(( This is true. Even if I had my powers, I would not take the Kraken solo. Way too overpowered. Besides, since the Kraken is considered a Giant Monster, it would not matter what level you are. In case you haven't fought Lusca, a level 22 has the same challenge a level 50 does. ))
Experiment held the assault rifle in his hands as he exited the truck. He switched the gun to full auto, and made sure the ammo clip was full.
"Yeah, I know how to work this, I think."

"What are we gonna do?" yelled darkgun as he dodged another one of krakens attacks. He was getting tired, and they needed to take kraken out soon.
((Yeah, I'm gonna have to agree there as well. And I guess since most of us decided to let the Kraken stay for now, that's what it's doing.))
"Geez!" Langley yelled, diving out of the way of a tentacle, which smashed into the dirt not two feet beside him, "Is it me, or are we just making this thing mad?"
As he dodged the Kraken's 'attacks',which didn't seem to be really directed at anyone per se, otherwise they'd be dead already, he hurried over to Coldfire and Darkgun, quickly directing them to take cover behind a large rock.
"I'm assuming you're the ones who called for help - Coldfire Kaiser and Darkgun, right?" he gasped, almost out of breath. As the heroes mustered him, they could see why - he was carrying two assault rifles on his back in addition to the weapon he wielded in his hands.
"Now I don't know how far your powers are still active." Langley continued, unstrapping the two weapons, "But if you can handle one of these, feel free to use it."

Mrrah'chkkt relentlessly pushed down a rising tide of instinctive fear as she sprinted towards a cluster of beleaguered heroes. The looming bulk of the Kraken had caused her hackles to rise and her ears to flatten against her skull. Every instinct told her to flee.
The hell with instinct. There was a job that needed doing. Reason was needed. Intellect was needed. The only real weapons left to most of the people here were their minds. It was the only weapon Technokitty had ever really needed.
A wary eye on the flailing tentacles, she leapt towards the position behind the truck. As she landed, the grim-faced heroes nodded to her, accepting her as one of their own, just like the big man in King's Row had. It amused her, and her ears perked up in spite of themselves.
She noticed one of the heroes holding an assault rifle. His posture indicated no trepidation at using the weapon...but an air of slight unfamiliarity. She glanced down and noticed the selector switch was set to full auto.
"Three shot," she said.
"Esxcuse me?"
"Three-shot burst...the middle setting," Technokitty replied. "At this range, it will be easier to heep your shots on a vital area. You'll still hit it on full-auto...but a lot of the shots will hit where it will barely even notice."
The hero smiled and gestured as if to hand the rifle to her. She returned the smile, politely close-mouthed so as not to bare her fangs. "Oh, no," she protested, "I'm too small. The stock is too long and I wouldn't be able to hold it properly. You'll do much better than me!"
She turned her eyes back on the monster, frantically searching for a way to deal with its rampage.
"And in this moment, I will not run.
It is my place to stand.
We few shall carry hope
Within our bloodied hands."
*huff, puff, wheese* Orloc was sorely missing his flying ability right now.
But there it was in front of him, the Kraken. He'd long wanted his shot at this monster, and now the time was here. Fate truely did smile on this monster today.
Near the beast, a group of Heroes were making their best progress, using guns, or the few mutants left with abilities. Rushing forward, Orloc levelled his rifle and *foop* out went the grenade. For any of the group to notice the newcomer, they might be struck by the red colored goggles, and the pointed ears tucked under a military hat, but the Kraken was of more importance. However, the heroes did start hearing shouted instructions with a mild germanic accent.
"Focus fire on the snout, the beasts armor will be thinner there. Focus it, the best way to bring it down."
((Can everyone do me a favor and delete their posts up until Kraken was deleted, I have a plan. If you can't, like me, ignore those posts and move on, I will now comence what happens after Kraken was defeated.))
Coldfire looked up at the panting woman. Her power was drained in full. She was in no condition to fight and wouldn't be for a while. "Thanks, we couldn-" Coldfire was interupted by the sound of a tremendous roar. Kraken wasn't done, he wasn't by a long shot. Coldfire flew over the lake and saw that Kraken wasn't looking to fight them, but was looking to unleash Hydra. In the middle of the lake, sat the giant creature, and Kraken was it's guard.
((ok, so we gotta kill both kraken and hydra now? im assuming we do))
"OH [censored]" said darkgun "And I was getting 2 weeks vacation next week! well, lets get rid of 'em. anyone got a strategy? I say take out kraken first."
"No, we have to take Hydra, that [censored] controls the Kraken." Coldfire said as he watched in horror as hundreds of hydra rose from the lake.
"Well, does it have any weaknesses? Im kinda new to this whole giant monster tryin to kill me thing. Lets do it ASAP, cause I have a bad feeling about staying here too long." replied darkgun.
"Right then." Coldfire said launching himself in the air, "I can still fly so I'll distract the Kraken." Coldfire knew the risks, but he had to take out this thing, or Paragon was going down.

Blade lifted himself out of the carnage that was a group of hellions and skulls. "Jesus..." he said looking around, "Is anyone still alive?!" Blade looked around in dispair looking at the carnage of heroes and villians.

