HemilyTiger (WIP, WIP it good!)
*Blank stare.*
I have not words...
For how neat that looks. :O
*drools*
Rox will so be getting one of these....
Graver, that looks freaking awesome. Just wanted to throw that out there. :P
Dang, mucho impressive.
I guess that when my art rolls around, you're going to need to make Imp's hand the size of M1A1 tanks, then. Correct?
@TheImperial
I like Hem's button! =^_^=
That is going to be another wonderful pic Graver! Just one question...is she supposed to be jumping in the air and just letting her sword dangle below her? Or is she balancing on the sword like on top of a pole or something. Because it is pretty much centered right below her bodymass when I first saw your rough sketches I though it was a flag pole she had climbed.
Oh, and.....
*moaaaaaaans for Graver*

He mentioned something about a tree I bet you she's sitting on a limb. Took me a while to figure that one out though.
I too thought the shot could have easily went with her balancing on that sword. Either way, a tree it shall be.
As for Big Breasts you're welcome to leave them for me m8.

Oh, and thanks for noticing the hard work on the breasts I do so hate supper inflated breasts (they just look weird). Besides that, from what I could tell from the screen shots, Hem's has large breasts... not supper large, ginormus, or emergency flotation devices for the crew and passengers of a small airline, and in CoH, I'm fairly certain large = fairly modest in all other worlds. Beyond that, when I think tiger, I think lean spring like muscle mass... not fat... unless anyone out there's seen a fat tiger, 'cause I never have. Since breasts is pretty much all fat, on a tiger girl, they'd be fairly trimmed down and lean like the rest of her.

Hems actually has the slider almost all down to minimum, she's not big breasted
the drawing is looking awesome so far!
OOOOO that's looking SO GOOD!!! The little badge is TOO CUTE!!!
It's *almost* as good as Hems' avatar
And I think the skirt looks fine you weird uber super compulsive person!
*hands Graver the golf club in order to beat back Feral*
Graver,
Thanks for answering my hand/feet question so thoroughly. I think I may just start drawing bigger hands/feet.
About the latest pencil I love it but I have one peive. The sword she is wearing seems to be a katana . Katans are worn with the blade up (Europeen sword were worn with the blade down) Therefore the scabbard should be arcing the other way. Now it looks like as if the katana had been worn blade down.
Sorry I know I am being too picky it is the kendoka in me speaking.
Otherwise this is great love the idea itself and I am looking foward to see the background.

Okay, time for an update here. I was truly wanting to have the pencils done by the end of tonight, but that just didn't happen. These past couple of days I've been feeling a bit under the weather as the heat has made me it's [censored] (it took the top and made me be the woman *sob*). Damned 105 heat index *shakes fist at the weather*

Thus, larger hands speak louder. Small and dainty hands would come off as very quiet and passive... and delicate. Larger hands convey utility -they look as if they can truly grasp things, hold things, manipulate things, hit things... in other words they are truly capable hands. Smaller ones come off as fragile and delicate (not really the domain of the supper hero
), if they hit something, they would break and would have a hard time really grasping something.
. I like to make things good and solid and when I'm putting down my forms, I tend to go a bit overboard with the hand and it's fingers and what it's doing. I want it to stand out a bit from the arm, have the feeling that it can swivel about, etc... same with the feet. The end result is slightly larger then normal hands and feet, but then, maybe they should be. After all, after the face (and eyes) they are some of the most important parts to the human figure. They must be given their due.

Okay, but I have managed to get Hem's all penciled in. No tree yet and no background. I will have all of that penciled in by the end of tomorrow night if not before.
Hems Pencil
And since that one is kinda small and hard to see the detail... here's a detail shot. As you could probably tell, it's going to be a very vertical piece.
And to Greymist, Pep pretty much summed up the hands and feet thing... or one reason. The hands are very important to communication in figurative art pieces... since there's no sound
Feet are similar. Larger feet are stabilizing, they root the character, show that they have strong footing. They also convey a sense of utility. They have the feeling that they can carry the figure far and wide. Small feet give the idea that the character can easily be pushed over and would have a difficult time going very far on them. They are week and delicate (again, not the realm of the hero).
Beyond all that, it's just the way I draw
