Millenium Arena! (Open RP)
Hal's illusions dispersed, as he struggled to get up. . . But his body was beginning to glow, and wings were forming on the back of his head. . .
And Schizophrenias gleefully conjured a massive thorn filled with deadly poison, and hurled it at the weakened Ian in an attempt to impale him. . .
While Schizo was preparing his thorn attack, Ian was planning on a way to defend against it. His spirit slipped into the ground, "Please, earth. Just a little cover if you will." As the thorn approached, a half dozen pillars of rock jut from the ground around Ian, some catching the thorn before it came near.

"Uh oh..." Marcus sighed. Having fought enough metahumans to know this, he decided it would be best to dispose of Hal quickly.
And so he flipped out frag grenades.
Ten of them. Connected by one long pin and string.
"So long, meta-[censored]!" He sang as he whipped the grenades at Hallucinogen...
The frag grenades all hit, but when the smoke cleared, beams of light were shooting out of it, followed by a brilliant, glowing Hal, who was clearly seriously wounded from the grenades, but not enough to go down, thanks to the invulnerability he enjoyed in this form. His Phantasm appeared again, and scooped him into the air. Aloft, Hal began healing himself, as the Phantasm attacked. . .
Meanwhile, Schizophrenias did not really care much that Ian had blocked his attacks. It was giving him an excellent excuse to search for Ian's mind so he could crush it. But he doubted Ian wold leave him alone for long, so the Coralax waited outside the spikes of rock, ready to attack with another wave of cold as soon as the warrior showed himself. . .
This probably wont work, but its worth a shot, thought Ian, among dozens of other things. From within the shell of earth Ians voice shouted, Gamblers Cut to Lotus Drop! About three Ians leapt from the rock formations and descended down on the nearby Coralax with swords held over their heads ready for a vertical attack.

((Pokes Soviet. . . if that IS your real name now ))
The Coralax was not particularily bright, and all three Ians hit it squarely on the head. Dazed, it attempted to throw a large sea urchin at one of the three.
But Schizo had closed in on Ian's mind, and a few copies weren't going to fool him. Ian would feel a terrible force closing in on him like a vice, trying to crush his sanity to dust. . .
Feint Drop, came a voice to Schizos left. The attacks from the three Ians simply passed through the coral creature and its urchin attack also passed through any of the illusions it was aimed at. Soon, Ian's spirit projections faded out. Ian was standing not but a pace and a half away from Schizo, his bokken returned to his belt and his arms crossed.
The instant Schizo began to feel around for Ians mind, Ian pelted him in the head with two punches and a kick to his side to break his focus and keep his one-and-a-half pace of spacing from his adversary.
((Feint Drop is a purely defensive technique. I was kind of expecting you to attack or defend against them.))

((Schizo would have, but his Coralax is really dim. ))
Schizo attempted to make the punches hit the spikes that ringed his head by swerving it. By the time Ian kicked his side, thorns were sprouting all over his body. Regardless, it had broken his concentration, and he had left Ian's mind.
Meanwhile, the Coralax had realized that nothing had actually hit it, and another urchin flew towards what was presumably the real Ian. . .
Marcus flicked out the mini-sapstick and drained the energy from the light as it approached, returning with yet another blast from his shotgun.
The spikes on Schizos head didnt manage to connect with Ians fist but the thorn that sprouted from his side got Ian in the leg but caused next to no damage just like Ians punches. Can I have this dance? Ian asked as he lunged forward to Schizo with a hand. He quickly grabbed at the villains wrist in a way that turned Ians arm so he grabbed under and around Schizos wrist(partially for the next move but mostly to grab around the thorns). Without a split second to think, Ian pulled Schizo closer to him but turned so they were almost back to back. Ian thrust his leg back to push Schizo back to the one-and-a-half pace spacing and into the direction of the urchin attack.