Becky stood with tears in her eyes as she looked on at the gate to Dark Astoria. Heroes had tried to escape but the gaurds had locked them out. Pantheon killed them, to be more specific, Adamastor killed them. It had torn through the gate and tried to attack Talos, but the she had stopped it with the help of several others. "It's terrible..." Becky said as Carlos walked up behind her. "I know, but there are still heroes in there." Carlos said intent on keeping her mind on the task at hand. "Arachnos did this didn't they?" She asked in sorrow looking at the carnage Adamaster had made out of the once great heroes. "Yes. That's why I came here, to warn you all...I failed..." Carlos said turning his face. "It isn't your fault..." she said walking through the destroyed gate.
As coldfire flew up to distract the dezien, darkgun yelled "Fire at will!!!" as he blasted away with all he had at Hydra, hoping the combined force of everyone present would be enough to take it down.
'As crazy as it sounds, it seems to be the only option we have." Langlet agreed, loading a missile.
"Either it's going down or the city is!"
He fired the projectile...

Orloc kept his finger on the trigger, pausing only to slip new clips into his trusty rifle. Around him, heroes and the occasional vfellow villain all kept firing their clips, trying to take on the beast. Behind red goggles, Orloc saw the warwalls, still with their runes upon them, and pondered what was happening.

Inside the Wolfs Throat, Apollon felt unnaturally cold. The Council kept the tunnel far below normal temperature in order to keep it comfortable for their super soldiers, the Vampyr as well as the Galaxy. But, progress into the tunnel was going well.
"Halt! You, there. You're off position."
Apollon looked over, realizing he'd been spotted.
"Uh, call from base. New patrol assignment." Apollon kept the finger resting on the rifles trigger, incase necessity arose.
"I have nothing here... stupid Interlink. This place has not run right since the change... nevermind. Proceed, but be careful. A group of those troll things has already been sent inside. I wouldn't want to get too close to them."
Apollon proceeded further into the tunnel. To his right, a line of Vampyr stood on a coolant pipe, keeping a watchful eye in the darkness. One wrong twitch...
Coldfire hurled a fireball at Kraken and got it to follow him. As he flew through the narrow woods the beast crushed trees and tore apart stone. As Cold flew over the gate he waited. He had expected the beast to come through the wall, but had instead leapt over and almost crushed the hero. "Dammit!" Cold said blocking falling debree from the monster's landing. Cold dodge a powerful swing and then flew into the building behind him, as he flew through the rooms, countless peices of metal and concrete tore after him. It was then he realized, he couldn't fight this thing off, and he had just signed his death warrant if the others didn't finish up and help him soon. Not only that, but they weren't powerful enough with just the ones there to stop the beast.
"C'mon!! this isnt working as well as I had hoped. Is there a weak spot on the hydra? I could try to hit it there, if there is one." suggested darkgun.
Orloc hears Darkguns lamant and gestures to the circle under his faceplate.
"The Hydra's weakspot is just under it's mouth. I've studied this thing for years, waiting for this opportunity. I'm out of grenades or I'd suggest lobbing a few toards that area."
*sigh* "anyone hare recall friend? Im going to phase shift and go to that area. when phase shift wears off, I will trigger my largest atack." said darkgun. "I hope somone has recall friend" he said to himself.
Kraken took a mighty swing and smacked Coldfire out of the air and into an office building. In the rubble that used to be a wall lie the battered hero bleeding and pinned down under heavy steel. "Hurry...pinned...down..." Cold coughed into the broadcaster. About that time, Kraken began shaking the building attempting to collapse it.
As the Kraken tried to bring the building down, it was disracted by several bolts of gleaming energy slamming into it's back.
"Com'on ugly!" Stella cried, readying another proton scatter. "Face the Light!" The bolts peppered into the beast and succeded it pulling it's attention off the building and the hero inside.
Stella backwinged toward the park, continuing to toss her attacks while wincing from the toxic sludge the Kraken retaliated with as it laborouslly followed her away from the building.
That's it... keep your eye on the bright birdie... I really hope someone can help out soon. The Kheldian though as she boosted her essence to recover from the damage she had recieved.
Pinnacle
Heroes
When in danger, or in doubt; Run in circles, scream and shout.
Figuring that now was as good a time as any, darkgun phase shifted and hopped towards that kheldian and kraken. He jumped up to where the weak spot was and channeled all his energy into his most devastating attack. The kraken slumped down, ald looked like it had died, but it soon regained its composure and continued towards stella, albiet at a much slower pace. darkgun fell down from atop the giant monster, bruised, bloody and completely drained. All he managed to mutter was "help, i need help. the kraken, hit it where i damaged it need help..." in a weak voice into the broadcaster before he slid into unconciousness, hovering on the bring of death.
((You were supposed to attack Hydra the giant monster in the middle of the lake not Kraken.))
Blade flew through the gate to Perez Park after hearing from a fleeing hero's broadcaster that Coldfire was in need of help. As soon as he entered, he saw a Kheldian fly past attacking Kraken. The beast was readying a haymaker, so Blade rushed forward and jumped to stab the beast in the head. His katana sunk deep and made the beast scream in pain. "Need help ma'am?" Blade said doing a backflip to the ground.
((Okay, powerposter is history. Apollon, oh what a secret you shall find.))
Apollon is nearly knocked over as alarms suddenly roar to life and Crey power guards rush past him.
"What's happening?!" He asks a Trollkin Gunner who was popping in a clip.
"Da Kraken's up, 'n boss says me gotsta klomp it afore it innerups da plans, you comin'?!" The Troll explains and inquires, motioning to the literally hundreds of other villains swarming past them.

Coldfire ran out from behind a tree as kraken backhanded the entire cluster and was launched to the feet of another hero. "Are you Coldfire Kaiser?" he asked. "Yah, and that giant thing is all but unstoppable..."
