that don't know it, and even to some that do. I also tend not to tolerate those that I think are acting like fools, either in real life or in games.
I have little need to pad my post count, and personally I could do without it. If I wanted to pad out my post count, I would stick almost exclusively to the forum games section.
One last morsel of thought: If you felt that you were wronged, you could have shown you were better by making a polite reply, rather than resorting to name calling. Instead you've shown that you are no better yourself than you judge me to be. Please think on that as continue to read and post here.

Snow_Globe, I apologize for my post and personal attacks.
I felt slighted and the welcome to the new century and internet age were taken as personal attacks on me.
I am sorry for the misunderstanding and hope that you can accept my apology for what it is and not hold it against me.
And the moral of the story is...
What's 3 across and 6 down?

Accepted, there are enough misunderstandings in the world as it is.
Those who know me know that I'm quick to anger, forgive AND forget. I just take a little getting used to, that's all .

Both are slang terms found in-game and on the forums. 3 across is a powerful yet fragile character type, while 6 down is a pet.

Ah, it's not a matter of trivia, but a matter of opinion. That said, I will argue that a Blaster can actually fare quite well in melee.
Though 6 down is ambiguous. Yes, Dark Servants are pets. I sometimes refer to them as Jeffie, but something tells me that's not close enough.

Eep! Well, I guess it shows depending on one's outlook, the crossword is of moderate difficulty.
Yes, but as a search of "+glass +cannon" over all these forums for a period of 5 years reveals a general consensus about the term. It might not be entirely accurate, but it is a common term here.
The dark servant's nickname is -frequently used- on these forums. Ask anyone in the Mastermind, Corruptor, or Defender sections.

I'll just wait for the answers on Friday. If not for this puzzle, I wouldn't have made this snazzy avatar!
Oh, I flound the answer... Thanks Snowbie.
Just my two cents worth, and I understand that this is all it is... But IMHO shouldnt someone with a title as prominent as Badge FAQ Editor be expected to rely on a little more professionalism than excuses such as, Everyone who knows me, knows I have a harsh style? Sometimes the people seeking answers dont know you at all, and shouldnt be subjected to harshness in any case. And furthermore, if you can dish it out, you ought to be able to take it.

Why?
Those custom titles are given to regular players just like you and me. What makes them different? Why does a title given for just caring about an aspect of the game enough to do something for it mean someone has to be yelled at or held to a higher standard than anyone else?
Sorry, that's just another post count argument and has no real basis.
Just my two cents worth, but dredging up an argument that was over a couple days ago and ended with apologies and no hard feelings, is somewhat pointless.

Just my two cents, but Lemur has COOTIES.
It's a public health concern. He's a registered carrier of cooties.

Why? Because that person is by default placing him/herself in a position of presumed authority and admiration, not to mention the "public" eye. I didnt say they have to let themselves be yelled at. But there are better ways to handle things than being "harsh".
I think you're reading way too much into the forum titles.

That person did no such thing. Those nifty little titles were given out simply as a "Hey, thanks for doing that for the community!" Nothing more.
Ordinarily, this is where someone with a higher level of administrative priveleges would intervene.

So far this discussion reads true, while some opinions have been expressed there has been no factual misnomers.
Titles are granted as an appreciation and point of contact reference. While we hope that those who contribute to our forum resources will maintain a level of demeanor, if they are not breaking forum rules we have no greater expectation then this.
Sometimes the best format for criticism is to show what you feel they are doing well, then making a suggestion for additional implementation. Which I feel many people have done nicely in this area.
Under the circumstances I think the group running "The City Scoop" has done an amazing job creating a new source of information for people to enjoy and receiving and implementing the feedback.

I was content to leave well enough alone, but here is my take on the title:
I spent over a week compiling the Badge FAQ, I spent another making sure it was accurate. It is about 12 pages long in MSWord. The title was a "thank you".
I did not recieve admin or deity-powers on these forums. People can presume anything, that does not make it accurate.
I'll give you an example from years ago, I was a sub-contractor to a large cable company to install high-speed internet. I had to dress up in a business casual attire. One time I was installing in a computer in Radio Shack, and someone who mistook me for a Radio Shack employee even though I had a totally different ID tag visible. When I told them that I did not work for Radio Shack, they got mad and went to the manager and complained. I laughed all day.
I don't work here, I made a tool to help my fellow players and was given a "badge". One that I must point out will disappear when I reach 5,000 posts (Renowned). Given the amount of people assuming I must somehow be more responsible thanks to a tiny bit of text, that will not come soon enough. Just wait until I hit "Forum Cartel" status .
The title is akin to the gold titles given out by developers at the various events, nothing more.

Besides, what has been said above hardly needs admins to protect anyone .

I try, and I would like to think that if anyone felt that I had stepped over the line, that they would let me know.
I will point out that if Kellis hadn't fully quoted me and sent me a PM, that I most likely would have revised what I posted. On the other hand, after I get fully quoted, there is no point in a retraction .
