I guess being a really cool version. I thought I had hit on the best version when I first made the toon.

Two things I'm noticing about the drawn picture:
1. He doesn't seem to have much of a mustache. I mean, I can see it, but it's barely visible.
2. He's a bit slimmer than the actual version. That might help out.
Just a bit of a start... I think.
I think GR is right. Just slim down the character at the tailor shop. Maybe try replacing the VanDyke beard with a Goatee. I like the costume paterns but maybe replace the metallic pants with tights and replace the gloves and boots with Bands and ditch the patterns on them. Perhaps even make them white instead of blue. I like to offset colors to make them stand out more. I also prefer for top and bottom tights to match if they're going to be the same color and pattern (or similar pattern). But, that's just me. Your mileage may vary.

Yeah, I don't get it. I really like ST's costume as-is. You can change it around a little, but it's still pretty good. After all, Ultimate Spider-Man looks like he always has, just younger than the main one. Ultimate Hawkeye was easy to modernize, because his old outfit was ridiculous. ST doesn't have this problem.

Personally, I think that his old costume depicts him just fine. No real need to change man - you hit it right the first time (kind of how I feel about Juggy).
...agree with everyone else...I like em as is. in regards to "ultimate" (marvel) version I would say the pic drawn by celtic and your screenie are pretty durn close.
on a side note I do like the version that Ironik came up with as well...is it ultimate? no more so than the suit you currently have imo~

Well, here's my idea. Ultimate kinda (to me) implies a more realistic take on a superhero outfit than spandex. Now, I agree, I think that Static Thunder's original outfit is perfect, a la Spidey, and probably doesn't really need to be changed for what he is. Now go back, make the character young and angsty, and dress him in leather and lightning. That's pretty ultimate. Perhaps I will do a sketch of the idea in my head.

Thanks guys. I guess I wanted to see if others felt the same as I do. I think I hit Static's costume right the 1st time. I have played with it and can never seem to change it into something better.
