What's a tablet do? I've always heard it helps with inking and coloring, but I don't really know what it -is-.
Mine is like this
Basically, it just allows you to do everything you would with a mouse, except it acts like a pen. For the artist, who is used to pen/pencil, it makes drawing much easier.
Very nice like number 2 the best!

Photoshop is a good program to use with a Wacom tablet.

Try Pagecomputers.com. I got mine from there, for about $250 -- for a 6x8 Wacom Intuos3, which generally run for much more.
I don't know much about tablets but this one seemed decent for a decent price, $90 for a 6X8 tablet.
The 4X5 wacom was about 10 bucks more and it had a pitifully small drawing area. I figured that since I don't know them, I should try out the larger tablet and if I don't like it, return for the smaller wacom.
So far it works pretty good even tho I'm not used to it.

Well, I have been browsing the art forum for quite some time, but never got around to posting anything.
Yesterday I got a tablet though, so
now I thought I'd post some quick sketches!
Fiddling around with photoshop, and trying to get used to the tablet.
