COV will go up to 40 first before the more complex stuff gets added that will make 40-50 more interesting.
I think this would be a cool thing.
And to have a special super-hazard where PVP is completely disabled.
This takes me back with the whole Beyonder storyline in Marvel that basically had every hero in all the comics fighting together, and, if I remember correctly, Magneto helped the X-Men.
As people have said here, it could be Similar to the Hive, and/or similar to the Rikti Crash Site.
I was kind of underwhelmed when I first visited the crash site because I thought the ship would be MUCH bigger. The military stuff there is cool, though.
So the Rikti could find a new way back to Earth, which could bring us together to fight them. They could be special Super-Rikti or something. The ship could be much larger and could be fully operational and powerfully lethal.
The ship could hover above the zone, and periodically send out threatening pod walker vehicles like in Half-Life 2 and War of the Worlds, etc.
Unless it's a special task force, or something like the Hive, I'll have to say I'm against having heros and villains capable of teaming up. I can't think of a single reason, outside of a mutual threat to humanity (like the Rikti or Hamidon), that heros and villains would even want to team up! If you're a hero who would actually team up with people commiting the crimes that you're fighting against, then you're not really a hero.... you're just a guy running around looking for heads to bust. I don't like forcing roleplaying on people, but I say at the very least the game should adhere to its lore and purpose... keep heros doing heroic deeds, and keep villains doing dastardly deeds.

Well I think that is what everyone is saying, this would be a very special situation like a Hami raid but only on a even larger scale.
Would have its on special zone with its on special rules, and its on special reward at the end of the mission.

I read this in a Q&A, forget which site. The reason this isn't in the game yet (if ever) is because it would be too easy for players to grief each other. Villain quits team and attacks heroes while they're resting after a fight, leading them into a trap, playing poorly on purpose, etc. If they can figure ways around this, it could be added.

I think that would be cool. It would definitely make me feel villainous to betray you suckers... i mean good buddies... But I spose you could make something like when you get kicked from teams or dropped off a tf where youre auto kicked outta the mission

Agreed, while it may be nice to play with friends who switched from CoH to CoV it would be a slap in the face of the setting (unless as said, for extreme threats)

Chances are, I'm guessing, they will throw another Rikti-like War at us. It might even stem from events in the Bloody Bay. I think they should do it where we have the option to team up or not, and depending on the majority of what we choose to do could determine the outcome of the event. Of course, not total destruction, but you catch my drift. Give the community a bit of a hand in shaping the outcome of the game.

From what I know, no. Not the actual zones. The only CoH zones we'll be hitting up are instanced.
