Stetting up for Item of power! thanks ahead of tim
I look forward to the IoP trail as a way to keep my sg involved and another avenue of "new content". But i will not risk the hard work my sg has put into the base - although Team Vanguard is in the top 50 last i checked, we have worked too hard to risk 1/2+ years work if say the sg computer goes down. I submit the best way to seperate those that want to pvp from pve'rs is to allow, at the raids beginning, the defending sg can give up the IoP. No worries then aobut losing the huge ticket items from greifing (cuz you know that never happens) and lets those raiders/pvp'r do their thing....
*nerf* Darn! Oh well.. I will just have to rebuild. Ah.. this works *nerf*
Darn it.. well I will rebuild again.. oh this might *nerf*
Grr.. this is getting annoying.. rebuild agai- *nerf*
I wasn't even finished rebuilding the las- *nerf* But.. *nerf* I *nerf* ......*nerf* *nerf* *nerf*

So wait ... at least for a while, we can run (and finish) the CoP trial and enjoy an IoP without the hassle of defending against raids? Talk about a pleasant surprise.

Nice carrot for the salad.
Funny thing about lettuce after it sits for a while though...

The Cathedral of Pain is expected to be released prior to Issue 8, and it will be a little different than originally planned. It will be PvE oriented and the trial will remain active for 7 days.

Hero groups DO fight on occasion, yes??
Especially when it's over something evil like an "Item of Power" from an evil group like the Rularuu (not sure the backstory on it, but if anyone could fill in the holes and say that it is only safe in MY posession type storyline)
Cricket, can you clarify this please? The CoP trial was already entirely PvE in all its previous incarnations, so in what sense will it be PvE oriented?

You are correct. The trial itself was (and will be) all PvE. But there was PvP in the Cathedral of Pain process: it is the next step in the cycle (raiding) where the PvP came into play. That isn't part of the trial run itself, but there is a connection. If you walked away from the trial with an Item of Power it meant that you should probably expect to be raided by another supergroup.

Yes it is SO heroic for other hero groups to go break into another hero groups base and STEAL something, while causing property damage /rolleyes
Really who thought this up?

So, wait...we won't be able to raid bases for IoPs now? Talk about a huge let down.

Can't please everybody. It's fun to be on the other side for a change.