The Phantasm had little trouble pulling Hal out of the way of the shotgun blast. It focused now on defending Hal, as he continued to heal himself.
Schizo, meanwhile, was pulling the urchin out of his face. "You suck!" he remarked, shooting backwards past his Coralax, firing thorns in a wide arc as he went to cover himself. Clearly, he couldn't let this guy get too close. . .
((That's the problem with playing minion-level characters.))
((So few attacks...))
Marcus eyed the Phantasm carefully and loaded up some more dispersion shot, letting it fly.
There was no way Ian was going to let his enemy get away. With just his natural quickness, Ian stayed on Schizos trail, dodging and deflecting thorns with his knuckle guards.
((I would suggest a combo attack but all Ian has is melee attacks....mostly at least.))

As Schizo flew back, he spat on the ground. And where the spittle landed, a huge geyser of saliva roared into being, hurtling straight for Ian. With any luck, Ian would at least be too busy throwing up to attack.
Hallucinogen, unfortunately, saw the attack, and covered his mouth abruptly, looking queasy. His Phantasm was hit and vanished, and Hal was dropped unceremoniously to the ground.
"Dangit, Schizo!" he yelled. "Why have you got to HAVE attacks like that?"
(OOC: Why am i not surprised Troll/Soviet is using sap sticks? )
(('Cause I'm good like that.))
Marcus took advantage of the situation as fast as he could.
Loading up HE pellets, he swung the shotgun around, flicking a switch and setting it to Auto.
He had a full clip of 6 shots.
BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM...
Ians plan to stay close was interrupted by a sickening *Sploosh* of some kind of liquid that he narrowly escaped. It was such a narrow escape, he had to boost his speed with a little chakra just to be sure. Ian skid, using a hand to slow him down so he could quickly survey the situation, only to be assaulted by the liquid again. Ian gracefully backflipped out of the way and landed in a crouching position. That stuff...is that your...? Ewww!

(OOC: Hey go ahead and keep using em I wanna establish grounds for banning them from the arena.
Especially since the limiter doesn't work on things that don't require kinetic force to use. i.e. it'll work on the swing of the stick itself, but the effect of draining a person's endurance isn't effected. EMP grenades are already banned since they can effectively 'kill' robots.
Nothing personal, but if they're banned then it works the other way: no one has to defy the laws of physics to avoid them.
From an RP perspective it could be used to counteract the possibility of two Masters working together to give one another wins by providing sap sticks and turning the kinetic limiter WAAAAAAAAAY up.)
((Because his opponent hasn't moved in <insert random amout of time> Ian wins by technicality!))

"Urgh. . ." Hal groaned, the bullets hitting him in the shoulder, the chest, and the side. He was shortly gone, having been teleported to the hospital.
"No freakin' FAIR!" Schizo roared. "This SUCKS! Now I have to do EVERYTHING myself!"
Thorns fired from Schizo's arms as though they themselves were a machine gun with the limiter removed. He pivoted them all around the arena, attempting to hit Ian and Marcus as they dodged his repulsive geyser. . .
Wha-...? Ian said before a barrage of thorns flew at him. He focused on weaving between them but still managed to see Hallucinogen teleporting to the hospital. Oh man, I wanted a chance to fight him....oh well, I hope hes okay, he thought before he felt something sprinkling on him. It was the spittle from the geyser. Yuck! he said, as shivers ran up his spine and he began filling slightly queasy. Then a rush of cold followed, the Coralax tried to stop him in his tracks with a burst of cold breath. He pushed away from the Coralax, his speed sapped by the cold but still fighting to escape the thorns. C-c-crud, s-someone get thisss thing away f-f-f-from me, he managed to utter, drawing his bokken and holding it out straight in front of him, ready to attack or defend.
((So, is that other match going to ever move? And can I suggest another match? I want a 4-5 member match, no teams, everyone against everyone, all attacks halved in damage and throw some twist in there like 1/4 -speed or something.))

((I guess everyone forgot about this thread...))

(OOC: Nope...just stuck)
((Well, I want to start another match....but this one will be finished.))

"So what do you think?" Annette spoke to a mysterious figure.
)
"..."
"You're going to fight? So soon? I didn't think..."
"..."
"You're right...my apologies Master Kinto."
With that, the shadow was gone.
(OOC: I promised storyline
