Sirs,
What is Stateman and the Paragon Times thinking about?
Don't they realise they are endangering the lives of heroes by publishing this information? We should not be handing out information helpful to the enemy in our national papers!

Angry of Independance Port
This is a song about a super hero named Tony. Its called Tony's theme.

So what's with these "Lonbgow" characters? Some sort of new covert (well...not anymore) division of Longbow? Or maybe they're a bunch of wannabes...
The name Longbow was already taken.
It was actually meant to be 'Longbrau', which is Longbow's beer division, but a sub-editor screwed it up.

No offense to anyone but is it me or is Stateman's speech sounding something along the lines of what President Bush gave to the public before invading Iraq.

It's not just you. For crying out loud, who writes Freedom Phalanx's dialog, Kyle Sampson? "Balance of power"? "Weapon of mass destruction?" Flat-out lies about how we don't know "yet" if Statesman's brother in law is "building a rapid strike force"? "If we fail to get the job done in the Rogue Isles, Arachnos will certainly follow us here?"
[/ QUOTE ]
No, no. If States were taking a page from the Bush playbook, then to fight Arachnos, he'd be sending heroes to take over Middle Earth.
[/ QUOTE ]
/em spit take.....Buggers, you almost made me ruin my puter with that statement Gotterdamung. Unfortunaltly, that statement is way too close to the truth
Pfft. See, this is the problem with Heroes ... it isn't a doomsday device, it's for making MOAR PIES!!!
Silly heroes. Pies are for villains.
Nice radio coverage! But Statesman sounded a bit too like Darth Vader for my tastes...wasn't Patrick Warburton available? Or was that Jack Emmert's voice!?
Sister Psyche's voice, on the other hand, sounded great!
All in all, W00t! And thanks for a new article! Hope it's the first of many, Arctic Sun. I missed you.

That's an interesting article....since I arrested ARBITER SANDS last week....who the hell let him out?
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh, please. Arachnos invented the emergency teleporter. Their emergency teleporter system has so much longer range and penetration than yours that it's not funny. Besides, where'd you have him teleported to, when you arrested him? The Zig? Oh, please. The single most realistic thing about City of Heroes is the level of competence displayed by Paragon City's most visible "public/private partnership." The Zig can't even keep the Clockwork King locked up, so like heck they're going to keep a top Arachnos government official locked up, one whose partners (like him) have the power to go back and edit history.
Or maybe the US traded him back to Arachnos for Manticore, in a spy exchange. That'd make some sense.

No, Dr. Girlfriend's voice is much deeper and sexier.
She's not even related to Lord Fanny, though it might be a closer guess.

No, but there is an uncanny resemblance between Statesman and DJ Otto Plair... (perhaps it explains Otto's attitude)

It just dawned on me that Lord Recluse is Stateman's brother-in-law. So some how all the heroes of Paragon City are getting involved and risking life and limb over some family spat.

Statesman sounded like Shao Kahn from Mortal Kombat to me, which was a bit awkward. It sounds unnatural in an awkward way, but considering that Statesman indirectly gets his powers from Zeus, I suppose it should be fitting for someone that's practically a demigod. Maybe it's just the echo effect that makes it feel strange.
Sister Psyche's VA is alright. I feel like it's a little off from what I would've expected, but imagination is rarely something that can be duplicated in real life. Even with this feelings, I can't think of any other way for her to possibly sound that would be better suited to her personality and characteristics.
I was going to post a half-hearted gripe (in another topic, of course) over the lack of anything about Sister Psyche in the invention system (considering pretty much everyone else has at least one item based on them, including Malaise), but her prominence in the "news announcement" makes me feel like a jerk for it, so that's dropped :P .
All in all, thanks for all the hard work. The way I see things shaping, I expect that I'll be much more interested in CoH in the coming months than I have been for the past year.
This is Statesman. You think he's gonna trust a bunch of rookies? (Yes, level 45-50 characters... like I said, this is Statesman.)
Like Siren's Call, this is just a bit of misdirection. I'm sure he plans to go in himself (with a few of the Phalanx, or maybe not) and kick Stefan's [censored] while Spider-Boy and his lieutenants are hunting for those eight diversions. Of course, being Statesman, he'll screw up somehow and actually need those eight to save the day. Then he'll grumble about it like an old man.
In closing, I'd like to thank Jack and all the folks at Cryptic for the thoroughly inspirational way they've portrayed the setting's flagship character. I wouldn't have made this post if not for them.

Yay for the new Paragon Times article, keep them coming!
[ QUOTE ]
The Paragon Times covers Statesmans Task Force.
PARAGON CITY, Rhode Island, April 30 A stalwart Statesman addressed the heroes of Paragon City today at an early morning press conference in front of City Hall in Atlas Park. He was accompanied by several members of the Freedom Phalanx, including Numina and Sister Psyche, and called the conference to discuss the ongoing threat of the Rogue Isles.
