You guys are all awesome and I know you won't smack me down if I vent a little about some of the crap going on lately.

I know a lot of you are aware I got my tablet for my b-day which was basically a replacement for the one my dog chewed up as a puppy. I have been without one for about 6 years now and I was really excited to get it. But alas, it was DOA. I have been dealing with the manufacturer and retailer and because I'm in Canada, a seperate distributer to get a replacement. Finally after a month, they told me to send it back to them under the RMA number they gave me and they would test it to make sure it is defective and then send me another one.

Ok so that's taken care of now and I'm in the process of waiting which is extremely aggrivating.

Some of you know that I hurt my arm at work a while back. Well apparently I injured it a lot worse then originally thought and I still have limited use of it. The time off I had to take to go in for doc appointments and theropy and all that led to my dismissle from my job. Nice right? The base injury occured at work and they let me go because of abscences. Unfortunately I couldn't really say much about it because I was under the 90 probationary period where they can let you go without reason. So now, I'm jobless right before the holidays and I won't be able to find a job until after Christmas because everyone hired holiday help a week before I was let go. What a way to screw someone over.

So basically it comes down to being broke, unhappy and in pain. I can't draw because it aggrivates my arm too much and sends surges of pain all the way to my shoulder. If I get my tablet back before my arm is actually better, I won't likely be able to use it. Even typing hurts after a while.

Case in point, Hexy is PO'd!

Sorry to hear about your setbacks. Sounds like what I went through 15 years ago. I'm a technical person and at one job I too was let go right at christmas. Back then I was miserable and alone. well, I THOUGHT I was alone. I did have friends. During that time I spent my extra time hanging with them. (LOTS of extra time....) They told me everything was going to be ok, that I would get better, and that I will find a job.

Guess what, they were right! Eventually I felt better, I found a better job and I still had friends. Everything was great. Even the job who fired me because I injured my back lifting a 300 lbs printer went bankrupt. I was happy.

So things may look bad right now, but the bad time won't last forever. It WILL get better.

For now, I'll give you a hug and hopefully that'll help.

Sorry to hear about that, Hexy. I hope that they are at least paying your medical bills, since the injury occured on the job.

Best of luck to you Hexy. I'm sure you'll land on your feet in no time at all. In the meantime hang in there and make the best of it.

In my country, no company can fire an employee if he hurts himself at work.
On the contrary, they have to pay him his regular paychecks while he recovers from his accident at home.

Wow, I'm sorry you're going through all this, especially at this time of year. Here's sending positive thoughts and energies your way in hopes that 2007 will begin far better than 2006 is ending.

I live in Canada, no medical bills.

And I know alone, these things wouldn't be such a big deal, it's just that they keep happening one ontop of another. I already had enough going wrong in my life, I didn't need a new pile.

I get pretty upset when something goes wrong that I had planned not to go wrong, and when twelve things happen at once, I have a tendency to wanna shut down. Only the constant nudging of those who care reminding me that things will be ok gets me going again.

So, as has been said before, the greatest thing I can tell you is that things will be ok. And for good measure, /hugs for you too.

Sorry to hear about that Hexy, remeber no matter how bad it gets that it will eventually get better. (you have to have that kind of stuff hapen to make you appreciate the good times)

Actually, yeah, if I'm afraid something is going to go wrong, I like to think about what I'd do if it happened. Contingency planning, I guess you'd call it.

You're not the only one. Most people at some point or another plans for something to go wrong. It's kind of the "what if" factor.
