*Unbeknownst to the pirates but knownst to us, a cadre of ninjas is quietly hijacking the sub from underneath the pirates. Lets watch the hilarity.*

Unbeknownst to the universe, the sub is really a subaquatic alien lifeform that is currently in it's larval stage.

Ah but truely this is a case of everyone thinking they are either ninjas or pirates and really are knights and bards and they have fallen into a wishing well of many worlds in which they are transported into the belly of a leviathan that is chock full of gigantic uber magical items. Only, the problem is that they can't get the stuff out because it's too heavy. So they luckily find the +10 flaming sword of whatever-his-face-was(+15 Vs Undead) and they cut the belly on accident which causes the leviathan to heave out the heros with what little booty they got! Cool, huh? Boy I love magical item eating leviathans!
But such is the nature of magic illusion-y wishing wells, as they are really inside a giant whale, and are going to become real boys!
Wait.... 
Unbeknownist to everyone, Witty is actually the Eggman...
which makes the Submarine the Walrus!
A space-alien, human-eating, magic-enchanted, pirate-loving Walrus!
