I quite like it! And I love the direction with the boots. I wish those types of gear was available in game. But, alas...

Thanks very much...and eventually, I'll make a Absinthium pic I'll like...lol

Glad you like... and hey, I don't mind you not being satisfied with Abby ... and I love the direction your going. The 5min drawing to get her proportions down is spot on! Not only are ya good... but if that's only 5 min of work, yer freakin' amazing... and fast... damn...

You have to keep in mind, not everyone draws with a piece of mechanical pencil lead held in tweezers while looking through a magnifying glass at it like you do you freak.

You know I'm going to beat you up now for getting three awesome drawings

AK, you should harrangue him for another

It look like i'll be doing a comic and a few covers in the coming months. When that comes, my production time here might slow down quite a bit.

The linework i'll use for the comics will be less detailed, as to facilitate inking and color (my detailed linework would just be digitally painted over, so theres no need to add more details such as shadows). So, I wont know untill then how much work this will entail...

But until then, I think i'll always have time for this thread! Just my turn around time might be slower.

Later on, I might post another "how to" on muscle structure. Let me know what ya guys want

Yes please!!! That's the hardest thing for me to do right now. I guess that's 'cause I'm not a huge workout kind of person and all. I think the best way for me to learn would be to have many different angles of the same muscle. I've been having a hard time finding that online.

Hey I finished Atomic Knight. And just in case you forgot here's Roxstar in his new uniform for trade.

I decided that I needed to keep my drawing hand busy, so I decided to give this a whirl. Here is what I came up with. I tried a few new things on the piece, but it doesn't leave me totally satisfied.. Anyways, instead of hijacking your thread are welcome inmy art thread.

I'll be back later with some pictures of my hero (one who isn't in black! ), if you happen to get a spare moment to sketch/draw her between your comic / cover drawings. Which reminds me, congrats on that man! I'm sure they'll look awesome!

No need for permissions, anyone can do anything with what I do here. As far as i'm concerned, the drawing is yours. By the by, if anyone wants to ink or color a drawing i'm going to do for them, let me know and I can pencil it so you can ink and/or color it easier. (it's also faster than full pencils..)

Well, untill I can get back to the drawing table, i thought I'd repost some art for my group, the Legendaries, here. The old post is so lost on the pages, It might be better here anyway.

First up, Pep Rally!

Because of Peps example, I was inspired to pick up the pencil again and show all of you guys what I can do.

Can I have a "Rah-Rah" for Pep, please?

Whatchutalkin'boutWil..er AK? You're the one that got me to come to the fanart forums, and start drawin' again with your cool Legendaries drawings. I just started trading so I could scam..er acquire some cool drawings in return for somethin' I wanted to do anyway.

Thanks to everyone that's traded with me.

You're welcome....err will be. Almost done, just need to do the lower half of her body. Then it's time to fix up some of AK's mistakes that I made. I think the one I drew for him was a little too fast and not planned out well. Wait where have I heard something about taking your time before.....

*hmmm*

I eventually want to draw Atomic Knight. But, playing him almost everyday, I wanted to do something different...not to mention, he has a hard costume with the circuitry and details.

So, I was playing with this idea...

Atomic Knights Workshop

This sketch idea shows not only that AK is a human in a metal suit, but also his love for toys and 50's sci-fi. It also allowed me to show his various armors.

If I were to draw this in a comic, I'd not render it so much, and just lay down the basic line. Then, let the inker do it justice. But, Like I said, this is just a quick sketchbook idea.

I tried to render something else subtle as well. I tried to make AK's human face look like the armored one. trying to show they are one and the same, armor on or off.

Quick... sketchbook... I don't believe you sir!

Honestly though, that's a really splendid piece. The little toy robot in the lower right got a good chuckle out of me. You do such an excelent job when shading things, it's really stylish and feels like it has mass to it. Just out of idle curiousity, what do you use to draw / shade with? (I've just been using a mechanical pencil, I used to hate 'real things' for some reason.)

The detail you put into his hands boggles me too. I can't visualize them half as well. I'll have to study how you drew them when I get out of work...

Makes me really curious about how well done the real pieces you're working on will turn out.

That is SO CUTE AK!!! I didn't realize that Atomic Knight wasn't a robot!

His face really does look like the armor. And there's so much depth! *is jealous* The robbie the robot was a nice touch

Posted

Oh that is really cool. Love the toy tinkering you did!! Kind of reminds me of a character that I made. He's an elec/dev blaster that was originally an engineer...this would fit his personality very well, minus the suit. Anywayz, no more rambling.

Look around you, Sarrate. Thats actually a backdrop drawn by AK. You are actually on a space station in outer space millions of miles from Earth. Thats how good AK's "real" drawings are. Kinda blows your mind, don't it?

And AK, can you return that Atari 2600 controller to the Legendaries' game room, I want to play space invaders later.

I use a simple .05 mechanical pencil for the things i've done here. Nothing fancy. I used to use many pencil types, (B, H, HB, H2, etc.) But always seemed to go back to only one. I also use disposiable technical pens or a tul black ballpoint.

Hands can be as expressive, and sometimes even more so, than the face. I use the hands to help convey, and I plan them out with great care. I also drew thousands of hands in sketchbooks, and even use my own as a model.

And I say it was a quick sketch because I didnt plan it out. I just started with the helmet and drew out from there to the foreground, and background.

Oh, and here's another reprint from a previous post:
Mr. Mighty, Leader of the Legendaries
