Try a Elec/Fire Brute. lots of flash from teh elec primary and teh fire secondary is liek playign a regen.
well it depends on how you like to play
personally I like my Mind/emp controller, the mind set is kind of a jerk set, you lock them in their own mind and either defeat them outright, hurl them off of buildings, or confuse them to kill/arrest their friends and/or boss. I started a trick arrow archery defender and thats kind of fun, slow to get started but still fun. I'm looking into making a grav/radiation controller because the concept of throwing radioactive buicks at people pleases me.
Its really all about how you like to play. tell us more and more suggestions will come.
No offense, but this should go in the Player's Question section, not the Guide section. You'll probably get more responses there. However, you may want to give a little more information about what you like. Melee or team support? Solo or team? How simple or complex? Storm Defenders and Controlers have a lot of flashy powers, but are hard to play well. Fire/Energy Tanks have a lot of bright powers, but are more survivable.

Whats fun for someone else you may HATE. Just try random things and see what you like. Controllers dont solo well, and almost always need to team. You dont do damage, you are in it for buffing/debuffing for the most part.

Fine, I'll play along. For team builds, I would vote for earth/storm. It is like a walking natural disaster. You have earthquakes, quicksand, freezing rain, snow storms, rocks jutting out of the ground to trap and disorient things, hurricanes, tornados, lightning storms, and winds all at your disposal to unleash on the baddies. The only down side, is that they are slow soloers. I think fire/fire blasters are also fun for all the fire explosions. fire/fire tanks could be similarly fun, just much less damage with much more survivability. If soloing is your bag, then consider a scrapper of some sort. They all can be fun, just depends on what you like to look at. I can think of many other fun builds too. To name a few: rad/rad defenders, dark/dark defenders, mind/ controllers, katana/regen scrapper, just to name a few.
Keep in mind, these are all just MY opinions, and may not be much fun for you.

That is so far from the truth its not even funny. My main is an Ill/Kin troller and I have a Ill/rad and a Fire/kin. I have had ZERO problems soloing with these toons.
Trollers solo just fine especially with phantom army

I have an ill/kin troller myself. She isnt exactly a solo machine. Sure, she can solo, but its a pain in the butt to do so.
Not all trollers get PA, only 1 does. =P Even with 2 acc and 3 dam, they aint all that great. You think all trollers solo fine? Take my 37 grav/emp. She has a total of 1 actual attack. The rest holds and heals. She cant solo worth a damn. Takes a couple hours to do a short mish on herois. So dont go telling the OP all trollers can solo like a scrapper. Not hardley. (I know you didnt say those words, but its how you are making it come accorss)

For someone who posted in the wrong forum, and is new to this game, you're being much too cheeky for your own good.
He wasn't commanding you to do it. He was asking. It helps not to act like you have a chip on your shoulder, here or in real life. No one owes you anything.
Also, I agree with comments on Elec/Fire. Good Aoe, good defensive balance, and all the elec melee knockdown synergizes with burn.
I'd also suggest Dark Miasma defenders/corruptors, Fire/EM blasters, and most scrapper builds as well.

I highly recommend you try an Assault Rifle/Ice Manipulation Blaster. I can see that character fitting you to a 'T'. Repentant has written a fantastic guide on how to build such a character here. Ignore the sarcastic tone that implies this is a poor combo. It is arguably the best in the game.

Does a fire/storm troller do more damage later? Cause I have one and he is lvl 11 and the most damage he does is like 4.... LOL

On the hero side, I found my elec/elec blaster was a blast to play (pun intended). True, blasters are not for eveyone, and they are squishy as squishy can be but at the same time no other hero AT is as much as an adrenaline rush to play. The are the epitome of "do onto others before they do it to you" and the ultimate glass cannons.
Just the fact you can do damage that leaves even scrappers jelous but will be face-planted in a seconds notice if you don't pay attention to what you are doing adds a whole new perspective.

Yeah people need to lay off the "lets find the flaws in everyones post and point them out" perspective.
Anyways for a fun build IMO is a dmg dealer with alot of AoE's.
Try any kind of
Fire/* blaster.
Spines/* scrapper.

Maybe its your playstyle but the three trollers I listed ill/kin, ill/rad and fire/kin rock solo or on teams. Others I have not played hence they are not listed.

You've heard lots of things, because there are lots of good fun builds out there. We really need to know more about your preferred playstyle before we can be a lot of help.
Here are some blaster sets I've enjoyed for different playstyles:
Fire/Energy: A straight-forward DPS-oriented blaster with strong blapper tendencies. The blast sets usually have a secondary effect on the attacks, and Fire/ gets a DoT for MORE damage. /Energy as a secondary gets you Build Up early and it's a real boon, letting you one-shot minions at the lower levels. /Energy also adds great melee attacks, including the dreaded Total Focus.
Electric/Fire: I've only played this one to 12th level, but so far it's a gross AoE blapper. Electric/ gets 2 early AoE attacks, and /Fire adds plenty more, including an Endurance-mitigation tool which you will NEED. You will die a lot due to the aggro of an entire spawn of almost dead enemies until you learn what you can and can't do (and re-learn again at every new level), but you will also make a lot of teams go DAAAAAMMN!
Electric/Devices: A good stand-off blaster with some very useful tools in the secondary. No Build Up, but Targeting Drone + Aim + Zapp = dead minion or VERY hurt LT. Slot for EndRed on Targeting Drone and Cloaking Device and never turn them off.
Ice/Ice: Poorly-resisted damage type with a solid single-target attack chain, up to 3 holds (1 of them kinda sucks), and some more controller-ish powers. Played right, it's a very safe blaster IMO.
There are as many playstyles as there are players, but only 35 different blaster set combos. Read some guides and go try them out.
