They are not nearly as impressive as the rocket boots, but the piston boots look cool, even if they don't animate
This is Powerswitch.

They animate with superjump. I think there's a jet of steam that comes out or something
Goodbye, I guess.

The piston boots will animate with any jump, flight, or fall but they do not emit a jet stream, unfortunately. Instead, they produce a large dust-cloud around your character's feet (which may or may not cause a slight decrease in your FPS) when he/she lands on solid ground.
An interesting feature of these boots is that the dust-cloud will take on the hue of the boots' primary color. This may make the effect more or less noticeable, depending on the color you use. Pink boots will emit a relatively vibrant pink-ish cloud (that albeit looks pretty odd), whereas a pair of black boots will emit a darker, harder-to-see (although understandably more realistic) shade of dust.
I find piston boots to be well-suited to heavy duty, more physically substantial characters with Jump and Flight travel powers, seeing as they should make some kind of heavy impact when they land on solid terrain. I rather enjoy them on my Tank, Everblaze. Can't wait to get them on my Stoner Brute, who's got a Huge body type.
_D
P.S.: It may be of consequence to note that it seems when your character is jumping repetetively (holding down your jump key, going straight from one jump into another), the dust-cloud will not be produced. It appears that it will only work when you jump and let go of your jump key sometime before you land.

Thanks for the info, had no clue it was based off the boot color....
*wonders what Dragon Berry would look like with Dragon wings*
Here is Blood Wolffe with Piston Boots, Anime armor, and Crab or Wolf or Giraffe Spider helmet, I can't remember the name.

Front
Back
Boots bought on the market, Anime armor by veteran's reward, and helmet by CoV pre-order.
Edit: The only thing I don't like is that without sitting down and really thinking about it I have to make the costume green because the helmet has one color option.
My buddy Katyousha bought rocket boots from WW yesterday, I took a couple screenshots pf him:

My very first hero and lvl 50 character, Shadow Blaze, is seeing use again with the dawn of the STF. Well during one of the runs, I got a Tech Wing recipe drop and decided to buy the rocket boot recipe and upgrade her old Runic Energy Containment (REC) Suit. The end result was this. After that I decided to make a new costume that she story-wise starts using AFTER Kraticax is unsealed. I still wanted to use the new costumes pieces and figured she would repair some of the parts of her broken REC suit and use them to increase her strength. Here is the front and back views.
I've given Sun Surfer his new tech suit too.
Gone from spandex to high tech tight armor with roct boots here
grrr i hate you... now I have to post my Cherubic Wings... brb.
ooh, tech wings and rocket boots!!! Nice!
man, I am jealous. I only got a costume piece on one person so far, and it would look stupid on them.
Lady Cuyethri
It was a peaceful day of dealing with miscreants in Grandville and helping other villains and villainesses alike with their SMASHing and SLASHing and FISTing, etc. when the Tech Wing recipe was found. With 8 mil inf, I bought the Fairy Wing recipe and sold the Tech Wing for 8 mil to make up for it: I would've traded Tech for Fairy anyway, so I made use of the Fairy wings and gave Lady Cuyethri's 'unleashed' form a little sprucing up. Thus, that became the result.
Thanks Hm... think I should take a crack at drawing her?
That'd by interesting.

Scarf_Girls Official Kid Brother!
As you saw the other day Spino, we had the same idea about our "bee heroes".
I created this character a long time ago and was waiting for bugs or insect wings to be implemented in the game.
Now he can live... and Fly.
