DM/Regen i9 Build

Crawler

I've been trying to work up a possible i9 build (when/if I can find or buy the particular IOs). I realize that this is mainly speculation at this point and it will depend on how rare/common the particular IOs are in Wentworths.

I am hoping that I can enlist some of the more math oriented people to help me with what kind of set bonuses this build wil end up with. I've used Iakona's excel sheet along with ParagonWiki in trying to lay out the bonuses but all the +3s, +2.5, etc. just doesn't mean a lot to me as I am not a numbers person.

So without further mumbling...

Now that the easy part is done...
Here are the set bonuses from the above slotting.
Numina's Convelesence: +Regen 3 (x5), +HP 2.5 (x4), +Heal 3
Doctored Wounds: +Res(Fear) 2 (x2), +Res(Fire/Cold) 2 (x2), Heal 2 (x2), Recharge 2 (x2), Res(Toxic/Poison) 2 (x2)
Mako's Bite: Res(Immob) 3 (x3), +HP 2 (x3), +Damage 3 (x2), Res(Hold) 3, Def(ranged) 3
Crushing Impact: Res(Immob) 2 (x2), +HP 1.5 (x2), +ToHit 2 (x2), Recharge 2 (x2)
Glimpse of Abyss: Duration(Fear) 2.5, +HP 2.5, +ToHit 2.5
Sciroco's Dervish: +Regen 2.5 (x2), Res(NegEnergy) 2.5, +ToHit 2.5
Timespace Manipulation: +Regen 2 (x2), +HP 2
Devastation: +Regen 3, +HP 3, +Damage 3
Aegis: +Runspeed 2.5

--------------Total Bonuses-----------------------------
+regen 24
+HP 26.5
+Heal 7
+Damage 9
+ToHit 9

Bonuses for unique IOs
+35 Regen, +25 Recovery

Now, my thinking -and I could be completely wrong - is that I have a nice number of +health bonuses with several +Regeneration bonuses and seeing that is what I do as a regen scrapper that should make him that much more durable. He is still susceptible to Alpha shots due to having very few Resistances and Defense.

Can anyone help me figure out how the actual amount of regen with and without Instant Heal on and what his final Health will work out to (He currently has all the health Accolades).

Any general comments on the build are welcome as well. I used to PVP with him quite a bit but I have another scrapper I am levelling to take his place so that is why I dropped Focus Accuracy for the Darkness line.

Thanks in advance.

I typed them into the export text. As far as I know, no one has done a character builder with IO sets yet. With all of the information about them out there I wouldn't evern know where to begin plugging in that kind of data. More power (and respect) to the creators of these programs that figure it out.

You cannot slot more than one of any type of stealth IO into your entire character. This means exactly one run, jump, fly, OR teleport, but no more than one. The stealth IO's also last 120 seconds after the toggle drops or click is activated. An alternative to slotting passivly is to slot in sprint and click it on and off as necessary.

Also the chance for build up proc is quite a rare proc, not particularly useful unless you use dark blast in your main attack chain, even then I would rather use the slot elsewhere.

You could log on to the test server to check the bonuses yourself, and I recalled Iakona's spreadsheet having a page that listed the bonuses and what they were ingame, though I could be wrong. If you still need the information when I get home I'll check up on some of the bonuses and post them.

I have no opinion of the build, but I thought I'd share my format for doing I9 Builds.

I did the same thing you did, except I use the long export version. That way you can see how many of which sets at a glance you have. and you can put the bonuses right underneath your final slotting.

This is how I've been posting them:

I think it looks cleaner, and am on a personal campaign to get people to post builds like this, that way I don't have to think as much.

Nice to see I'm not the only one going insane over how these pan out btw...

Oh, I thought each one was a rare. Well that's easy enough then I can just drop three of them . It may change the Timespace bonuses slightly but nothing big.

Ok i have a question, what is this new lingo?...regen 2.5? x3 or regen 3? Are you not using the game interface?

I quit using that paragonwiki stuff, and just take the numbers from the set from the game on test.

Sciro in the game just states 10%.
Devastation is 10%.
Serendipity is 4%.

Just put in for a bid, and pull up one to bid on, then just write the numbers of the down you are interested.

is that what they way you abbreviate means?

Will that help in calc your regen rate?

That's what happens when you do stuff like this on a slow day at work where you can't access the actual game and rely on a combination of paragonwiki and Iakona's excel sheet. that is where the 2.5 and the regen 3 comes from.

I'll jump on tonight and see if I can buy a few to get the actual percentages.

Don't buy.....bid...don't bid, pretend to place a bid.

Much easier this way.

one thing I did note, that you only need say three Numa for the Bonus or 3 Miracles.

If you don't need recharge or other attributes, A simple heal IO can add almost 40%.

So you can use two Numina (one Proc and one Heal) two Miracle (one Proc and one Heal) Then one Heal IO, and see what your slots do, and move one if you need to. Don't assume you HAVE to use a set power if you don't need to. The same can said for a recharge IO.

I checked Iakona's spreadsheet and there is a page in there that explains how much each tier represents in ingame percentages, the page is called "Set Bonus Descriptions".
