Hehe, I wonder what the self-destruct is.

Edit: By the way, iakona, you rock for finding this stuff, and people like Red Tomax and those helping with the other power quantifications rock for getting it out there.

Self Destruct is just a power to kill off the pet after 4 minutes. All non-permanent pets have this power.

Any screens of the Ghost Widow armor yet?

It occured to me that it might be the dismissal power. I didn't think about it, but I'm guessing that's the exact same thing.

Dark Embrace is no where near the endurance hog that some seem to believe. It seems comparable in endurance drain to my Shadow Fall. Note I have Shadow Fall slotted with two reduce endurance SO and Dark Embrace slotted with one damage resistance. I have no numbers, these are just what I've observed from usage.

On the other hand, the audio for Dark Embrace is annoying as heck. Kinda grates on ya. It took some close inspection to figure out that the icon is not as aweful as it first appears.

No screenshots, but it gives you a kind of smokie aura and you get an hourglass figure every once in a while

You can now view the powers of all the new patron pets from the patron powerset pages themselves.

e.g. Dominator Mu Mastery + Mu Guardian

Villain Powers Index

It's actually cheaper than Shadowfall.

So it isn't the normal Dark Armor fair, as far as the graphic goes?

anyone know how long the holds last? their mag? etc?

ugh, just looking at the boards, 71 dmg for a snipe on my stalker, that's one gimp-tastic snipe

Has anyone tested the the damage and tohit buff from Soul Drain? This is key to me on whether I take this pool or not. I know the tohit would be a guesstimate, but at least the damage could be accurate.

Thanks for all your work, testers.

I dont know how to test test the numbers but i can tell you my general feeling about the first 3 powers in this set.
soul drain, way to short a buff, about 20 seconds only since im stacking it with fs and sp it hard to tell how much more dmg i and teamates do with it, also its got a very contained radius and its a per hit buff on acc and dmg so you have to get all those mobs very close to get more than the base buff number.
the shield seems pretty nice, im and ice, kin so i didnt put any end red in it and doesnt seem to be that bad a drain even when running tactics and assault. i definately can take more dmg with it on. though im still no tank, and in rv i can take 4-5 solid hits from a full lvl scrapper wo dying.
soulstorm. i like this power alot, out of the box its very accurate. animation is quick to fire(and the hold animation is VERY cool) holds for around 10 seconds with no hold enh in it, and hits fairly often against high def ats if i stack freeze ray on first. cant wait to see it slotted up some!

After reading this whole thread I am going to be bold and say this, we have been cheated big time on these powers. How can they expect us to actually pick a permanent patron when they still do not give out all the power information? Some of the info on the plaques is kind of vague, and from some of the testing in this thread alot of the info appears to be wrong. I sure as hell wont be picking a patron on live servers especially without all possible information on the powers. To me this is flat out unfair. You come out better just picking what powers you have in your sets as well as power pools.

in the few characters i've looked at of mine, the FIRST ATTACK does more dmg than the first patron attack (for brutes and stalkers)....uhh what the hell? why get a worse power at lvl 41 than at lv 1?

seriously, these are horrible

Not really impressed with any of the Patron Powers. Its kinda not unlike leveling up to 41 and getting told look you gotta pick one of these 4 People and become thier personal slave choose wisely cause you won't be able to ever change your mind.

You get told hey these with be really powerful, because hey you won't ever be able to change your mind. Then you walk over and your new found master tosses you a couple scraps off the table and proceeds to beat you for a few days.

It all makes sense the powers are so weak, because they don't ever want you to be strong enough to kill them and take thier place by Recluses' side.

Epic type powers are supposed to be a reward and more powerful then regular powers. You are supposed to be giddy with glee and imagine your self spending months in PvP using them to demolish heroes. A snipe attack in the Hands of a Stalker should be able to pretty much one shot a hero. You spent many weeks earning these powers and you can't pick and choose like heros so by nature they shouldn't be weaker then thier regular counterparts.

Patron Power Pools should be unbalancing and unfair after all they are late game powers and we can never change them...

Well, of course they have a feature your level one attack doesn't have - range.

Not that I disagree with you about that not being worth the difference. I'm just pointing out the likely logic behind it.

Of course, when I got Laser Beam Eyes on my Scrapper, I went and tested and, at the time (I don't know if it's still true) LBE did the same damage as the smallest broadsword attack. Because of that I respecced out of that attack and kept LBE.

Not sure why that's not consistently the case.

yeah range can be a little useful in PvE, but having a dinky ranged attack in pvp is worthless

and this is the lvl 41 power

40 levels above the lvl 1 power. it should be like twice as strong and have a range of like 50 feet

Laser Beam Eyes has uses in PvP. As a melee player, surely there have been situations in which someone is almost dead, but managing to stay ahead of you and out of your reach. Laser Beam Eyes can finish the job (and I've seen it used that way too).

Melee class damage is balanced around the fact that people can GET AWAY from you. Right now Laser Beam Eyes hits me for about 130 in RV; doubling that in accordance with your proposal would be 260 out of my 1000ish health, or 1/4 of my total life. I don't think you need to be able to 4 shot me with Laser Beam Eyes for it to be a meaningful attack (and with Build Up, it would only be 3 shotting, since the first would be doubled. A Built Up critical would almost one shot me).

Why should you as a Scrapper get a 260 damage ranged attack in your epic when NONE of my attacks do 260 damage as a Dominator?

about 100

That's not half of Laser Beam Eyes. It's quite a bit over half.

round 100? Someone else hit 50? I gotta check this out. Gonna go test spirit shark right now on a lvl 50 enemy.

This is what I got

Spirit Shark [2acc 3dam 1rech lvl 50]

These 2 tests were done with little to no fury.

Lvl 50 Ice Thorn Caster [Circle of Thorns Minion]
54.19 + (5.41*4) = 75.83

Lvl 50 Guide [Circle of Thorns Minion]
58.64 + (5.85*4) = 82.04

This test was at around 50 fury

Lvl 50 Ice Thorn Caster [Circle of Thorns Minion]
80.61 + (8.05*4) = 112.81

If you need a test with build up tell me and I'll get right on it.

i was just guessing, since the lvl 40 dmg is about 40 pts. add 10 lvls and 3 SO dmg enhances and it should be around 100

Based on the listed 44 damage at level 40, ranged attack damage progression for Brutes, and 3-even-level SOs, it would cause about 88 damage at level 50.
