You have yourself a personal character. Most artists I know have one. It's a generic model with a personality, who you enjoy drawing and is the default for pretty much everything you do.
Melanie is mine. She has avatars in CoH and CoV both, but she's just a character that I enjoy drawing a lot.
You're not weird, it's standard artist behavior.

I go through phases where I'll stick to one character for a few months, then switch to anther for a while. I seem to draw Dragonberry a LOT XD

nah, I tend to draw Turbo-Ski a lot when I doodle. Sarix and Reaver not so much.

Well, there's this one character I'm particularly fond of(my own creation, and nothign to do with Co*), and when I get the urge to draw, its usually the urge to draw him.
Yes, I do draw other things, but my books are nearly filled with nothing but him, and my walls are slowly running out of space as I color picture after picture(selecting the ones I deem exceptional). And most of what I draw lately is really just practice - if I see a fun/diffacult pose I'll attempt it, or if I feel I need to be doing better at a certain body part - so he's really sort of my generic model that I do anything I need to do with, instead of saying "this is so-and-so from the mystical land of here-and-there. He's out for revenge on so-and-so for doing this-and-that"(this isn't to say the guy I'm talking about doesn't have a back story, but liek I said I'm just much fonder of him).
So yeah... Am I like the town weirdo now?... Like a stalker with a lot of pictures of the same person...
